"Devan, thank you" said Kanaya, hugging her husband tightly and Devan replying to him as she kissed Kanaya's head.

Devan sat in his car, holding a photo of Elvano. The photo he got from Vito, one of his acquaintances who he asked to investigate the current state of Elvano.

Devan does deliberately investigate Elvano, because he is unlikely to let his son and wife meet a man who just came out of prison, even though he knows the man is Elvano, who is the only one who has ever been killed, his wife's ex-husband and Alvaro's father.

He must be sure that Elvano will not do anything that could harm his family.
