Because I Don't Want to Lose
19 - Birthday

Anaya's curiosity towards Sasika encourages her to find out about her figure. He tried to take Izzar's social media. But it turns out Izzar did not indulge his personal life in online networks. He only has one Instagram account that only displays photos and videos of his work. There is hardly a digital trace of itself.

Anaya asks Randi, but she is embarrassed. Because, Randi will definitely suck it up. Finally, Anaya decided not to care about Sasika. After all, the woman was in the past Izzar, and also not his business, because Izzar was not his even though he was her husband.

Naira's birthday is in a week.

While picking up Naira on Sunday morning, Ridwan expressed his desire to celebrate his daughter's birthday in a big way at the hotel. Anaya is the opposite. He wanted to simply commemorate the birthday of Naira. Finally, as usual, the two argue and fight again.

“Why the hell, you always defy me?” ask Ridwan. He did not lower his voice at all. They talked in front of the fence while waiting for Naira to finish breakfast.

Izzar asks them to come in, but Ridwan refuses.

“You have prepared hotels, events, souvenirs, invitations and more?” ask Anaya.

“You have a company that takes care of it all? Other people's event period you take care of, your son's birthday you don't care?” Ridwan even throws the question to Anaya.

Anaya's eyes widened, staring in disbelief at Ridwan. This guy never turns out to change. Still, he tried to manipulate and use the woman who had become his ex-wife. Anaya became more determined not to be invited again.

“Sorry, Wan. Not that I don't care. But, this year I have planned to invite Naira to celebrate her birthday by sharing in Orphanage, so that she has empathy with other children who are not as lucky as her. Coincidentally, my men are also full of all their schedules. So, if you want to create an event at the hotel, please take care of yourself.” Anaya tried to dodge with courtesy.

"Naira's birthday happens to be Sunday. Stay on your schedule with him. I will make an event at the orphanage on Saturday only, so as not to disturb your show,” continued Anaya.

Ridwan closed his mouth. Jaw hardens. It was obvious that he was holding back the growl of hearing Anaya's words. It was like he was at a loss for words.

Anaya was satisfied in her heart because she managed to silence Ridwan. Although actually the birthday plan at the orphanage is only a spontaneous reason alone. But, Anaya feels responsible for having to carry it out.

After the death of Ridwan who brought Naira, Anaya told the debate to Izzar. The man laughed while shaking his head.

“You two are, equally stubborn. No one wants to budge,” Izzar said between his breakfast feeds.

Anaya smiled. He did not want to budge because he was reluctant to be underestimated and used by Ridwan.

“Terus, which orphanage are you going to?” ask Izzar.

“I don't know yet. You have a record where?”

“Hmm.. Try me asking Maharani.” Izzar took his phone.

“Who is he?”

“My new employee. You met her at my office the other day. While in college he loved teaching pre-school children in the orphanage.”

Izzar made a call on his phone. Anaya observed. He remembered the woman Izzar meant. The beautiful young girl who was rather shy and clumsy with the presence of Anaya.

“... Okay! … You just come here, Ran! … Yes!” Izzar turned off his phone. “He'll be here soon. You chat directly with him.”

“A minute? Where is his home?” Anaya.

“At the end of this road. He's Bu Lilis's son,” replied Izzar.

Izzar's reply left Anaya stunned. He felt like he had seen that girl. It turns out they were on a neighborhood.

Anaya nodded. He remembered who Miss Lilis was. Still imagined in his mind, how the expression on the face of the woman who was disappointed suddenly knew Anaya was the wife of Izzar. Yet at the same time he was eager to match his daughter with Izzar.

And, now, Anaya only found out that the Empress, Bu Lilis' daughter, was working with Izzar.

“Kok can he work at your place?” Anaya curious.

“The mother asked me to help her find her son a job. Coincidentally right I need an employee for the administration, yes I have offered. But, he is indeed smart, a graduate of public university economics,” said Izzar.

“Why don't you take Sheilla, your niece? Doesn't he want to work while in college?”

Izzar. “You know for yourself his mother how.”

Anaya then fell silent. He realized that he had no right to interfere in the affairs of Izzar's work and life. However, he could not avoid the restless spark that stealing was present in his heart.

Anaya's birthday event at the orphanage went well thanks to the Maharani's help. After knowing Anaya, the girl was no longer clumsy to face him.

Naira was delighted with her birthday. Although Naira does look different from her appearance with all the advantages, but she does not care to play with these simple children. The delicate-hearted little girl even asked Anaya to drive her to the parlour again later, in order to give her toys she had not used to share with her new friends.

“Bby, Ma?” ask Naira.

“Bby!”

“Mama can also buy them clothes?... You see, there is a shirt torn, Ma,” whispered Naira.

“Can. We will buy it later. Or your clothes that have not been used can also be donated here.”

Naira was happy. Of course it pleases Anaya, the goal of cultivating Naira's sympathy and empathy seems to work. He really wanted Naira to become a human being who cared about others.

Later that night, Anaya realizes that Izzar's birthday is different every day with Naira. Really he feels stupid because he did not pay attention to the data Izzar used to take care of the administration of his marriage. Maybe because he had not known and was close to Izzar. After all, the man also seemed to be not thinking about his birthday. He was busy helping out with Naira's show.

However, Anaya wanted to remind him. Early in the morning, before Ridwan picked up Naira, he invited his son to give a surprise congratulation to Izzar, even if only with a piece of doughnut in the refrigerator and given a candle.

“Happy birthday!” exclaim Anaya and Naira compact, when Izzar opened the door of his room that was knocked Anaya.

“Wow! Thank you!” Izzar was surprised to be pleased with the surprise of the two women he was responsible for in such an unusual way. Although he did not like the birthday celebration, he also enjoyed the attention of both.

While the three were joking and rejoicing, there was a courier in a famous cake shop uniform delivering a large cardboard box. Anaya who received it instantly could guess the contents were birthday cakes.

“Delivery for Mr. Izzar, Bu,”

“From whom?”

The courier saw the paper in his hand. “From Sasika.”

Anaya. Why would she send you a cake on her ex-fiance's birthday?
