Chapter 39: Shake up

Olvee suspected this when he returned home from Alvaro's office. He accidentally looked at the calendar and forgot that the date was very late showing the schedule of coming months. “I'm pregnant, Alvaro.” After successfully saying so, Olvee's heart was actually beating rapidly. While thinking about what would happen in the future with her made tears involuntarily drip.

“A-I'm pregnant, Alvaro... What should I do? What about our future? What about our parents? What about this kid later?” olvee continued to panic and expressed all the anxiety he thought.

“Papa will not stay silent! She'll keep us apart and make me her daughter. We'll be brothers and sisters! I-”

“Hey, Vee, Vee, calm down.” Alvaro let go of his embrace and touched both of Olvee's cheeks to calm him and his tears.

“Are you glad to hear about my pregnancy?” olvee asked in a tone of disbelief as she let go of Alvaro's hands that were on both of her cheeks and changed her body position to sit down.

“You never even said what you planned and did! As long as we parted ways, you didn't try to contact me at all despite knowing Papa blocked our access. I doubt if you're really trying for me, Alvaro.” Olvee stared intently suspiciously at Alvaro who was silent.

Alvaro understands that Olvee is currently quite severe for her pregnancy in this state. Olvee who is a fairly sensitive type of person cannot ignore the things she worries about. Before this, Olvee probably held him back and chose to hold onto his trust. However, when another ‘problem’ comes, let alone a pregnancy that is very connected and affects feelings, Olvee gets more stressed and vaporizes everything.

“Vee, I love you.” Alvaro said softly, not the slightest bit of other tone of his voice was heard.

“I've loved you even since we were kids. Makes me always want to be with you, even though at that time I did not know if it was this kind of feeling. I realized this one year ago and for the first time I heard you weren't their daughter. It gives me hope that we can be together. That's why I started to convince you and justify all means so that you too can love me.” Olvee listened in silence to an old story Alvaro had told.

“At that time I was still too naive to find any way beside Papa who was still watching me. The day you said you loved me, I tried. Vee, I've loved you for a long time and used every means so I could keep you with me even today. Where could I just give up after we've come this far.” Olvee's crying did not stop and made her cry even more.

“We will have a child and that child can strengthen our relationship and our reason for being together, Vee. Papa won't be able to separate us anymore. Trust me, yeah?” Alvaro held onto both of Olvee's trembling hands.

“In addition, Papa will also not be able to separate us when I bring your biological family, Vee.” The continuation of Alvaro's words made Olvee look at him.

“Yes, your biological family, I've found them.” Alvaro.

“Do I have it?” Alvaro once again nodded.

Olvee hugged him back and Alvaro happily returned his embrace. “I'm sorry,” said Olvee. See?

“I know, I know what you're feeling, My Love. Don't apologize.” Alvaro shook his head while gently stroking Olvee's hair.

“I will take your family so they can acknowledge you as their family and release you from the Marveen family. Therefore, please be strong for me, and for us.” Alvaro's hands gently touched Olvee's flat stomach.

Olvee nodded obediently as she touched her stomach on top of Alvaro's hand while staring at his stomach for a long time. “But who is my family? How did I grow up in the Marveen family?” asked Olvee to turn his net back to Alvaro.

“I didn't know, I only heard from Oma and Opa who your family is. They are the Roxanne family, who now control the city of X.” Alvaro lied for Olvee's own good.

She may be telling the truth as far as she knows, given how frightened Olvee reacted when she found out she was pregnant. It's been hard and so far he's regained Olvee's trust, he will definitely be fragile and stressed again when he heard that both his parents deliberately threw it away and there are rumors of his biological brother killing both parents. “I'll go see your family and bring it home, so for a while I won't call you. You take care of your health at home, ok?” Alvaro.

“I was just saying goodbye to Verald today, and you suddenly took me until the afternoon. I'll just go home now, I'm not sure if Verald will tell Papa or not.”.

“If that's what you want, I'll drive you to your car,” said Alvaro.

It took an hour for Alvaro and Olvee to get ready and get to Alvaro's office where Evan's car was. The clock had already shown at 7pm, and Olvee was worried enough that he did not dare to open his phone. Inside his head was now filled with various excuses that he would use on his father who would definitely question him.

“See you later, Alvaro,” said to Olvee before he finally drove his car home.

15 Minutes he got home. Right at dinner time. Olvee went inside the house, trying to stay calm and control himself. In the car he had checked many times if there was no trace of Alvaro in his body.

“You just got home after having a good day full of Alvaro?” As soon as he entered the house, his mother and father were waiting for him in the living room.
