Velvet pulls Lara's hand into Phoenix's apartment. Lara smiled along with Velvet. Velvet is a person she loves very much because she used to always keep Lara in prison.
Now they were gathered in the vast and wide central room of Phoenix.
"Will you go to my apartment?" asked Lara kindly and a very soft voice. That certainly made Phoenix a little surprised because it was not the Lara he had known all along. Or is this Lara's real face? Phoenix is confused.
"No, dear Lara. We're just here. There are many of my family here. Let me introduce one by one," replied Velvet rubbing the beautiful face of her little sister.
Then Lara introduced all her extended family including Davina.
"And that's Davina. She's a close friend of Phoenix's" Lara said.
"They know each other, honey," Galy told Velvet.
"Oh yeah?" velvet asked Lara and Lara only smiled faintly.
"When is my brother here?" tanya Lara switched the conversation.
"Tomorrow my brother has returned to New York" replied Velvet.
"So you live in New York?" ask Lara again.
"Yes, play at my house sometime. Isn't it close to here?" Velvet.
Lara nodded enthusiastically and smiled widely.
"Oh my God ... You're so pretty, honey. Your eyes are getting blue and your hair is getting longer. You're 26, aren't you?" Velvet cupped Lara's cheek.
"Yes" answered Lara.
"That means we haven't seen each other in 16 years. Ooohhh I miss you, my sweet sister," said Velvet who hugged and rubbed Lara's back again.
Then Velvet let out her tears remembering Lara's miserable life first. This time they seem to be the center of attention at the Phoenix birthday show as everything looks towards Velvet and Lara who are letting go of her longing.
"Hey ... Brother don't cry. Aren't we anti-crying?" said Lara gently and wiped Velvet's tears.
Velvet smiled at Lara's words.
"Have you lived well all this time?" ask Velvet.
Lara just nodded and smiled back.
Velvet's question lets everyone finally know that Lara and Velvet met in child prison.
"I ... I ..." Lara gave no answer and just hung up.
"Not answer it. Brother understood," Velvet clasped Lara's hand.
Lara did not want her sad story to be clearly exposed in front of the Velvet family. He felt embarrassed and would look weak if he revealed it.
"Darling ... Let's get Lara to eat too. The food is ready" Galy said.
"Well, Mom," Velvet replied and pulled Lara's hand towards the dining room followed by the rest of her family.
Now they all chat with each other on different topics while enjoying the delicious food provided by Galy.
Velvet and Lara were chatting together near the balcony. Lara seemed to smile and laugh throughout the story with Velvet. Phoenix saw that even though he was chatting with Damon and Rey-his daddy.
"You're working with him, Phoenix?" ask Damon.
"Yes, daddy recommended it" Phoenix replied.
"I've heard the story from Velvet. That means she's a great woman who can get to this position" Damon said.
"Yes, he is indeed very smart and genius, Dam," Rey replied.
"His life used to revolve around the streets - orphanages - and child prisons. That's what Velvet told me. Seeing it like this definitely made Velvet sad as well as happy. He was originally from California" Damon tells.
"Maybe Mr. Silas adopted her so she could turn out like this. But I remember Davina's words where her father also raised her to be his foster child" Rey said.
"Mr Silas? So he was found by Mr Silas? I know Mr. Silas very well. He's a very picky person in working together especially to be his confidant. Believe me, Phoenix, that means you've got a brilliant business partner" Damon said.
Davina who happened to be also sitting near them seemed to hear the conversation. Davina tried to suppress the envy that suddenly arose in her heart.
He wants to make peace with his past between himself and Lara. But there is fear in her heart if Lara will become the darling of this family as it had happened to her father who loved Lara very much.
