“Didn't they look twins?” asked Evan who was staring not far at a man in a neat suit who approached the table where they were sitting.
“I think we don't need any more witnesses,” Alvaro timpal while standing from his seat along with Evan.
“Mr Dylan Roxanne, I'm Alvaro Marveen.” Alvaro stretched out his hand which was received by him without hesitation. After taking off the handshake, before sitting down, the man's cold eagle eyes looked at Evan and the one woman who came with him.
“He is Evan Aristides, my secretary. While this is Bi Orkan, the maid in our main family house who will be the witness.” Alvaro who understood, introduced them.
Evan and the middle-aged woman named Orkan bowed politely to the Roxanne family man. They all sat back down, but the man in front of Alvaro seemed very unconcerned about Alvaro's hard-earned meeting.
“I've often heard from a wide variety of people who say if they have my sister. So, quickly provide any evidence or witnesses you bring to me.” He started the conversation first, saying indirectly the reason for his lazy-looking facial expression.
“I've heard if twin sisters somehow have a strong inner bond, let's just meet your sister directly. I also have a photo,” replied Alvaro confidently while opening his phone and showing one of Olvee's photos.
Dylan took his phone and stared at the old Olvee photo. I don't know what he's thinking, but Alvaro feels this is something positive.
“I don't know how the Roxanne and Marveen family relationship is not so good, according to what my grandparents said. I also heard this story from those who heard it from someone who saw the incident firsthand. Aunt Orkan had been in our family since she was young, and she herself saw that Olvee's own parents had dumped Olvee on the streets. That's why he and his sister were intending to raise Olvee, but my father prevented her and took Olvee.” Alvaro explained and got a pretty sharp look from Dylan. He gave back Alvaro's phone.
“Sorry if my words offend you or your family, but I heard according to what the witness I brought. Bi Orkan can talk,” Alvaro said.
“What is this person that Aunty saw?” tanya Alvaro then showed a picture of a husband and wife whose faces appeared quite often in magazines and news while they were alive. It was Olvee's parents, Mr and Mrs Roxanne.
Orkan nodded, “Iya, that is the person I also saw dumping Miss Vee on that night. I don't know if they're important enough. All I think is I feel sorry for Miss Vee who is still a baby crying on the side of the road.”
“I intend to take her and raise her with my sister, but Mr. Zahir sees that and takes over Miss Olvee. He also said I should keep my mouth shut about everything,” he continued.
“There have been many stories that I heard this from the mouths of various people,” said Dylan sounding sniffle.
“Then, I can only rely on your bond with him. You can meet him with me.” Not out of sense, Alvaro again tried to convince Dylan.
“Why didn't he come with you here?” ask Dylan.
“Now my father forbids me to meet with Olvee, if I am found to be intending to bring Olvee to meet with his family, he will reject it strongly. He's the one who least wants Olvee to be reunited with his family.” Evan was a little surprised to hear Alvaro's confession that they hadn't talked about before. Looks like he's run out of ideas to make Dylan believe to the point of lying. Not entirely lying either.
“If you still do not believe, you can do a DNA test with it,” added Alvaro.
Dylan still had not let out his voice to give a response to everything Alvaro had said. Makes Alvaro wait out anxious hopes after risking everything. The cold attitude and sadistic impression of Dylan made Alvaro inevitably a little reluctant as long as they spoke.
“Have you ever heard the rumor that I was the one who killed my own two parents?” Dylan suddenly changed his tone and manner of speaking to Alvaro while looking at him with a cruel look of intimidation.
“It was nothing more than a rumor,” replied Alvaro.
“Unfortunately the rumor is true, I am indeed the killer of both my parents.” Dylan replied calmly not changing his tone despite what he said.
“But both my parents deserved it. They are more foul than the rumors, and so are our families. When I heard the truth that both of my parents were just obsessed with boys, throwing away my sister on purpose, I went crazy. I'm planning a takeover of my family's company to cover my tracks later on intending to kill my parents.” Dylan talked about this as if it was nothing and sounded like the truth.
“Do you believe this?” ask Dylan then shortly.
This question felt like an answer that would be the decision Dylan would believe it or not. From how it is spoken, it sounds convincing. However, people like Dylan are not easy to believe his words. At a time like this, Alvaro was grateful for the lesson Zahir had given him.
“If you say it, I'll believe it. My family is good on the surface, not always good in it.” Alvaro gave the answer.
“I don't care about your real answer,” said Dylan.
“This is just a warning to you. If until all your words are not proven or wrong, I will not hesitate to kill you like I killed my parents.” Dylan said coldly.
“Didn't he look like a psychopath? Is she really Brother Vee?” whispered Evan who had wanted to talk to him since.
"Shut up!" alvaro replied in a whisper.
"I don't like wasting my time, let's go and get this over with now." Dylan ignored their conversation and stood up from his seat.
"Yeah, sure." Alvaro stood up and followed Dylan.
The payment for everything he said was his own life. After interacting with him earlier, he was convinced of one thing, that Dylan seemed to really have a psychopathic side. However, hearing both Olvee's parents and family were quite rotten, he felt naturally that Dylan had that side.
"By the way, Vee is pregnant." Alvaro gave me other information.
"I still don't believe that if he's my brother, there's no need to say it because I don't care."
