Chapter 47: The Bitter Truth

“Welcome to your new room!” In spirit, Dylan showed off the new room Olvee would occupy from now on.

Once we got to this big enough house, Dylan and Olvee were greeted quite warmly by perhaps almost all the workers in this house. Dylan looked unperturbed and used to it, but it was different from Olvee who was feeling awkward. The whole worker leaned neatly in line as he stood in their midst, saying he would serve him well. Of course it was something that made Olvee surprised because in his old house only they had one housekeeper. Although they were wealthy families, all family members were accustomed to living independently.

“I'm sorry because it only looks like this is the result, I'm in a hurry to prepare your room.” Dylan said, awakening Olvee's daydreams.

“I have absolutely no problem,” replied Olvee.

Her room paint does not have much bright color. Only monochrome colors decorate the walls and all sorts of furniture in it. Like his old room. Not exactly the same, just have the same air and feel because it has the same concept.

“I heard that your profession until now was a painter, and you painted in your room. So, I've created a gallery space in your room as well. The goods haven't been delivered yet, it'll probably be until tomorrow. For now, you rest just recuperate.” Dylan stepped first towards the door he seemed to have mentioned earlier.

“Come and see. If anything is lacking, you can tell me,” he continued, followed by Olvee's steps approaching.

“Do you feel satisfied?” dylan asked after Olvee next to him took a look around his new gallery.

“This is more than enough, Brother. Thank you.” Olvee turned to her and smiled showing satisfaction.

Dylan raised his hand and gently stroked his hair, feeling glad Olvee looked happy. “This is a natural thing for a sister to her sister, Olvee. Don't hesitate.” Olvee.

“Come down to eat together after the shower, clothes are ready in the dressing room,” Dylan said.

“Yes,” replied Olvee and Dylan waltzing away.

Olvee obeyed what Dylan said because his body asked for the same thing. He should have been home two days ago, but the two possessive and overprotective men beside him didn't let that happen. Today, he was finally able to go home and enjoy a warm bath that he had not felt for a long time. Even when he was locked in his room, he did not enjoy his bath at all which was only a few times in 5 days confined.

Since he remembered home, there was a debate when Olvee was about to go home. Dylan disagrees if he returns home with his parents and wants him to stay at home. Alvaro wants him to live in his penthouse with him. Both of them stubbornly defended their opinions.

“Vee and I will get married, it's only natural that we stay faster! And again, she's pregnant with my son. What if she feels something?” alvaro was trying to win his argument.

“It is precisely because you are getting married and I just met my sister that I should spend more time with her! In my house there are 2 doctors who 24 hours will be ready to check the state of Olvee if something happens. Don't make excuses!” That's Dylan's argument.

Olvee who remembered that moment was laughing at the incident that after he thought it was quite funny as well. After she chose her brother, Alvaro did not let go at all even until at the last second she was riding in a car with Dylan. It made Dylan quite upset and fed on him, barely wanting to bless their relationship.

Olvee finished with his bath, he stood up from the bath up and rinsed his body. Put on his bathrobe and step into the dressing room. When Dylan said that the closet was filled with clothes, it was full of new clothes. Where will his old clothes be put?

If it continued to think about this, it would be endless as Dylan continued to give him surprises. Olvee chose her casual clothes and once she was done, went downstairs looking for a dining room.

“What is your bath comfortable?” dylan asked after seeing Olvee walking towards the dining table.

“There is no reason to say no. This is the most comfortable shower after so long,” Olvee said.

“Thank God to hear it,” timpal Dylan.

“I don't know your favorite food, please let me know next time. But I'm also happy to prepare all these meals for you.” Dylan spoke again, which made Olvee's attention turn to the food that filled the dining table.

“I don't pick or specifically like certain foods. No need to worry, Brother.” Olvee.

“Let's eat, hope this taste suits you.” Not speaking anymore, Dylan and Olvee started eating the food on the table.

“By the way, I didn't see and hear from our parents?” asked Olvee who suddenly made Dylan speechless in the middle of his eating chew.

In accordance with Olvee's interests and profession, he only knew about art and painting. Not following or just want to know the business world and its life. So, he didn't know much about even Roxanne's family. He just found out also from Alvaro that they also have a company business that is not less large than the Marveen family. However, they control a different city.

“They are dead,” replied Dylan.

“A-what? I mean, sorry. No-”

“No, don't feel too guilty let alone sad for them.” Dylan cut Olvee's words. He began to look different when talking about their parents.

Sooner or later Olvee needs to know this truth. And Dylan reckons, this is the exact time he told Olvee the truth despite being bitter. Whatever happens, he will still love and protect Olvee even after this Olvee hates him.

“They are rotten people who could throw you away just because of a ridiculous obsession. Not only them, but the entire Roxanne family was completely rotten. However, what was left when I realized it was both my parents who made me suffer.” Dylan began to tell a story that Olvee listened to carefully.

“Because that's when I found out the truth, I killed those two,”.

“You can hate me or this family, I really don't-” Her words were cut because Olvee touched her hand. Dylan raised his teary face.

“I don't hate you or our family because fate brought me to a good family like the Marveen family. They raised me like their daughter until I grew up with a lot of love. You've worked so hard to change our family and always thought of me. From now on, think to yourself, Brother.” A single tear soaked his cheek.

“You did grow up in the right family,” said Dylan while erasing the trail of tears.

“I have a request,” Olvee said later.

“What is it?” ask Dylan.

“Please don't hate the family that raised me so much.”
