The Romance of Earth and Blue
PART 26 – Different Sides

And here I am now. Standing awkwardly in front of the Blue house. A simple house with a large enough yard. “Why just stand there? Come in,” said Blue while opening the door of his house.

I finally nodded and quickly took off my footwear and entered his house. “Sit down, I go back and yes,” he said.

Again I was only able to nod stiffly and then sit on one of the sofas. I looked at all I could reach with my eyes. On the white wall there are many family photos that display everything.

I can see a picture of where Blue was a kid. It turns out he was handsome long ago.

“Earth?” call Blue while returning.but this time he is not alone and holding the girl with long hair sof.

“Yasmin, try acquaintance with brother,” says Blue.

The girl just looked at me timidly. His face is very similar to Blue. Real pretty.

I stood up and approached him. “Hello, Yasmin. My name is Bumi,” I said introduce myself.

“Sister name Earth?” tanyakanya.

I nodded while giving a smile as he looked at me with his eyes looking full of admiration. “Cool sister name. If I can choose a name, I want to be Jupiter,” he said he had begun to dare to talk to me.

“You like Jupiter?” my many.

He nodded with spirit. “I have a book of planets. Wait a minute, I'll take ya.” first He ran back inside.

“He's still class 3. Long distance yes my age is the same Yasmin,” said Blue while chuckling.

“But exciting don't you have a girl adek?” my many.

“Yes that. He's usually tough on people. But same you become familiar.”

Yasmin returned with a book whose paper looked shabby. He seems to like reading that book.

“Kakak, see this.” He pointed to pictures of planets containing explanations there.

“But English, I don't understand.”

I smiled because he was really excited. “It's a storybook, right? Want brother to read in Indonesian?” bargained.

He nodded with pleasure. I glanced at Blue who was just observing from across.

“OK. Here sit.”

He sat down next to me and seemed ready to be my listener.

“One day, Pluto was adventuring in space. He met many wandering planets. But-“ I continue the story even though it is quite difficult because the pages have come off and make me have to quickly find the next page.

“finally all the planets work together to help balance the sun. They put their powers together to protect the sun. Finish.” I closed the book feeling satisfied because Yasmin looked so happy. Not in vain I have participated in the story telling race even though I did not get the title.

Blue Scroll across the smiling one looked at me. It was a completely different smile from before. A sincere and intoxicating smile.

“Kakak jago banget. Oh yeah, you know the bigbang theory?” ask again.

I was quite surprised because the little boy was now explaining the bigbang theory he knew. While we were busy discussing space, Mother Blue came. It makes my heart beat fast.

“There are guests yes,” he said hello when entering the house.

I stood up and regretted it.

“Loh this was yesterday right? Who is shopping with his mother?” turns out he knows me.

I smiled awkwardly. “Iya, aunt. I'm Blue's friend. It turns out aunty, the mother Blue yes,” I said.

“Oh gosh. The world is very narrow. Blue not made to drink his tea?”

“Do not bother aunt.”

“Gak. Been waiting here.”

He left me in. Whereas I just stared at Blue trying to see her expression.

“Ibook sales in market. Did you meet yesterday?” tanyakanya.

I'm nodding. However, I cannot divulge that I have known since yesterday.

“Iya. I didn't think it was your bundle,” I replied.

We talked about a lot of things. Mother Blue really appreciates me. He just showed me the photos of Blue as a child excitedly. “This is Blue when she became a tree on the art stage tk.”

“Loh why? You're hilarious. Funny about Earth?” his tank.

“Iya aunt.”

“Do not call aunt. Call mommy yes.”

I'm pretty surprised by that. “Iya, mother,” I repeat. I'm not ahu as red as what my face is now.

Before long there were some neighbors who called. “Mother is arisan. Mother lived first on Earth. Go home wait mother,” he said giving a message.

I'm assuring it. Now back only the three of us left. Yasmin had been sitting on my lap showing her toys.

“Yas, play there. Brother wants to be the same brother of Earth,” said Blue began to grumble.

But Yasmin doesn't seem to care about that.

“Son likes rabbits no?” tanyakanya.

“Like. You have a lot of rabbits, right?”

Yasmin nodded cheerfully. “Come we see rabbit.”

He pulled my hand. Blue only sighed but still followed our steps. Yasmin took me to her backyard. Here I saw some of the biggest rabbit-snails among the grass.

Blue opened a small gate to go to that place. When it opened, Yasmin immediately ran around and around catching her rabbits.

“Yas, don't do that. Later stress, on death again,” reprimand Blue.

He stopped and then cut. While I sat next to Blue under a large acacia tree that was so shady.

“We can not be alone deh,” grumbled Blue.

I just chuckle at hearing it. Yasmin walked up to me while carrying a white rabbit with her fine fur. “This is called Mimi. Funny right? Mimi looks like an Earth sister,” he said.

“Enak aja Earth equated with rabbit,” said Blue.

“Kan funny. Not like Brother Blue.” He then took some carrots that have been cut in such a way. “ayo love Mimi kak.”

I took the carrot and fed the rabbits. It feels so good.

Once we were there, we went back to the living room. But Yasmin had to teach so she could no longer play with me.

“Kakak, later play here fish lag?” ask before leaving.

“Iya. Later brother here again yes,” my words reassure him. Finally he nodded and left with his friends.

Blue is with me.

“You're not ashamed?” suddenly tanyanya.

“Ha? Shame why?”

“Yes my situation and my family's like this. Very different with you,” he said. I understand what the burden of his mind is.

I touched the top of his fist and stroked it gently making Blue look up and look at me. “What's your family why? They are warm and pleasant,” I replied.

“Earth, don't make me want to hug you right now.”

I chuckle to respond to him.

“Well, we're not people to be. Mother of sales, father of cattle, my brother works at a clothing store. At first our family lived well, until Yasmin was born. He had a heart defect that made him have to be operated on many times when he was a baby. Slowly, our mood deteriorated. Moreover, the father who has retired and can not work anymore because it is old age.

I work too. Serabutan. What work. But ugly, my prestige is too high. I don't want my friends to know. No one has known all this time. They know I am rich. Though the ijo had an older sister who was working outside the island, so titipin,” he explained.

I knew that what he needed the most were words like that. All this time everyone looked badly at Blue. Everyone only judged what seemed to him.

Blue grabbed my hand that was at the top of his head. He took my hand and made me fall in his arms. He hugged me so gently.

“I'm so grateful to have you.”
