"Sir Devitaaaa! No!" Kanaya cried out in her sleep.
"Kanaya, wake up baby! Wake up!" call Ratna, Kanaya's mom. Who tried to wake Kanaya from her sleep.
Kanaya sat down with a sweaty forehead. Both of his eyes widened and his breath was puffing.
"Kanaya!" call Ratna, while hugging her daughter who has always had nightmares since the tragic events of the day. 6 Months ago on the playground.
"Honor Kanaya, please allow your brother's departure, he is at peace there" Ratna said with tears. Although he himself felt the weight of losing a daughter, but he did not want to lose one of his daughters again who is very loved.
Devita's tragic passing has caused a profound trauma to Kanaya. He always blamed himself for the incident. Although it is not easy to forget the events of that day. But, Kanaya will never forget that tragic events will always haunt her.
Kanaya let go of her mother's embrace and rubbed her sweat-soaked forehead.
"Well, what's okay, Ma?" kanaya said while forcing a sweet smile.
Then Kanaya glanced at the clock on the wall of her room and got out of bed.
"Kanaya is fine. Now Kanaya wants to be ready - ready for college first." he said, then rushed to the bathroom.
Ratna looked at her daughter's back and sighed softly. He exits Kanaya's room and lets her get ready - ready to go to college.
Inside the bathroom, Kanaya looked at her face, which looked uninspired in front of a mirror. He breathed heavily before washing his face with water.
faintly heard the sound of his cellphone ringing, and he immediately went out to the bathroom and took his mobile phone that he put on the table.
"Yes, Devan?" kanaya answered as she picked up a phone call from Devan.
Devan Permana was his best friend since childhood. Devan has lived next door to their home since he was 12. Although Devan is two years older than Kanaya, they are very suitable and familiar.
Devan has worked for a law firm. He graduated from law school two years ago and is continuing his Advocate education course, so that he can become a reliable lawyer like his ideals.
"Hello my beautiful Rabbit!" Call Devan to Kanaya.
Kanaya rolled her eyes lazily. It felt like he wanted to snap Devan's head every time he called her 'My Beautiful Rabbit'.
"What the hell is it, Van?! I'm gonna take a shower, nih!" kanaya said with an annoyed tone of voice.
"What?! You just got a shower? Didn't you see the teacher today?" devan asked in surprise, because it was already a bit of daylight.
"So, but it will be 10 more" Kanaya replied briefly.
"Yes, take a shower. I'll be there soon." said Devan.
"Yes, yes, yes" Kanaya said.
"But, Ay.." call Devan.
"Otherwise, Van?!" kanaya asked annoyedly.
"What color do you think I'm good at wearing, Ay? Blue or black?" devan asked for advice.
Kanaya opened her window and looked out at the neighbor's window across the room.
From the window of his room, Kanaya saw Devan was holding 2 t-shirts that one was blue and one shirt was black.
"Black" Kanaya replied directly then hung up her phone conversation and went into the bathroom.
Devan often does such things because their bedroom windows are facing each other allowing them to be able to see each other.
Actually Devan still wanted to talk but he clucked annoyed because he saw Kanaya had immediately cut off his phone connection. Then he immediately put on the black shirt that Kanaya had chosen, and began to comb his hair.
Yes, today Devan has promised to take Kanaya to his campus to meet with his script lecturer.
He wants Kanaya back to what she used to be, who is always excited and always smiling.
Devan doesn't have to knock if he enters the Kanaya family home. Because his family knew him well. He often visited there, to meet with Kanaya. Adi Wiguna's house was a second home for him, as was his home for Kanaya.
Devan only lived alone with his mother after his father died three years ago. And the presence of Kanaya who often plays to her house makes her mother close to Kanaya.
"Morning, Om and Auntie" Devan said to both Kanaya's parents with her sweet smile.
"Morning is also Devan. Kanaya is still on top, you go straight up to meet Kanaya." Kanaya's mother told him.
"Okay aunt, I go straight upstairs first." Devan replied as he walked half-run to Kanaya's room.
Ratna and Rayhan looked at each other to see Devan walking upstairs. They are grateful because there is Devan who always pay attention and take care of Kanaya, especially since the departure of Devita. Devan is the most active in giving spirit and helping him through the times of grief.
"Can.., Ay!" call Devan and knock on Kanaya's door.
"Start, Van! Don't go in yet!" Kanaya shouted from inside the room.
Kanaya was in a hurry to wear her clothes. Then open the door for Devan.
"Just a minute, Van." said Kanaya, leaving the door open and turning towards the dresser.
Devan went straight into Kanaya's room, and casually sat on Kanaya's bed.
"Ay..., Kira - do you think you can graduate next month?" tanya Devan arrived - arriving while watching Kanaya who was polishing thin makeup on her face.
"Yes, easy - easy. Why is Van?" ask kanaya. And scrunched his forehead while looking at Devan from the mirror reflection in front of him.
Devan settles down on Kanaya's bed.
"Nothing. I'm also going to pass my Advocates course next month" Devan said.
"Oh, Yes. Good of it, Van!" kanaya said with a big smile at Devan.
Kanaya also feels happy because Devan can pass her Advocate Course. That means Devan will also go one step further to become a lawyer like Cita - he said all along.
"Yes, and I'd like to apply to work for the Asegaf Star (US) Advocate's office. My friend said in the U. S. they're recruiting new advocates" Devan said. He looked towards Kanaya.
"You mean the famous Asegaf Star?" Ask Kanaya. While frowning his forehead.
Devan then sat down and nodded.
" But, isn't the Advocate's office in downtown B?" ask Kanaya again.
"Yes, Ay." Devan replied briefly.
"Then, you'll move, Van?" kanaya asked as she turned her body towards Devan, and looked a little sad.
"Not necessarily, Ay. Kan, I just wanted to apply for a job there. And I'm not necessarily welcome either, am I?" devan said with an awkward smile.
"Come, we're leaving, Ay.!" Take Devan and get out of bed and walk out of Kanaya's room. He did not want to discuss first about the possibility he would move from the city of D, their city now.
Kanaya follows Devan and walks behind him. He was still thinking about what Devan had said.
Will Devan really move to town B and leave Kanaya.?
Looking forward to their next story, yes...!
