Chapter 20: Future Plans

“Is Jihan still on your mind?” Alvaro's question jolted Olvee.

“Ha-hah? Why does Jihan have to be on my mind?” Olvee started to wave.

“Vee .. ” Alvaro's tone changed when he called his name which made Olvee a little shocked mixed with fear. Somehow it felt, he felt like he had to follow what Alvaro said when he heard that cold tone.

“What were you talking about with Jihan?” Finally the question that had been stuck in Olvee's heart was issued.

“We only spoke one and two terms of formality to show our relationship," replied Alvaro lying to Olvee.

“I know everything, Alvaro. You and Jihan are working together, right?” Alvaro was quite surprised, hearing what Olvee said.

“I caught a glimpse of how Jihan's facial expression was when she came out of your room earlier. He looks very sad. Have you cut off your relationship with him?” asked Olvee back what he expected, getting an honest answer from Alvaro.

“That's right." Avaro no longer intends to lie to Ovee because he feels there is no point in lying if Olvee already knows.

“What else did he say besides that, Vee?” ask Alvaro.

Olvee was a little hesitant to say everything to Alvaro. With him saying so, he also had to bear the shame of being caught licking his own spit and being the most hypocritical person in this world. However, he also seemed to have no other choice but to answer everything.

“You know, I didn't realize I liked you yet, Alvaro.” Olvee started this conversation which Alvaro listened to carefully.

“So, that afternoon, Jihan came up to me and said everything. He also said he would not give up on you and told me not to accept you. Of course I confidently said I wouldn't do what he thought. I didn't pay much heed to her until I told Zara everything about my slight anxiety. I finally realized I liked you.” Alvaro still listens to the convoluted story of Olvee.

“In addition to feeling guilty for taking you from him, I have also reneged on my own words by not doing what was on his mind. How I didn't know the shame at that moment. I'm the most hypocritical woman, right?” asked Olvee after ending his explanation.

“So that afternoon you started to realize that you have feelings for me?” muttered Alvaro with a smile on his lips.

“Alvaro! Have you heard me since or not?” Olvee's face was initially nervous because of embarrassment, this time looking annoyed with Alvaro's response which seemed to not listen to him at all.

“Y-yes, I heard it, really. Actually, you didn't take me from anyone because I was yours from the beginning, Vee. Last thing, I don't think you're a hypocritical woman. You only realized it after your conversation with Jihan that bothered you enough. And you realized it after meeting Zara. That doesn't mean hypocrite, Vee.”

“So, don't feel guilty for Jihan. He also took advantage of the opportunity I gave him. There's nothing to worry about anymore." Alvaro draws Olvee into his arms.

“Nothing to worry about how do you mean?!” upset Olvee who again pinched the stomach of Alvaro behind the casual shirt he used.

Whatever Alvaro's well-packed words say, it doesn't change the decision of the two of them who have hurt Jihan. Although Alvaro says that she is not a hypocritical woman, she still feels that way. Olvee becomes increasingly guilty of the woman who loves Alvaro sincerely.

“I hope you speak once again to Jihan to end it well and apologize to her, Alvaro. Besides, he must have known about us. You better talk to her to keep this a secret for a while.” Olvee said so in the hope that Alvaro could understand what he meant.

“I understand, we have parted well and told him to keep this a secret" Alvaro said lightly.

‘With a little threatening him, ' he continued inwardly.

"It's a smart girl who knows what she has to do. Don't worry about him anymore.” Although Alvaro said not to worry about Olvee, he still could not lower his gaze on Jihan.

"Then what about our parents?" Once again Olvee showed her anxious facial expression to Alvaro.

“I'll just say if we don't match and choose not to continue the relationship. That's done, right?” Alvaro said easily.

“That's not what I meant. No need to say it, you already understand what I mean.” Alvaro did not reply anytime soon when these talks were back they were talking about.

“Of course I have planned it, Vee .. You wait and just go with me without worrying about anything. We will be together comfortably. I'll make sure of it.” Alvaro again avoided this topic and chose to change his body position to lie down while pulling Olvee.

Automatic, Olvee also entered into the warm embrace of Alvaro while lying down. Alvaro had said for a few days about this was just such an answer. He always avoids the topic of conversation by falling asleep. He also could not do much more because he felt Alvaro might have really planned something about their relationship. If not, it's better because Alvaro is certainly not too serious with him. Which means, sooner or later, all this madness will be over.

Olvee began to enjoy the comfort provided by Alvaro. Regret it before he and Alvaro become an awkward family and cannot behave as closely as they are now or even when they are in the past.

‘Do not worry, Vee. I'll prove that you're not their real daughter to Mama and Papa so I can marry you.’

“Sayang .. Jihan .. ” Both parents of the girl have been knocking on the door since then to check on her daughter who just returned from Alvaro's office in a state that is not okay.

“Speak, Son. What's wrong with you and Nak Alvaro?” the father asked, knocking on the door of his room.

Inside her dark room, Jihan curled up in the corner of the room. Crying in silence all by herself while continuing to listen to the parting sentence Alvaro said to her and her relationship with Olvee. His own biological brother.

“This should be impossible.”

“This is wrong.”

“They are wrong.”

Those were the murmurs spoken by Jihan from earlier in the midst of her tears that kept dripping out. Although his tears came out, his facial expression clearly showed as if he was thinking. Not sadness, disappointment, or anger. The face of someone who is thinking.

“Nak, do you have a problem with Alvaro? Let Mama talk to her family.” This time it was her mother's turn to speak.

Suddenly the door that had been knocked on was opened from the inside. Appearing a figure of Jihan who looks messy, clearly shows if he is not okay.

“Nak, what's up? Saying something. If you and Alvaro have any problems, we'll talk about it with Alvaro's parents for your matchmaking relationship.” His father said with a tone of worry that was as worried as the facial expression he had.

“No, I mean, me and Alvaro do have a little misunderstanding, but we can certainly deal with it. You don't have to worry or talk to both parents.” Jihan replied with a smile on her lips. He was perfectly able to hide something from his parents.
