"Okay, I'll take care of you. I'll make you lunch. Just rest up."
Giving up will make matters easier and overcome problems. That's what's on Anggita's mind right now. Although her husband's words were very clearly painful but Anggita tried to reduce her irritation. If it is remembered whose treatment is painful then the word ungodly should be addressed to Evan. But the man felt completely innocent. Aggita was not in this house when he was sick not because of neglect of responsibility but because of his attitude.
"Make me rib soup."
"Well, mas" Anggita replied as he walked towards the door.
"Wait, I want the ribs that aren't too fat."
"Okay," replied Anggita again. He continued his steps towards the kitchen. Anggita hopes the ingredients to make rib soup available in the refrigerator.
"Search what non?" ani's aunt asked Anggita to stop her hand looking for materials in the refrigerator.
"Find the ingredients to make aunty rib soup," Anggita replied as she continued to search for the material until all the ingredients were available in her hands.
"Iiga soup?. Angita.
"For whom is non?.
"For Evan. He asked me to cook rib soup."
"So I've also made rib soup for non masters. But let alone be eaten, not even tasted," said aunt Ani confused. Before the arrival of Anggita. He had already served his master's request for rib soup.
Just like Ani's aunt, Anggita was also confused. Why he was told to make rib soup if it was not eaten. I hesitated to cook. He was afraid if Evan's request was only to find a gap in his mistakes.
"Auntie, I hesitate to cook. If auntie's cooking doesn't make Evan's mas let alone my cooking."
"Business only non. It would be wrong again if non did not cook the request of master," suggested aunt Ani. He became a living witness of how the household of his master.
"Alright aunt, Evan was asking for a rib that is not too thick fat."
"Ooo so. That I cooked is pretty fatty non."
"Was not going to Evan Bibi. Maybe he forgot to remind auntie about that fat aunt."
Aunt Ani just nodded. Evan asked himself the same thing. But so that Anggita eager to cook. Aunt Ani had to lie.
"Non need help?.
"No need for aunt. Rest in the room. If it was just the business of making this soup. Aunty's easy business," Anggita said as she pushed Ani's aunt out of the kitchen. The aunt only chuckled then according to what Anggita said.
After Auntie came out of the kitchen. Aggita now tries hard to fight the nausea that churns from his stomach. Even though the day is approaching noon kissing the spice it turns out it still provokes his stomach to remove all of his stomach contents.
Suppose you really spit out his stomach. But he didn't lose his mind. For the sake of making soup request her husband, Anggita wearing a double mask so as not to smell the seasoning.
Anggita climbed the stairs and hoped that her homemade rib soup would suit her husband's taste. After her foot stepped on the top step she heard the voice of her mother Anita-in-law from the room where Evan was. The focus of cooking rib soup her husband's request made Anggita unaware of the arrival of her mother-in-law.
Anggita immediately felt lazy to meet his mother-in-law. Meeting Anita's mother will add to the wound in her heart. Since the beginning of the marriage, Mama Anita has clearly shown dislike towards her and even accused Anggita of being a treasure enthusiast.
Anggita was about to turn down the stairs but the voice of someone who also came from Evan's room made Anggita curious. He approached Evan's room and could see the two women in the room. Anggita snuggled himself against the wall to hear the three women's talk.
"Ma, you better not rush. Just patience. That time will come" said Evan.
"Hunting how. Shouldn't have been your marriage to Adelia one year ago. But since your grandfather betrothed you to a treasure-mad woman it ended up being this way."
"Yes that's right. But me and that woman are not divorced."
"But they will divorce. There is no harm if you re-start a relationship with Adelia. He's been patient for a year waiting for you."
"Mama knows for herself how I am. I can't be in a relationship with two women at once. Same when I decided to marry that woman. I first cut off my relationship with Adel. So is it now. If I start a relationship with Adel. Then wait for my relationship with him to be over."
"You and Adel love each other. You were separated because of that woman. Adel has calmed down abroad for a year because he can't see you with her. So what's wrong with you getting engaged before your divorce knocking on the hammer."
"Can't ma. Let our relationship be done first. Grandpa's age is soon too. The woman will also sign the divorce papers if grandfather is gone."
"That's just her excuse. Look, he will definitely use this short grandfather's time to scoop up grandfather's treasure. If it is not a treasure let alone the motive is willing to marry a person who is not his lover," said Anita's mother annoyed.
"Aunty. It's okay what. I must be patient waiting for Evan's widow" said Adelia who had been silent to hear Evan and his mother's debate.
"Look at Adelia, Evan. He always put his ego aside. He was willing to give up for grandfather's health. You should have tied Adel to the engagement. We can hide it from grandfather, "persuade mama Anita again. Evan shook his head weakly.
"Mama, I'm listening to my request. Please don't force me to comply with all of your wishes. I'm an adult and can decide what's best for me. Adel alone does not mind waiting for the urgent mama," said Evan was getting upset.
"That's because I want to carry Evan's granddaughter out of the daughter-in-law I want."
"Tante, so what if that woman is pregnant again?" adel asked, he was beginning to worry. Hearing the grandchild, his brain immediately thought about the relationship between Evan and Anggita.
"There's no way she's pregnant. Evan must not have touched her. Besides, if the treasure-mad woman is pregnant. Simplest. Your son is foster. You're okay with having a stepdaughter, right?"
"It's okay Auntie."
Evan suddenly coughed at the words of his mother. So too with Anggita. He held his chest which felt tight to hear the conversation especially the words of his mother-in-law. She did not expect that Anita's mother could think that easily about a child. I guess we still feel lucky. Her pregnancy is still unknown to her husband's family.
"Look, that woman is really crazy treasure. Her husband is sick instead of being by her husband's side and taking care of her" Anita's mother said.
"He's in the kitchen ma. Making soup my request," Evan replied making Anita's mother speechless.
