Chapter 31: The Trap of a Friend

“Vee, where are you going?” Before Olvee got to the first floor, his mother had already blocked him as soon as he came out of the room in neat clothes.

“Zara invites to meet today.” Olvee's answer did not make Flora satisfied. He still looked suspiciously at his daughter without saying anything.

Olvee picked up her phone in her bag and showed the contents of a conversation between herself and Zara this afternoon that she was going to stay at her place. However, Flora still suspected Olvee without saying anything.

“Ma, Mama knows me well. I didn't even tell Alvaro anything at all. Last we were in touch since that day only.” Olvee looked at Flora with a carefree look because of their really thin trust in her now. He also showed evidence of the content of the conversation he and Alvaro last since a week ago. Olvee even showed traces of anyone who called him last week.

“Mama believes, but Papa doesn't. If that's what you say, go.” Flora passed away after getting a series of proofs that Olvee said.

What Flora said was true. If Zahir had seen it, he would not have believed it so easily and would have followed Olvee directly. Just like a father who worries about his daughter who is still in school.

“Then I say goodbye,” said Olvee following the mother who was still down the stairs.

“Be careful, go straight home after you from Zara's place,” advice Flora.

“Iya,” Olvee said without looking back.

After retrieving the car keys, Olvee got out of the house and drove to Zara's restaurant first because she was there. Before finally going home together to stay the night. Whether there was a wind what Zara invited him to stay at her house as high as one month ago they held a party together at her house. Maybe because Zara was worried about him, that's what Olvee thought.

Olvee sighed as the light was red. He stared at the screen of his cell phone showing a picture of himself and Alvaro. “I miss him,” muttered Olvee while leaning his head on the steering wheel of the car.

The sound of the vehicle horn behind him spread his short daydream. He again stepped on the accelerator after seeing the vehicle in front of him had been running.

It didn't take long for Olvee to be on the streets. He got out of the car and went into the restaurant. Precisely to the room Zara located on the top floor where the boss room is located.

“Hai, Zara,” greet Olvee as soon as he opens the door and finds his best friend struggling with his job.

“Hai!” Zara diverted her attention and immediately stood up from her seat, realizing Olvee's arrival.

“How are you?” zara asked after they hugged her tightly.

“I'm good,” replied Olvee sober.

“Let's have a chat on the sofa,” Zara said after seeing the clock on her wrist.

“I want juice.” Olvee asked for what she wanted.

“Su-sure,” replied Zara who sounded half in doubt making Olvee squeak.

Zara walked out of her room after closing the door. Though usually he will tell Olvee to ask his own staff so that he can directly say his wishes.

Not thinking too much, Olvee sat on the sofa and played her phone while waiting for Zara. When the door was heard reopening, Olvee looked up to divert attention from his phone. He was surprised because the one who came was not Zara, but someone he had longed for all this time.

“Vee ..” He walked quickly towards Olvee and immediately hugged her tightly. Olvee felt that Alvaro had kissed her hair several times.

Feelings of longing, sadness, anger, disappointment, and everything mixed into one. He could no longer deny that he missed this man so much as well, not as his sister anymore. From there Olvee realized that he had fallen too deeply in love with her. Olvee returned Alvaro's embrace was not less tight.

“I miss you,” muttered Olvee slowly enjoying the touch of Alvaro that he had not felt for a long time.

“I left you for a while and you guys have already made physical contact.” Zara's voice interrupted the two. Olvee immediately regained her senses and let go of their embrace.

“Vee, let's go.” Alvaro didn't let Olvee get away from him. He immediately took Olvee's hand and pulled it hard enough without hurting him to make Olvee reflex stand up and follow Alvaro's steps.

“Alvaro, where are we going? I'll go with Zara,” Olvee said stopping their steps.

“I don't whine!” exclaimed Alvaro while rolling his eyes lazily.

“Come, Vee.” Alvaro again pulls Olvee who is still surprised and half-disbelieving Zara can do this just like that after knowing and listening to her own story.

In the end, Olvee managed to get dragged up to Alvaro's car. They're not headed to the street of the house of course, or Zara's house. This street was the road leading to a luxurious penthouse area that Alvaro had once shown him. Now Olvee knows where Alvaro lives.

“What is all this included in your plan?” ask Olvee after Alvaro's car is parked.

“Iya,” replied Alvaro without bothering to lie to him. He got out of the car first and circled the car, definitely intending to open the door for him. Olvee opens his own door and leaves without Alvaro's help.

Olvee believes that Alvaro is not just about to talk to him. He took her to the penthouse alone. They hadn't seen each other for a week. Olvee has no intention of reneging on his promise to his parents. However, what Olvee thought was true?

Inside the elevator that was only the two of them, no one spoke at all. Unusually Alvaro who always clings to him and speaks a lot in front of him becomes a quiet man and gives off a cold aura. When it arrived in front of the unit, Olvee hesitated to enter it after Alvaro opened the door. He turned towards Olvee and looked at her for a long time.

“Come in, Vee.” Alvaro spoke while giving the code to him to enter. Olvee had no choice but to go inside.

“Tell me what you want to talk to me about here,” Olvee said after she sat on the sofa while Alvaro walked towards the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Bring along two juice bottles that he took in there.

“Why do you look so scared?” asked Alvaro smiling ignorantly looking at Olvee who looked agitated. That side still seemed to be very attached to him, although he had at first glance deeply felt the boss aura of a large company.

“I was just going to talk to you, but since you had such expectations I had no other choice.” Alvaro stood up from his seat opposite Olvee and drew closer to the woman who was growing alarmed.

“What's up, Vee?” ask Alvaro who is already in front of him. Bowing right in front of his face, shutting himself between the two sturdy arms of the man.

“Quickly say what you want and let me go,” urged Olvee without looking at those two dangerous eyes.

“Didn't you miss me?” Olvee was silent and did not answer Alvaro's question.

“You can push me or bite my lips if you don't like.” It was Alvaro's last words before he stuck his lips together.

Both of Olvee's hands felt touching Alvaro's chest which left the two men's net exposed. He thought Olvee was about to push him, but seeing his facial expression and Olvee's two closed eyeballs made a faint smile on his lips. He removed his lips and rubbed Olvee's lips with his thumb.

“Women are very difficult to understand. They are very different between his words and deeds.”
