Kanaya's Pain

Devan was getting ready - ready to go to work that morning, he is excited to work every day knowing that he and Kanaya are the same - they have the same feelings and they are just one step away from being together. Devan plans to propose to Kanaya once his term is over.

He came out of his room, dressed neatly and carrying a suit and briefcase which he put on the living room chair before he walked into the dining room.

There was already Aunt Ratna and Mother who was drinking warm tea and waiting for her.

"Where is it, Auntie?" devan asked who did not see Kanaya sitting with them.

"Kanaya is still sleeping, she said a bit dizzy and her stomach is not good" Ratna explained.

"Can it hurt?" devan asked with a worried tone.

"It seems like a cold, had eaten bread and took medicine to catch a cold, it's easy - hopefully later better" replied Ratna.

"Can Devan see?" devan asked Ratna for permission.

Ratna nodded and smiled.

Devan walked towards Kanaya's room and knocked on her door. However, because there was no answer, he opened it.

"Ay.." he called her when he saw her as Kanaya was sleeping curled up under the blanket.

Kanaya did not answer. Devan walked over and left the door open.

"Darling, are you sick?" devan asked while sitting on the edge of the bed. She stroked Kanaya's hair covering Kanaya's face and moved it to the side.

Kanaya opened her eyes and saw Devan sitting next to her. He sat down facing Devan.

"I was just a little dizzy and nauseous, it seemed to catch a cold," Kanaya replied looking a little pale

"I'll take you to the doctor?" ask Devan. He was very worried to see Kanaya's pale face.

"No need for Van. I just need to rest Aja. It also has taken cold medicine. It will also heal itself" Kanaya replied with a smile she did not want Devan to worry about her.

"Ay, I'm so worried. Let me take you to the doctor, yes" Devan asked forcefully.

"No, Van. You have breakfast first, later you are late," Kanaya said trying to get Devan to go to work and not worry about him.

Devan looked at Kanaya to make sure she was okay.

"Yes, if anything - what phone yes," said Devan who was still worried.

"Yeah, there's Mama and Mommy. Don't worry, it will heal, too" Kanaya said with a smile and held Devan's hand.

Devan nodded and kissed Kanaya on the cheek, before she exited Kanaya's room and closed the door. He allows Kanaya to rest and hopes that she will be healthy soon.

"How's Kanaya, Van?" mother Alika asked, as Devan came out of Kanaya's room.

"Say you want to rest first, Bun." said Devan while sitting on the dining table chair.

"Yes, you ate first. Kan, there is Mother and Aunt Ratna who take care of Kanaya. Don't worry Devan" Alika said, patting her son's shoulder.

"Let's just catch a cold" Devan said, quickly eating his breakfast and peeking back at Kanaya, who was asleep in her room, before she left for the office.

Kanaya thought, if with enough rest and taking cold medicine, she felt better. But it turned out that even until 10 am, he still felt dizzy and nauseous, even vomiting several times.

Alika and Ratna looked at each other. They were worried about one thing as their fellow women both suspected something, yet they did not tell Kanaya. And they hope their suspicions are wrong.

"Ay, Mama take you to the doctor well," persuaded Ratna who was worried to see the state of her daughter who always vomited water since then to look very weak.

While persuading Kanaya, Devan calls his mother's phone.

Alika fell silent. Confused to explain it to Devan.

"Bune? Hello?" Devan looks at his phone screen and checks if his phone conversation is still connected. "No problem, the phone line is still connected" Devan thought.

"Bun?" Call Devan again, as he puts the file he was checking on the table.

"Yes Van" replied Alika.

"Where are you, Bun?" ask Devan again. I don't know why he felt something was wrong.

"Kanaya vomited constantly and Ratna's aunt was persuading him to go to the doctor" said Alika finally.

'Oh my God, may it not be what I think, ' inwardly Alika.

"Vomiting a lot, Bun?" devan asked as he got up from his seat and walked into his office. He signals Beni to come closer.

"Lumayan Van, but you don't have to worry later so that Mother and Aunt Ratna are brought to the doctor" said Alika did not want her child to worry about Kanaya's condition.

"Wait for Devan, Bun. Devan's coming home now" Devan said, turning off his phone.

"Beni, please check the file on my desk.I have to go home, Kanaya is sick," he told Beni.

"Good sir, hearts on the road." Beni replied before Devan got into his car and left at high speed.

Devan soon arrived at his house and ran straight to Kanaya's room. At the sight of Kanaya lying limp on her bed with a pale face and accompanied by her Mother and Aunt Ratna.

"Ay, I'll take you to the doctor, yes" Devan said as he lifted Kanaya's body and carried her into the car. Alika and Ratna also participated.

Arriving at the hospital Kanaya entered the IGD and was immediately examined by a doctor and Devan always accompanied him.

"What do you feel?" ask the doctor while checking Kanaya's blood pressure which turned out to be a little low.

"Dizziness Doc, and my stomach is nauseous," Kanaya said softly she still looked very weak.

"There's vomiting? Diarrhea?" ask the doctor again.

"If vomiting is yes, diarrhea is not, Doc" Kanaya replied.

Devan stroked Kanaya's forehead and kissed her hand, making the doctor who examined her smile.

"I will take a blood and urine sample to check" said the doctor.

"Why do you think, Doc?" devan asked in curiosity.

"I suspect something, but let's be sure, we'll see the results of the test first" the doctor said, smiling meaningfully, then he called the nurse to take a sample of Kanaya's blood and accompanied her to the toilet to take a urine sample.

Alika and Ratna looked at each other they looked very tense, but different from Devan. Devan was able to smile when Kanaya said she was not too nauseous anymore.

"Devan, can you talk to me for a second?" alika asked him if he wanted to tell her the possible cause of Kanaya's illness based on his experience, because he wanted Devan to know and be better prepared when the doctor said so.

"Yes, Bun," Devan replied as he moved.

"I go out first, baby, yeah" Devan said as he kissed Kanaya's hand and placed it on Kanaya's lap, just as the doctor came.

Devan also undoes his intention to come out with Alika. He thought to demote the doctor's speech first after that he just spoke with his mother.
