Sunlight that enters the room through the window gap does not make Anggita wake up. Crying all night thinking about the fate of her marriage made Anggita fall asleep after a late night. Anggita is still at home in his sleep who is dreaming.
In the dream, Anggita was enjoying the beauty of nature with some small children. Anggita and the child hold hands together to form a circle in a park. From their mouths came the sound of a beautiful song. When they were about to finish the song one of the little boys took his hand off Anggita's hand and ran away from Anggita and the others.
Anggita releases his hand from the child who holds his left hand. Anggita ran chasing and yelled asking the boy to stop. I felt tired and eventually fell.
That's when Anggita woke up. He was surprised to see the day was bright.
"Stupid. Stupid," Anggita muttered while hitting her head.
Anggita realized if he woke up late like this made him feel negligent in carrying out obligations as a wife. Last night she refused a divorce. But this morning he showed his negligence.
Anggita walks out of the room quickly to make sure that her husband has left for the office. He raised the stairs towards their room ignoring the nausea from his mouth.
He took a deep breath when he saw in the room that there was no longer a creature that he called a husband. With lethargy, Anggita returned down the stairs. He headed to the dining room to take warm water as a first aid to overcome the nausea that was becoming so.
"Basazy crybaby."
Anggita almost dropped the glass in her hand to hear the mocking sound. He floated his gaze towards the voice and sure enough at the end of the meal Evan was casually stuffing a piece of bread into his mouth. Too focused with her goal to take warm water makes Anggita not aware of her husband's presence at the dining table.
Anggita was unable to cover the shock on her face. Usually this hour her husband is already in the office. But today is like a holiday. The handsome man looked very relaxed even though he was wearing a work suit. Bad thoughts haunt Anggita. She is afraid that, Evan again told her to sign the divorce papers.
"Don't show me that face in front of me. Even if you cry seven days and seven nights. Like I said last night, after grandfather's funeral it's over."
Anggita felt her swollen eyes. Her husband's words again hurt her heart deeply.
"I understand mas. On Sunday, grandfather told us to go to his house" Anggita said after struggling to hide the nausea. As her husband said, Grandpa. Reminds me of my grandfather's request.
"Go it yourself."
"Do I have to say the same reason if grandfather asks why you didn't come?.
"Whatever."
I guess we take a long breath. I don't know until when Evan continues to be hostile to his grandfather. Since they got married. Evan was never again willing to meet Martin's grandfather.
"I beg you mas. Meet Martin's grandfather. He's your real grandfather. And it's not too old anymore."
Anggita's voice weakened at the end of his sentence. He could not bear to say that last sentence let alone imagine grandfather Martin had died.
Anggita lowered her head looking at her husband's sharp gaze. He said it was to bring Evan to life but it was like a grave mistake that would be punished.
"Don't interfere too much with me."
The words were full of emphasis with a face that was flushed red with anger. Through the tail of his eyes. Anggita can see Evan getting up from his seat but then stomping the bench violently.
The man passed from the living room without saying goodbye as husband and wife in general. But that is already a common thing for the self Anggita.
After Evan left the house. Anggita is also ready to go to his cafe.
"Gita, what's going on. You got a problem?" asked Nia Anggita's best friend who became her confidant in the cafe. Anyone can see Anggita's eyes are swollen even though it has been polished.
"Do I look like someone in trouble?" ask Aggita back with a smiling face. A smile that covered his heart.
"But unfortunately you are wrong friend. Cloudy does not always bring rain."
"Don't lie Gita. You must have cried all night so your eyes were swollen right?.
"No. My eyes are swollen from mostly watching videos on my phone."
"Your mouth can lie to Gita but not to your eyes. If you need a friend to confide. I've always been there for you" Nia said at last. He could see the sadness of his best friend. But Nia did not want to force Anggita to tell a story.
"Thank you Nia. I went into the room first" Anggita said with a still-imposed smile.
"Go to your private room. If you were sleep deprived last night. You better rest. About the cafe you don't have to worry."
Anggita just patted his best friend's arm. Actually, he was overwhelmed by the attention of his best friend. But to eliminate the sadness, Anggita thinks he must be busy with work.
One daily Anggita really focuses his attention on the matter of service and the quality of his cafe. But in the afternoon after work hours ended, Anggita actually thought to just stay at the cafe. Remembering her husband's name alone made her heart ache let alone look at his face. That's why Anggita is to temporarily shy away from Evan.
But what was on his mind was not in line with reality. When Anggita came out of the cafe to shop at the supermarket, her husband's car suddenly stopped in front of her.
"Lake in." The voice of the cold man sounded after the car glass opened.
"Did you pick me up on purpose?" ask Anggita happy. The pain inflicted by Evan during that time was forgotten by the existence of Evan who picked her up for the first time after they got married.
"Open the door and enter." Evan said with a straight look but not to Anggita.
With a radiant face, Anggita opened the car door and entered. He forgot his intention of staying at the cafe.
"Thank you" said Anggita happily after sitting in the car.
"Don't be happy just yet. I just happened to pass by. I was just thinking. Someone else was given a ride especially with the woman who threw her body on my bed."
"That low you judge me?. I'm your wife not a cheap woman."
Suppose you do not put on the seat belt that he already holds. His chest was very claustrophobic knowing that Evan judged himself to be that low. Not only back hurt, Anggita also felt embarrassed because it was too happy.
Evan did not answer what Anggita said. The man just laughed cynically.
"Sorry mas, I didn't come to your car Actually I was planning to stay at the cafe because there is a job that I'm not ready to do. Please permit me."
"Get out."
"Please let you."
"Stay as long as you want. If necessary don't have to go back home."
Evan again stuck a knife in Anggita's heart. The person who was also provoked by emotion finally opened the door and closed it violently.
After the car door is closed. The car was moving fast. Even Anggita can see the car crucifying several other vehicles.
"If that's your wish. Then just look. I will not drop my pride again to defend this household," Anggita said softly with a clenched hand. His heartache was mixed with anger. As if her tears had run out, Anggita's eyes turned red with anger.
