The Extra Chapter 4

“So all this is true. You forgot your revenge, Ren. Shanuela's your enemy, she killed your lover. Woman is a criminal, deserves to rot in jail.” Kathy was suddenly fiery, blowing out all the emotions trapped in her chest. “Not to marry.” Bizarrely, he tries to remind Rarendra's initial goal of approaching the spoiled woman the daughter of the famous businessman—Shanuella SunShine.

“She's the mother of my son.” Rarendra closed his eyes for a moment. Kathy's words no longer affected her. He had already steadily eliminated the remaining grudges and started again with Shanuella.

“She killer. Not worth marrying, Ren. Why give him all this?” Kathy's voice rose an octave. Eyeballs were lashing out, lightning fury as if slicing through his interlocutor.

“I've forgiven him. Get out of here, don't show up in front of me again. I really want to start a new life. We will be married soon ...”

A slap hit Rarendra's cheek. The footprint of the palm was hot and left pain. Silently, he was unable to continue his sentence. Breathing up and down, provoked when there is a woman dare to play hands with him.

“Badness!” Rarendra growling. Hands clenched, ready to avenge the blow of the woman before him. “This is my life and Shan-Shan. No business with you.”

Kathy smiled cynically. “She handed her body to you, then suddenly you became weak. Even though she's the mother of your son, she's still a killer. Remember revenge. Remember the rules you made, Ren. Will not play feelings, will not fall in love, will not ...”

“I lost,” cut Rarendra. “I fell in love with him.”

“On his body. You are just crazy ...”

“I struggled to assume this feeling never existed. Trying to ignore the thump in the chest every time I saw it, resisting the beating of my heart that hunts down every time I looked at it, even from afar this pulse was real. I reject all. But, I realize. Slowly Shan-Shan got into it and mastered everything.

Kathy shook her head. “We agreed to destroy it. Then, why did you betray our deal? If there is a woman who can make you fall in love, it's me .. not her,” she said, full of confidence.

“I'm sorry. Get the fuck out of here. I gave up on my own feelings. I loved Shan-Shan, even for a long time. Since still hiding behind my vengeful feelings.”

Kathy shook her head. “You misrecognized the taste. This isn't love. You just feel alone and he sneakyly comes bringing the little girl to soften you.” 

Rarendra. “I loved him without me knowing. Over time the taste grew. My grudge is long gone, even when I ...”

Kathy shook her head.  The woman's snoring voice sounded nauseating.

“I fought to destroy it, but ... on reality .. I myself backed down.” Rarendra's mind glared. Recalling how weak he was when he had to punish Shanuella with his own hands and was forced to use others to eliminate the woman.

I couldn't sleep last night, I didn't feel calm. It's how a hitman hired to eliminate Shanuella works and make the woman disappear from the world. In the end, he was weak. Deciding to save his own enemies from execution.

“You're still playing your drama, ‘kan?” Kathy doesn't accept it. Smiling bitterly, the woman shook her head with a sad look. “This continues from your drama, ‘kan? Your unresolved revenge. You chose to marry her to torture her more cruelly than ever. Yes?”

Rarendra nodded confidently. The sparkle in his eyes revealed the contents of his heart that was in love. Not as dark as five years ago, controlled by anger and revenge.

“No. You're lying to yourself, Ren. He's your enemy, he's a killer. Should have been eliminated, not married, Ren.” Stepping closer, Kathy who had lost half of her mind hugged Rarendra. He held her tight as if not to take off. 

Kathy shook her head. “I hold all your secrets, Ren. Come on, we're best friends in destroying Shan-Shan. Why did you betray?”

“Go from here. Get out of my life. How much do you need to disappear from before me and Shan-Shan?”

“What are you willing to release for the sake of the little girl?” Kathy challenged.

“Everything.” Rarendra answered confidently. I'm willing to give up all mine even my life for my son.”

Smiling sweetly, Kathy looks beautiful. “Let go Shan-Shan then, for the sake of your son.”

Rarendra. The blood boils to hear Kathy's seemingly selfless ink. The emotions he had been holding back since then were now wriggling out of control. It no longer cared that the feminine figure before him was no match for her. Clenched hands ready to be anchored on women who from the beginning tested patience. However, the rampage within him subsided instantly as the voice of the little boy greeted from behind his back.

“Dad, want to pee.” Lana was already standing not far from Rarendra while squeezing her stomach. The two little girl's legs moved unsteadily, holding back the liquid that was about to come out.

“Oh, come.” Rarendra softened in seconds. The man who originally looked sadistic, suddenly turned sweet. Disappeared was already the cruel side that almost hit Kathy with a punch.

Dazed in disbelief, the woman who had been scared was silent watching.

“He really is Rarendra? Why do I look like I see different people?” Kathy monologue.

 “Mas, where are you?” Shanuella. Sitting in front of the rented house he used to occupy with Bayu, he was confused. 

“I in Bandung. Just arrived. There jobs. You cried? What's up?” 

A masculine voice sounded soothing behind the call. It's always been the safest place for Shanuella to come home.

“He hurt you?” asked Bayu, not calm after Shanuella chose silence. “Tell me, Shan.”

“The woman hugged him Mas. In front of me and Lana. I recognize ...” Back sobbing, Shanuella's hoarse voice sounded sad.

“Shan, don't cry. Maybe just misunderstood.”

“I didn't misunderstand, Mas. I saw it with my own eyes. He Kathy ..”

Bayu jerks. “Where are you? I'm going there now. Don't go anywhere, wait for me there.”
