Meet Elvano

After taking a deep breath and calming himself down, Kanaya picked up a phone call from Devan.

"Hello, Van!" Sapa Kanaya as usual.

"Hello, Ay! How are you doing good today? Are you having fun there?" tanya Devan bertubi - tubes"

"And how's the handsome Alvaro doing? Does he miss me?" devan asked again not giving any chance for Kanaya to answer.

Kanaya smiled at Devan's many questions.

"Yes?" kanaya replied while blushing.

"Darling, I'm asking you a lot of questions and your answer is just one word?" devan protests.

"Everything else I have to answer other than, yes?" kanaya said while chuckling.

"Are you going to answer all my questions with the answer, yes." asked Devan.

"Maybe, depends on what the question is?" answer Kanaya.

"Do you miss me?" ask Devan.

Kanaya smiled at Devan's question.

"Yes, I miss you," Kanaya replied with a smile. It had been three days that Kanaya had never met Devan, because Kanaya had gone to D city when Devan was working to G city.

" I miss you too, Ay." Devan replied.

"Is Alvaro okay? Tell him I miss him" asked Devan.

"Yes, he is active as always he misses you, too" Kanaya replied.

"Have you gone home?" kanaya asked, considering Devan had gone three days away with Monika.

"I just arrived. You're going home tomorrow? Let me pick you up, will you? I can't wait to see you guys" Devan said.

"Yes, it looks like I'm coming home tomorrow" Kanaya said but she hesitated if she would win Elvano or not.

Kanaya recalls what Lisa said about Elvano.

"Well, what's wrong? You okay?" asked Devan who called Kanaya name several times but it seems like Kanaya did not respond.

"Yes, yeah Van. I'm fine" Kanaya said immediately and erased her thoughts on Elvano.

"You sure?" asked Devan who was watching Kanaya like more daydreaming while talking to her.

'Should I tell Devan this?' inner Kanaya.

"Well, what are you thinking?" devan asked with intonation that led Kanaya to tell him.

Kanaya was silent for a while and Devan was still waiting for Kanaya to tell her a story. It was clear to Devan that something was interfering with Kanaya's mind.

"I met Lisa this afternoon" Kanaya finally told me.

"Lisa... Elvano's sister?" devan asked them to make sure they were talking about the same person.

"Yes, his sister Elvano" replied Kanaya.

The sound of Devan taking a deep breath.

"Then what happened?" devan asked, his voice still calm, signalling that he would still listen.

"We talked and.." Kanaya paused for a moment looking for the right words.

"I can't cover up about Alvaro... I mean.... It's obvious isn't it?" kanaya laughed at the appearance of herself that did not cover up her pregnancy.

"You're afraid they'll take Alvaro from you?" tanya Devan guesses Kanaya's nervousness.

Kanaya was stunned, it was actually not what Kanaya had in mind, even though it was possible.

"No, Van. I mean that's not what I'm afraid of right now." replied Kanaya.

He felt restless and moved from his seat on the hotel bed.

Devan was non-commentary and chose to listen further.

"I just found out that right now, Brother Elvano is in prison. And Lisa.. she asked me to meet her," Kanaya said with a deep breath, as if it was very hard to do.

But it is not Devan if he does not understand the turmoil of Kanaya's heart. Although Devan wishes Kanaya had nothing to do with Elvano anymore, but he knows, telling Kanaya to avoid Elvano will not make Kanaya's heart calm. That was why Kanaya was agitated, because once again, Kanaya could not ignore others, especially those who asked for help from her, even though her heart was heavy to do so.

"What would you say if you met him, Ay?" ask Devan who wants to know what's on Kanaya's mind.

"Come, Van? I don't know what I'm going to say or do. I don't even know if I'm going to see him or not" Kanaya said with a doubtful feeling.

"Lisa says that Elvano, she lost her passion for life. That's why he asked me to meet, Brother Elvano. Lisa was very worried about the situation of Elvano, Kak" Kanaya told what Lisa said.

"Well, whatever your decision is, make sure you're ready to deal with it. Regarding Alvaro, sooner or later Elvano will know, however much he is Alvaro's biological father and he has the right to know that" Devan said.

Devan felt very heavy when he said the last thing. From the bottom of his heart he wished he was Alvaro's biological father. But as a friend, he had to tell the truth so that Kanaya could make her choice and would never regret it one day.

Kanaya considers Devan's offer. It would have been easier if Devan had been by his side back then. However, Kanaya also does not want to always trouble Devan. He knew Devan had a job to do there. "But I'd love it if you'd pick us up at the airport tomorrow" Kanaya said with a smile.

"I will definitely do it without you asking, Ay." Devan said with a smile.

"Do you feel better now?" asked Devan who felt his tone was calmer at that time.

"I guessed it. Thank you, Devan." replied Kanaya.

"Sure, Ay. I know you can deal with it tomorrow,"

"Smoke dear to Alvaro, Ay. You better take a break now" Devan said before they hung up their phone conversation.

Kanaya didn't tell me that. Although he has to face Elvano tomorrow morning. But he felt better talking to Devan. He fell asleep shortly after the phone call with Devan was over.

In the morning, Kanaya sat in her office car that afternoon. Mr. Bandi, a driver from Mahendra Enterprise company, sat in the driver's seat, waiting with Kanaya in the city's Penitentiary parking lot. It was there that Elvano served his sentence. According to Lisa, Elvano was sentenced to three years in prison for maiming Maya. Maya suffered permanent paralysis due to Elvano's rampage that night.

Five minutes Kanaya's been waiting there to see you, Elvano. Until he saw Elvano standing at the door. This is the first time Kanaya has met Elvano again. Elvano looks very different from the Elvano that Kanaya used to know.
