Chapter 14: Recognizing Each Other

“What's down there, Vee?” Flora asked as she turned her head down to confirm the source of the noisy sound.

“Vee was just shocked to feel something creeping in his legs. So, accidentally stepped on Alvaro, Ma.” Olvee smiled to appease her parents who started staring suspiciously at her.

“You better stop fighting. Since childhood, you are brothers who rarely fight, but now you who fight more often. You're all grown up, but you're getting older the more you fight than you get along.” Zahir spoke again giving advice to both of them.

“Iya, that's right,” says Flora supports.

How can they not fight more often the more they grow up. Alvaro starts something wrong, while Olvee tries hard to avoid it and tries to stop it. However, instead he was plunged into something wrong with Alvaro.

“Kak Vee who always starts, Ma.” Alvaro pitted like a child his brother had mistreated.

“What?!” snatch Olvee did not accept.

“He's always been like that, Pa. Every time Alvaro tells him to be honest, Brother Vee always lies to me.” Olvee was speechless about what Alvaro had said.

“What do you always lie to Alvaro, Vee? And Alvaro, is it just because of that problem that you have to fight? Can't be talked about well? We just told you if you're an adult and can't act like a kid.” Zahir said to the two who answered nothing this time.

“Vee will rise to the top first.” Olvee chose to say goodbye without saying anything more.

Olvee was a little annoyed with his two parents who were not even at all guilty of anything. Hearing what they said, it felt like he was telling the truth about everything. If both his parents knew Alvaro's wrong attitude towards him.

Choosing not to think about it anymore, Olvee went inside the bathroom and started brushing her teeth. Do not forget to start her skin care ritual before preparing for sleep. However, just as he finished enveloping his body and closed his eyes, he heard a knock on the door of his room.

“Log in!” olvee exclaimed as she changed her body position to sit.

“You? What else are you doing here? Alvaro, I want to sleep today, please don't disturb me.” Olvee lay back, intending to ignore Alvaro.

“Vee .. ” says Alvaro slowly calls him. Olvee ignored him and turned his back, trying to try to fall asleep.

“There's something we should talk about.” Once again Alvaro spoke to him, but Olvee again ignored him. He began to feel afraid because Alvaro would discuss the mistakes they made a few days ago.

“Vee, stop ignoring me! Or I'll talk to our parents!” Alvaro's threat was successful in making Olvee finally woke up.

“Everything you want to talk about, Alvaro?” asked Olvee in a kind gentle tone. This time Olvee is determined to make a point on Alvaro.

“Can't you talk to me like that long ago?” Inside the dimly lit room, Olvee could see Alvaro's smile.

“Say directly what do you want?” Olvee's tone began to turn cranky.

“I want you,” replied Alvaro in a joking tone.

Olvee sighed softly. He looked at Alvaro in front of him.

“I'm sorry for that day,” said Olvee starting talks.

“Which day is it?” ask Alvaro.

Whether intentional or not, Olvee is really annoyed with Alvaro now. However, he did not vent his frustration for now for the sake of smooth talk. He swallowed his frustration because he had decided.

“In the day we accidentally make a mistake with kissing. I ask you to forget that, as well as myself who will do the same.” Alvaro long answered him, I don't know what he's thinking right now.

“Why should I do that?” alvaro muttered inquiring.

“What?” Olvee didn't listen too much to what Alvaro said.

“I told you that I too-”

“I want an honest answer from you. Why are you leaving without listening to me when I keep calling you? Why are you crying?” cut Alvaro firmly corner Olvee.

This time it was Olvee who could not answer in a short period of time. He thought long enough to pick out the sentences he had to say for him and Alvaro to put an end to this. Olvee bit her inner lips while continuing to weigh in. Should he honestly say it while saying his intention?

“I think I'm also crazy for starting to like my own sister.” As soon as he looked at Alvaro after thinking for a long time, without any cue Alvaro suddenly just kissed him.

However, this time Olvee tried to let go of their lips due to his sanity as well as his determination. Alvaro eventually gave up and stared intensely at Olvee who still looked flushed red. Olvee rubbed her wet lips with the back of her hand.

“Alvaro, I told you it was a mistake and madness. Don't do that. Even if I say what you want to hear, nothing has changed between us. I haven't changed my mind either. We can't continue and we'd better stop here.” Olvee held Alvaro's body very close to him.

“We can and will make it. I just need a confession from you, that's all. Not a rejection. We already like each other and it's not Vee's fault. You're not my brother and I'm not your sister. That's all you need to know.” Alvaro took a few strands of Olvee's hair and pointed them at his lips to let him softly suck.

“But I already consider you as my sister!” exciting Olvee.

“Then now don't consider me your sister. Are there any sisters and sisters who like each other as the opposite sex?” alvaro's question further cornered Olvee to have no other choice.

“You like me?” alvaro asked back with eyes so intensely staring at him full of seriousness made Olvee again helpless and more immersed in the two neutrals.

Olvee closed his eyes for a while with furrowed brows. He swallowed his saliva in nervousness. Slowly he began to nod softly answering Alvaro honestly in the far reaches of his heart.

“I know that,” said Alvaro who sounded full of relief while hugging Olvee.

Olvee slowly began to return Alvaro's embrace. His feelings are mixed now. It cannot be defined how he came to this situation. He made a decision that was crazy and never imagined.

At first he would talk seriously to Alvaro. Affirming their relationship and drawing distance between them once again. Forget about Alvaro and start living a normal life as usual. However, he could do nothing with the words of Alvaro that attracted his desire. He even drowned in both eyeballs that seemed to hypnotize him to obey everything said by the owner.

Olvee ultimately chose his heart over his logic. I don't know what will happen after this. Hoping that maybe after a long time they were like this, Alvaro would throw it away when bored and find the woman he really loved. He just needs to endure controlling his feelings that should not fall too deep until the woman comes.

“Don't think of anything else, I'll take care of everything.” Alvaro spoke and broke Olvee's daydream. Hearing him he just nodded.

“Do you know, I've been looking forward to this for a long time? It will be one step closer to our lives together forever.” Behind their arms, Alvaro's facial expression clearly showed that he was so happy. But slowly, the smile turned into a grin that showed satisfaction.

Will the woman really come? Or is it that woman?
