Lara did not expect Davina's actions to go that far to tackle him.
"I've never been involved in any prostitution, sir. I'm framed. I swear I've never done anything so low" Lara said, trying to clarify.
"Did you know that you were already in the headlines on the internet this morning, Lara? And the uploader also stated that you are studying at this university with a scholarship program," replied the lecturer.
"W-what???" said Lara was shocked and the lecturer showed the news about Lara on the internet.
"And a lot of people are blaspheming our university because we don't give scholarships to the right students" the lecturer said.
Lara is speechless because many of her photos are scattered in cyberspace. Although maybe Lara's face is not too visible, but in the news the name Lara mentioned very clearly.
Lara clasped her hands tightly.
"Is there no chance for me to explain this matter because I'm innocent in this. I was framed by someone who didn't like me because I passed the scholarship with perfect test scores" Lara pleaded.
"Sorry, Lara. There is too much evidence that cannot be denied" replied the lecturer.
Lara looked down lethargic and she could not speak anymore. His world seemed to be shattered instantly. Her dream that had been waiting for her disappeared from her grasp suddenly.
Her happiness only turned out for a moment. He didn't think Davina was that cruel to him. And Lara will come to Mr. Wilson because of this. He didn't want to sit back and wait for the miracle to come.
"I'm going to come here again and bring proof that I never did that" Lara said.
"No, Lara. Do not come here again because maybe your appearance on this campus will be a problem for us later," said the lecturer.
Lara fell silent and finally left after the lecturer told her to leave quickly. Lara's mind became muddled because of this. But he still went to work because it was an obligation for him.
Lara tried to be indifferent and headed straight for the dressing room to change her clothes with a uniform. He looked at Beatrix who had just finished changing her clothes.
"Hi Beatrix," said Lara.
Beatrix turned her head and approached Lara.
"I'll return your money as soon as possible. I didn't think the money was prostitution and I already used it. You shouldn't have lent it to me, Lara" Beatrix said.
Lara was so surprised by Beatrix's words.
"I'm not a whore, Beatrix. And the news is rubbish. I was framed by someone who hated me" Lara replied.
"Alright, Lara. No need to give. I understand you're in trouble and you're living alone so you definitely need extra money for your living expenses" said Beatrix, who then exited the locker room leaving Lara alone glued there.
Lara did not expect Beatrix's attitude to change 180 degrees because of this. No, not Beatrix. All of Lara's co-workers look bad at Lara. They seem to judge Lara as a teenage prostitute who peddles herself for the needs of her life.
Until finally the boss called him and tried him over the photos of his shur widely circulated on the internet because in the news also mentioned that Lara worked at the restaurant.
