Chapter 28: Explanation and Decision

“Alvaro!” jehan shouted when he saw Alvaro who was not ready to get a fist from Zahir, fell down.

Jihan immediately approached Alvaro to help him stand up. Thinking that Alvaro would not know anything and take his help for granted, it turned out that he was wrong. Alvaro brushed off Jihan's hand that was about to help him and looked at her sharply. He then stood back up and looked at the three members of the Handreson family alternately.

“Because the relationship between the two families has become like this, this means it's all over, right? Now is our family problem, so you all can go.” Alvaro said in a cold tone to the Jihan family especially the woman he was showering with a sharp look.

“Alvaro, i-”

“No need to talk, I already know everything!” snapped Alvaro cut off Jihan's gasping speech at Alvaro's tone.

“Don't ever come back to my house!” said Alvaro sharply shown to all members of the Jihan family including Jihan herself.

“Let's go from this disgusting family, Jihan. There are still many better men than him!” reply Mr. Handreson haughtily while pulling the arm of his daughter who was still too shocked by Alvaro's rude attitude. All members of the Alvaro family still did not move to just stop Alvaro from expelling him.

“Come, Jihan.” Her mother pulls Jihan's body to leave the Marveen family home. Sehigga Jihan had no choice but to follow her father and mother, although this was not what she wanted.

“Vee ..” When calling him, Alvaro's tone changed to softer. He immediately approached Olvee and helped him to stand up.

Both of his parents just watched how Alvaro's treatment and attitude towards Olvee. Both are inexhaustible with what has been done by his daughter's son who has crossed the norm. Though they both get the same love, education, and treatment as siblings in general. However, it all vanished there was nothing.

“Alvaro, please explain why you are doing this? Do you really love each other?” flora asked with sobs asking for answers from the son of Marveen family's pride.

“What are you talking about? What nonsense does the daughter of another family you trust more than your own daughter's son?” alvaro is lying. He glanced at Olvee who was staring at him blankly.

“Now you dare lie to us. His attitude like that does it show less if it is true? And the other family's daughter has brought you proof of your disgusting act!” snapped Zahir while throwing his cellphone that was playing the sound recording that became evidence.

Alvaro took the phone and looked at the contents. After the sound recording, Alvaro spoke a thousand languages. His choice to lie and prolong this lie is gravely wrong.

“Do you still dare to say if you don't do it?” asked Zahir in a cold tone.

“Yes, that's right. I love Vee as a woman not as my sister,” replied Alvaro loudly and calmly.

“You ..!” Zahir looked at Alvaro with an angry look and raised his fist again to hit Alvaro. However, the man this time held his father's fist bravely and threw him out.

“We are completely innocent. The feeling we had, not a mistake. Because in reality, we're not siblings, are we?” Flora could not hide that surprised expression.

“Are you crazy and lost your mind for a moment because you were drunk?” snapped Zahir pointed at Alvaro.

“Pa, what's wrong with loving each other-”

“You are siblings until anytime. Is it something that is hard for you to understand?” zahir asked to cut off Alvaro's words.

“We are not siblings!” alvaro.

“Where did you hear that from? Can you prove it? Bring now the proof!” zahir's orders.

“Both you or Vee are Mama and Papa's biological children. You think you've outlived us alone to be your parents?” urge Zahir to back corner Alvaro.

“Then why are Oma and Opa's attitudes so different to that of Kak Celine and to Vee?” ask Alvaro.

“Do you trust someone who has thrown away our family?” Zahir turned the question around.

“It's not-”

“Then do a DNA test with Vee to prove it, Pa.” This time it was Avaro's turn to cut off his father's speech and corner him. He did not expect that his father would still consider himself to be a newly grown boy.

Flora and Zahir could not answer what Alvaro had said. Olvee was also quietly waiting for what the two of them would say. He asked himself and his parents if she was not the daughter of the family.

Flora glanced at her husband who was also staring at her. He sighed before speaking, “Alvaro-”

“Papa does not accept any rebuttal and will not approve your relationship at any time. Now choose, between you or Vee who will come out of this house.” Zahir prevented his wife from saying anything. In the end he himself broke off Alvaro and Olvee's relationship by separating them without giving any answer.

“Papa will give you the opportunity to end this relationship and get back on the right path,”.

“Vee ..” call Zahir on Olvee who has been staring blankly since.

“Papa will give you a last chance. You or Alvaro who came out of this house,” Zahir spoke to Olvee.

Olvee stood back up and approached the father. “Let me get out of the house. I'll follow everything Papa says, please don't hate Vee, Pa.”

Zahir hugged Olvee gently and rubbed her back. “Alright, stay away from Alvaro and Papa will match you with another man. You will remain the daughter of the Marveen family.”

Alvaro clenched his hand hearing what his father had said. It is clear from the behavior and what he said earlier reflects that Olvee is not the real daughter of this family, but he does not understand why his father stubbornly considers Olvee his daughter.

Seeing Olvee who was so depressed just by the empty threat his father said further added to Alvaro's annoyance. He sighed softly because of his defeat. For now he has indeed lost to his father because he does not hold any evidence that can make his father silent. But Alvaro promised he would make his father bless their relationship.

“What are you waiting for, Alvaro?” zahir asked after their embrace was broken.

“Don't you have to go now?”

Olvee and Alvaro stared at each other for a long time. The scarred look Olvee showed weakened Alvaro. The originally sharp gaze softened as it sat down with Olvee.

"We'll be together." Alvaro moved his lips silently saying so then smiled gently at Olvee.
