New Evidence

Why is Devan looking at me like that... Devan...? kanaya's mind was glaring. His chest was pounding. He felt in the wind but... Devan's eyes? Does Devan feel what he feels? Think Kanaya again.

Devan grabs Kanaya's hands and then kisses her.

"Since long ago, I've always loved you, Ay? I can never forget you one bit" Devan told Kanaya.

Kanaya's eyes welled up, and as she bit her lower lip, she seemed to be in the dreamland hearing Devan's declaration of love for her, that Devan had loved her all along.

"De's.. Devan loves me.." Inner Kanaya.

"I really hope that after all this is over, you can love me, Ay" Devan said .

"I want to make you happy, live with you and our children later," Devan said with a smile.

' I want to, Van. I want it too. But, is that possible?' kanaya's inner self shed her tears.

"VAN.. I. I. not like the old days," said Kanaya with his head down. Realizing her already stained self and her body was no longer perfect.

"For me, you're still like you used to be, Ay." Devan said as he brought his face closer to Kanaya's face and wiped away her tears.

"I know what you've been through all this time, Ay" Devan said as he looked into Kanaya's eyes, as if talking to each other through the eyes of each other.

"But for me, you are still the Kanaya I know and my love for you has never changed one bit" Devan said unblinkingly, looking into Kanaya's eyeballs.

"Devan." said Kanaya, shaking while hugging Devan and wrapping her arms around Devan's neck.

"I love you, Ay." whispered Devan in Kanaya's ear, making Kanaya clench Devan. Without him he could not say words except to mention Devan's name in his heart.

That evening was so touching for Kanaya and Devan, knowing that they both had a pent-up taste for each other.

They joined hands and glanced occasionally at each other while smiling a shy smile like two people who were in love, on their way back to the car.

Devan does not want to let go of his grasp even when he drives he often holds Kanaya's hand.

By the time they got home, it was already evening and the porch lights were on.

Devan parked his car on the porch, but he did not turn off the engine.

Kanaya opens the car door about to get out, but is prevented by Devan.

"Well, there's something I want to talk to you about" Devan said seriously.

Kanaya looked at Devan in surprise, but on the back of the car door that had been half open saar saw the serious face of Devan.

"What's up, Van?" kanaya asked while watching Devan.

As Kanaya's lawyer, Devan must convey this and ask her Kanaya's willingness.

"I'm getting evidence - new evidence to kill Elvano?" devan

"What evidence?" kanaya asked as she looked at Devan curiously.

"Doctor Adam, he wants to testify for us" Devan replied.

"Oh yeah? But how is it possible? Did he suddenly change his mind, Van?" kanaya asked in surprise while mixed in wonder.

"It seems so," said Devan did not want to discuss further Gilang's involvement in this matter.

"Oh my God, thank you!" Kanaya said thankfully as she raised her hand making Devan smile looking at her.

"I also got some new evidence, related to what he did to you, " Devan added.

"New evidence moreover, Van?" tanaya Kanaya is curious.

"In addition to the medical report given by Doctor Adam, I also got CCTV footage of the incident at Elvano's house" Devan said slowly.

Kanaya jerks. He held his breath and his memory returned to the terrible events that had happened to him in the house.

"To... which incident?" kanaya asked nervously.

"Everything" Devan said as he looked into Kanaya's eyes. Devan sees the pain there, especially Devan has watched the recording a lot, he can feel how Kanaya feels today.

Kanaya turned her head in the other direction, and closing her eyes, she began to recall the violent events of Elvano to her.

"Come....." Devan clasped Kanaya's hand, then grabbed Kanaya's face and faced her towards him.

"I know, what did he do to you? And I can't help but stay still, Ay." said Devan, a slight tinge of emotion that he was trying to endure. Because of his anger at Elvano.

"Let me avenge what he did to you, I will make him pay for all your suffering, Ay." Devan said as he looked at Kanaya's two beads.

"How are you going to repay him, Van?" kanaya asked, looking back into Devan's eyes.

"All the evidence is enough to charge Elvano with his mistreatment of you and put him in prison" Devan said.

'Put Elvano's sister in jail?' inner Kanaya.

"I can't just make him free after what he did to you. He almost killed you, Ay!" Devan said with emotion. Apparently Devan was carried away with emotion, when he remembered the CCTV footage he saw earlier this afternoon.

Devan sighed in trying to control his emotions, then looked back at Kanaya's two eyeballs with affection.

"You don't deserve to be treated like that, no woman deserves to be treated like that" Devan said.

Kanaya is back. The pain he felt increasingly felt and the bad treatment Elvano was still fresh in his memory.
