“Shan, already. No cry. Remove your tears, hold your head. The one who should cry is him, not you. Who should regret it was him, not you.”

Bayu framed Shanuella's face, then wiped the tears that tracked the white cheeks smooth like marble with full tenderness. The sadness his wife felt reached him.

Five years of marriage, even though it is not a real husband and wife, still the sense of it is linked unwittingly. Like his feelings are suddenly tied to a beautiful figure who has been recognized as a wife. There were too many tests of life that they passed together, too many tears and laughter that both of them went through. When all became memories, he was sure they would feel the loss of each other.

“Already, save your tears for me only.” Bayu chuckles slowly. Even in such a situation, the man could still joke.

“Dia Blade, Mas. But, he did not want to admit it.”

Shanuella sat on the side of the gurney, squeezing Bayu's waist involuntarily. Swerving, shedding his feelings.

“Leave it. Blade or not, leave it. That won't affect anything. Show the world, you don't need it. He dumped you, didn't he?” Bayu tidied Shanuella's hair that decomposed messily and tucked behind the ear.

Shanuella nodded. The red and wet face slowly began to show a smile. Observing the mature man who had been looking after her and Lana without charging a reward.

“Mas.” Shanuella squeezed her husband's waist back.

“Hmm.”

Bayu lowered his gaze to be in line when speaking. The shady highlight of the man feels soothing and infiltrates into the heart.

“Why?” tanyanya, make sure. Back rubbing Shanuella's long hair, he stuck their forehead until the tip of the nose was joined together.

“I ... don't want to meet him, Mas.”

“Ya. If you don't want to meet .. don't accept the project. He's the owner of the house your company will handle, right?”

Shanuella nodded.

“But, later I was considered unprofessional, Mas. I don't want to be stamped like that.”

“Ya. Justdoit. He won't hurt you either. If he's brave, I'll come forward and defend you.” Bayu.

Shanuella. The words of the man who was now so close to him were almost not far away made the heart touched. Again he squeezed the waist of the husband, but Bayu continued to caress his wife's long hair. The two were silent for a moment, enjoying the puff of breath clashing in the air and warming each other's faces.

“I want to go home.”

“Lana definitely looking for us.” Bayu gives distance by rewinding his face a few inches back while reaching into the pocket of his pants. He had to make sure there was no call from home.

“What Mbok Sri called you, Mas?”

Bayu. The focus remains on the screen. “ We go home now, Shan.”

Before actually getting out of bed, Bayu still had time to give a kiss on Shanuella's forehead. A light touch to strengthen the woman who was being shaken.

“Don't be sad. Five years we can get through it. This time too, we can definitely.” Grab Shanuella's hand and kiss the woman's back.

It was like to kiss Shanuella's thin lips, but the courage was just a wishful thinking. Sometimes, awkwardness still looms. After all, their story started from employers and subordinates.

Their relationship journey to get to this point cannot be said to be easy. From nobody, to being able to share and be this close. It takes time and a long struggle. Marriage does not happen because of love. How difficult Shanuella opened up to accept a mature man who almost never known him while still being a guardian of Daddy's trust.

“I'm fine. Must be okay ‘kan, Mas?”

“Definitely. Who would dare hurt my wife and child.”
