Because I Don't Want to Lose

Because I Don't Want to Lose
46 - Shut Up And Go

Tears that bathed his cheeks made Anaya's vision blurred.  Lucky he still reasonable to pull over in the parking lot of a shop. Open the window wide, hoping the outside air clear his mind. The scene that left him gripped, panicked and fleeing earlier was still lingering in his mind.

He cursed himself who had felt trapped, deceived, fooled. He hit the steering wheel many times. Wreak all his frustration. His phone again sounded a call from Izzar. He picked up the cell phone lying in the chair next to him. He watched for a while. Then the man's number was blocked.

Then he called Sandra, asking to pick her up. He can't drive anymore. His head was dizzy and his stomach was nauseous. He remembered that his stomach was filled with warm chocolate and bread while waiting for Naira to go to school this morning.

After giving his location, Anaya sat back waiting. Sandra came an hour later. It's dark. His best friend chose to take an ojek through the traffic jam so that he could meet him as soon as possible.

“Why are you, Nay?” Sandra opened the car door and held Anaya's forehead.

Anaya did not answer. He moved his seat and closed his eyes. Sandra sighed.  Seeing the look on Anaya's face, he did not want to ask again. He understood that if Anaya was at the peak of his emotions, it was better to leave it alone. If he can make peace with himself, he will tell his own story.

Sandra sat behind the wheel and started the engine.

“Where are we, Nay?”

Anaya quiet.

“To home Izzar?”

Anaya.

“To your house?”

Anaya nodded back. His bed order has not yet arrived. He could have slept on the couch tonight, but he was too tired. Besides, Izzar's gonna be looking for her there later.

“OK! We'll just go to my place.” Sandra decided.

There was no rebuttal from Anaya. The car drove in silence.

Arriving at Sandra's apartment, Anaya immediately sat hugging her knees on the sofa.

“You've eaten?” Sandra opened the fridge.

“But.”

Sandra picked up two inexhaustible slices of pizza yesterday, heating them in the microwave, while she made a warm sweet tea. Then put it on the table in front of Anaya.

Anaya finished a slice of pizza and drank her warm tea in a few sips. Then he sat back down.

“Naira where?” Sandra sat next to Anaya.

“At his grandfather's place.” Anaya answered softly.

Sandra's phone she put in the pantry rang. He moved to take it.

“Don't tell Izzar I'm here!” anaya's voice was sharp.

“Not from him, kok!”  Sandra replied to the ringing with a message to call back.

Either Anaya realizes or not that she has been lying. The call ring just now was actually from Izzar.

“I want to sleep.”

“You in my room?”

Sandra's apartment is two-bedroom. One smaller is indeed intended for relatives or friends who come to stay overnight. But, usually if Anaya stays over, he will sleep in the room with her. Because often they do not sleep, but instead talk until the morning.

“I want to sleep alone,” Anaya replied.

Sandra opened and lit the guest room.

“In the closet it looks like there are some of your clothes left here.”

Anaya wasn't listening. He immediately laid his body on the bed, turning his back to the door. Sandra was so sorry to see it. Really he can not stand if he saw his best friend has been silent to keep his own problems like this.

“Nay! I'll go downstairs first yes, grab the laundry at laundry.”

“Ya.”  Anaya's voice was slow.

Sandra took her phone and wallet and walked out. Actually to the laundry is only the reason. Arriving at the lobby, he immediately called Izzar.

“Hei! Anaya same you?” Izzar's voice sounded anxious.

“Can I pick up?”

“Do not first. Let him calm down first.”

“If so, can I talk to him? He didn't answer my phone. And it looks like the phone is dead. Or my number blocked.”

Sandra held back her smile.

“He just slept. Don't worry. Anaya is safe with me.”

Izzar.

“You why? Any problems?”

Audible ******* Izzar's breath over there.

“She saw I was with my ex-fiancee in my office.”

“What is Sasika doing to your office?” Sandra wanted to know.

“Where do you know his name?... Oh yes, he was once your client yes.” Izzar was no wonder. After all, Anaya must have told Sandra all of Sasika's behavior.

“Ngapain he found you?” Sandra repeated her question.

 A moment of silence.

“Business problem.”

“Yakin?” Sandra didn't believe it right away. He knew Anaya was jealous. But, if his best friend was silent, he suspected there was something bigger that ignited his anger.

“Indeed there is something else. But I'm not sure that's the cause. And I can only discuss with Anaya directly,” replied Izzar.

Replace the silent Sandra. He knew there were limits he could not cross. However, Anaya and Izzar have household privacy that he cannot afford to share without their permission.

“Yes already, tonight let him here. You are calm.”

“How can I calm down if he doesn't want to talk to me,” said Izzar. He remembered the words of Randi long ago about the highest level of Anaya's anger. Shut up and go.

“Tomorrow I persuaded him to call you.”

“Tell him, tomorrow I'll pick you up!” sela Izzar firmly.

Sandra gaped with the hardness of Izzar's heart. Did you know that Anaya could be many times harder than her determination?

After saying his greetings, Sandra ended her call.

Across from there, at Anaya's house, Izzar sat holding his forehead. There's no point in waiting for Anaya here. Lock the door and go home.

On the way, he again upset to remember Sasika who recklessly came to his office suddenly with a made-up reason. He did not know where the woman knew about the granting of most of Mr. Arsyad's company shares to him so suddenly. Though rumors have circulated that the shares will be sold.

He himself never expected it. Nor does it have the power to refuse. There is a threat that must be sacrificed if it is not accepted. And he didn't want to sacrifice that.

Izzar held a dizzy in his head. How troublesome it really is to deal with Mr. Arsyad. The powerful man had once been very suspicious of him. Then changed to believe him about his decision to change the will about the management of Naira's property so that Ridwan lost his motivation to take Naira.

Mr. Arsyad also forced her to maintain her marriage to Anaya on the promise of delivering a major property development project, which then upset her competitors for being considered the result of nepotism.

And now, as people wait for the offer to sell the shares of his company, suddenly Mr. Arsyad gave it to him, causing the anger of his children. Especially Ridwan.

Izzar analyzed, Ridwan had conveyed it to Anaya before he himself had time to tell her. Anaya suddenly went to his office. And, unfortunately there is Sasika who claimed to be sent his aunt who originally targeted the sale of the stock, to congratulate the ownership of most of the company Anaya's former in-laws.

They all don't know, there's a big deal in all of that. What he wanted to tell Anaya. However, it is strictly forbidden for Mr. Arsyad to keep it secret until the right time arrives.

The right time never existed. Because it turns out the secret has been leaked everywhere. And as a result, his relationship with Anaya became this chaotic. Izzar knows, Anaya hates secrets. Especially if he keeps it.

Arriving home, Izzar tries to contact Anaya again. All his calls remain rejected.

I can't wait for morning.
