Devan couldn't sleep that night. He was awakened several times by Kanaya's screams because his nightmares came back. And every time he calms Kanaya back down. Devan does not know what makes Kanaya have nightmares, but he guesses it is related to Elvano. He wanted to ask Kanaya the next morning about her nightmare.

That day Devan didn't work. He intends to visit Alexander David Mahendra to thank him for his help. He wants to talk to Kanaya about what really happened, so Kanaya always gets nightmares. After waking up from a nightmare in the morning Kanaya does not want to sleep anymore. Devan went back to his room to take a shower. And when she had finished her bath, her mother had been waiting in her room.

"Mother why is Mommy here?" devan asked in surprise with a smile, thinking his mother still thought of him as a child.

"What about Kanaya, Devan?" ask Mommy wants to know how Kanaya was last night.

'Ooh Mommy wants to ask Kanaya' Bantin Devan.

Devan breathed a heavy sigh.

"Either Bun, Kanaya always woke up because of her dreams" Devan replied looking sad.

Mother sighing.

"Mother already knows what caused Kanaya that way. Very sorry Kanaya," said Mother.

"Mother knows? Mommy knows where?" devan asked enthusiastically while sitting on the bed next to his mother.

"Last night, Mommy asked Bella and Bella who told Mommy what happened to Kanaya actually," said Mommy with a worried face.

"Devan, you have to help Kanaya. Don't let her go back to her husband. Mother did not expect Elvano to treat Kanaya so cruelly." said Mother while shedding tears.

"Bun, don't confuse Devan. What has Elvano done to Kanaya?" tanya Devan urges her mother to tell her story.

Devan had already suspected Elvano of having committed violence against Kanaya, however, he is not sure what Elvano has done to Kanaya and there is no evidence to prove that Elvano has committed violence against Kanaya. He's just gonna talk to Kanaya this morning.

Mother sighed, not knowing where to start telling stories from.

Seeing the mimic of Mother's face, Devan became more worried.

"Devan, according to what Bella told me," said Mommy as she held Devan's hand and looked at her son's worried eyeball.

Mother also began to tell what she knew from Bella. And Devan's face turned red when Mother finished telling him what she knew.

"Bad you are Elvano! I'm gonna put you in jail!" Shouted Devan furiously.

Devan immediately came out of his room and found Kanaya walking out of his room and had changed clothes after bathing.

His face looks fresher. Even though dark circles still loom under his eyes. He smiled at Devan when he saw Devan coming out of the room.

Seeing that, Devan's heart softened and immediately approached Kanaya.

"Well can I talk to you, please,?" devan asked while looking at Kanaya affectionately.

"What's up, Van? What... Did something happen?" kanaya asks, worried that Elvano will find them, and forces Devan to return them.

It was easy for Elvano, because he had money and could threaten anyone in D city.

Devan shook his head and sat Kanaya on the sofa, next to him.

"Ay, answer my question honestly," Devan said as he looked into Kanaya's eyes.

"Did Elvano treat you badly?" devan asked as he looked into Kanaya's eyes. Kanaya's eyes began to pool and she bowed.

"Did he ever hit you" Devan asked more specifically.

Kanaya did not answer and shed tears.

"Well, I can't help you if you don't tell me the truth. Is it true that you want to split from Elvano?" devan asked as he brought his face closer to Kanaya's face and looked into her eyes.

Kanaya nodded.

"Therefore you must tell me what happened. So I can defend you, Ay." Devan said

Kanaya hesitates to tell her what's natural. He felt ashamed.

"Did he whip you?" devan asked more specifically, asking his conjecture.

Kanaya is shocked to hear Devan's question. How did Devan know? Think Kanaya.

Kanaya looked uneasy. He bit his lower lip, agitated to tell Devan.

"You just have to answer Yes or No, Ay." said Devan.

Kanaya looked at Devan, and finally she nodded while shedding tears.

Devan was so angry to feel how much pain Kanaya felt, but he tried to reduce it. He still had to ask Kanaya one more thing.

That night's events. The day after Kanaya met her lunch.

Devan held Kanaya's hand again.

"Well, the night before you left Elvano, what happened?" ask Devan.

Kanaya's face instantly turned pale and panicked. He stood up and walked a few steps away from Devan and he looked nervous.

'I can't possibly tell Devan that. I'm shy. What will Devan think of me? I'm a tarnished and useless woman!' inner Kanaya, feeling herself dirty and disgusting.
