The next morning, Robert's extended family gathers at the dinner table including Davina. His head looked bandaged.
"What's wrong with your head, Davina?" ask Velvet who's right across from her seat.
"I fell down last night" Davina replied smiling.
"Oh God ... Hope you get well soon" said Velvet.
Phoenix was just watching him from where he was sitting. Breakfast was relaxing and they were all going back to New York this afternoon.
Afterwards, Phoenix follows Rey to her study because she wants to talk to her daddy about something.
"What's wrong? Is it a business problem?" ask Rey.
"Daddy knows something, doesn't he? Daddy always checks the background of someone we're going to do business with, including Lara" Phoenix replied.
"Hmm, daddy will only watch over her as long as it's within reasonable limits" Rey said.
"Tell me what really happened to Lara and Davina in the past?" ask Phoenix to the point because he does not like the obscurity that will make everything runyam and misunderstand.
"What you've caught from Davina's attitude all along is inversely proportional to her attitude towards Lara. Daddy knows that everyone makes mistakes and has the right to change his attitude. Davina tried that and didn't want to do it again. But not with Lara who has a big gaping wound in her heart to Davina."
"Daddy hasn't answered my question yet" Phoenix said.
"Lara was once framed by Davina by telling someone to sexually abuse her. And Lara was almost raped because of it. The man photographed Lara in a vulgar pose and Davina uploaded it to the internet. That's what made Lara expelled from the university and her scholarship was revoked. Lara was considered a child prostitute and even she was expelled from her workplace" Rey replied.
"What???? Davina did all that?" Speechless phoenix heard this reality.
"You know how Mr Silas knew Lara? At that time Lara wanted to crash herself into Mr. Silas' car driving on the highway," Rey continued, which left Phoenix speechless.
"We can't judge Lara right now, Phoenix. We are in a big dilemma. We already consider Davina family and her mistakes in the past are indeed very fatal. Lara could have done a cruel thing to Davina because Davina was the center of all the problems that happened to Lara first," Rey sat leaning against the big table and folded her arms.
"What does daddy mean? What cruel thing would Lara do?" ask Phoenix.
"The man Davina told to harass Lara was still in the hospital with his legs slightly broken and will be disabled for the rest of his life. He is a pretty famous male model now. Because of that, making him lose all his jobs and his life slumped," continued Rey.
Rey has quite a lot of connections, so it's not difficult to find information about Lara even what crimes she has committed even though the crime has been closed cleanly by Lara.
