Chapter 17: A Bad First Date?

“On this week's day it looks like you guys are going?” flora asked after looking at the clothes of her two children who were neat.

“Ya,” reply Olvee.

“Where are you going? What together?” ask Flora back.

“Ya.”

“No.”

Olvee and Alvaro answered in unison with different answers. They looked at each other, not least with Flora and Zahir staring at the two alternately.

“I mean, we don't go to the same place, but we go together.” Alvaro immediately corrected the answer.

“Ya,” add Olvee.

“Happy during your off work,” said Zahir.

“Come, Brother,” invite Alvaro after he spends his breakfast.

“Your sister is still eating, Alvaro. Wait a minute,” scold Flora.

“It looks like he's in a great hurry. I'll spend the bread in the car, Ma. See you, Ma, Pa.” Olvee said goodbye to his father and mother as well as Alvaro alternately.

“Why should we lie just to go together like we used to do in college?” olvee asked puzzled after they left the house.

“I don't know either. Maybe because this time we're going on a date?” alvaro asked back while laughing.

“Not dating! We only spend time together after such a long time as when we were in college!” exclaimed Olvee with flushed cheeks and immediately got into the car.

‘Do you not know, if you are very funny, Vee?’ Alvaro shook his head at Olvee's behavior and got into the car.

“Where are we going?” asked Olvee after Alvaro's car drove.

“We will go to the amusement park,” replied Alvaro.

“We're going to that place on our first date?” asked Olvee who was not hidden in a disappointed tone.

“So, you think we're dating now?” Alvaro asked the ignorant who immediately made Olvee's cheeks turn red again.

“I just want to go to that special place with you again with different situation,” explained Alvaro.

“Special?” Olvee was confused.

Alvaro. “For me the place is special because every time we take off and release the fatigue from activities, we always go there just the two of us. Although both, still fun because together with you.”

Unlike Olvee who was bored and considered the place as a normal place, Alvaro actually treated it as a special place. Because every place was visited, only visited by the two of them.

“Alvaro, actually, since when do you have that taste in me? And how can it be?” Olvee looked at Alvaro curiously.

“I am also confused and do not understand why I have other feelings for my own brother who grew up with me. But, since childhood, I've had a different taste for you than I did for Sister Celine.” Alvaro's answer really took Olvee by surprise.

“Since childhood?” muttered Olvee.

“But since I was a kid, I don't know. To be honest, I just assumed that the difference in taste was a greater affection for you than Sister Celine. That's it .. ” explains Alvaro.

“Until I grow up and see you differently,” continued Alvaro.

Olvee doesn't blame Alvaro. Everyone deserves to feel it, but in Alvaro's case, he has even felt that difference since they were kids. Is that something that might happen to the person you grew up with since childhood? Are they not brothers and sisters? Or Alvaro himself who suffers from a mental disorder?

“What do you think?” alvaro asked as he touched Olvee's hands which immediately snapped.

Olvee looked around where Alvaro's car had stopped in a parking lot. “Are we there?” Alvaro.

“Ayo,” take Alvaro with her while removing her seatbelt followed by Olvee.

“Here!” The cry of someone made the two search for the origin of the sound as soon as they had just gotten off the car.

Someone across from them waved his hand in front of a car. From his face, Olvee recognized who it was. It seems he did it intentionally to them. Alvaro turned to his right and left to cross and approached the man while holding Olvee's hand.

“I don't know,” replied Alvaro turned his face away.

“But it seems like he already knew we were going to come here and deliberately wait for us,” Olvee said throwing a suspicious look at the two.

“He I used for a reason to go with you. But, she won't interfere with our date, Vee.” Alvaro finally told the truth which made Olvee laugh.

“Wait, does Evan already know our relationship?” Alvaro nodded in response. It looks like Evan's not a problem. Just like him who believed Zara this story and Evan that Alvaro believed.

“If there is Evan, we have entered and enjoyed the rides together.” Olvee went on to give advice.

“Good idea, Brother!” added Evan excited who got the shot from Alvaro.

“Alvaro .. ” Olvee commemorates Alvaro.

“It's okay, come on,” take Olvee while pulling Alvaro's hand.

Alvaro's pre-planned date was alone with Olvee in a special place, failing already because of him as well. He should not lie and tell Evan to lie just in case his parents ask. In the end, this is not a date but rather a play together. According to him, Evan had already desecrated this special place making Alvaro arrogant.

“First, let's warm up with that ride!” point Olvee at one of the light rides.

“I agree, Brother!” Evan nodded in agreement and ran first. Olvee pulls Alvaro's hand to come running after Evan.

“Vee, Vee, we don't need to run!” exclaimed Alvaro annoyed that was not heeded by Olvee who was too excited. No less excited than Evan.

Two more hours they finally spent trying various kinds of rides just for heating. The one who had been chatting and was very happy was only Olvee and Evan. Alvaro just follows wherever Olvee pulls him. Looks like the real date is Olvee and Evan.

“I'll buy a drink,” said Evan took the initiative to let them be together eventually. Seeing how since then Alvaro's face was so sharp looking at him.

“You look unhappy with Evan's presence?” tanya Olvee started the conversation when she already knew the answer.

Alvaro took Olvee's hand for him to hold and reached Olvee's head to let him lean on Alvaro's shoulder. Olvee only complied this time to make him happy.

“I'm not happy with him, but if you're happy I'll be happy too.” Alvaro's reply made Olvee smile.

“Other times, we better not lie to go together. We can date again whenever you want. Really just two.” Olvee raised his head and looked at Alvaro to comfort him.

“I'll do better,” replied Alvaro touching Olvee's cheek with the other hand.

“Then I will make some other special places that we will only visit together.” Although Olvee's cheeks were flushed, he did not avoid Alvaro's netra this time.

“Hey, hey!” Evan's voice made the two divert attention. Olvee immediately maintained his sitting distance with Alvaro.

“Thank you .. ” Olvee hung up on his words when he saw someone coming along with Evan behind him.

“Evan,” call Alvaro sharp while staring at the girl behind Evan.

“I met our college friend at the booth and I brought him here because he was alone.” Evan was a little uncomfortable with the two of them. After he also joined them and disrupted the show, he also invited Jihan who was clearly the fiancee of Alvaro. However, he also did not have the heart to see Jihan who looked alone.

Olvee swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. Their last conversation suddenly flashed inside his head. Now, he felt like he was the most hypocritical person here.

“Hai Brother Olvee, Alvaro.”
