BECOME AN ANTAGONIST

After dinner, Lara rests again. Phoenix stayed by his side and went nowhere.

They are both in the room. And the Phoenix hugged her body from behind and gently rubbed her stomach.

"I want to disappear for a while. I'm not leaving you. Let me just go for a minute. Just temporarily, I promise," said Lara slowly.

Phoenix stopped the movement of her hand in Lara's stomach.

"If you want to go, go with me. I'm not gonna leave you alone. I wouldn't be able to think if you were far away from me" Phoenix replied.

"I'll follow all you want. I promise," Phoenix continued in a soft voice.

Yeah, Lara knows if this is going to happen too. Another slow Phoenix would definitely follow his will.

But now all he had in mind was wanting to disappear from all his problems.

She wants her baby to grow up healthy. Lara doesn't want to be selfish. She wants her baby to be healthy and born safely without any constraints.

Lara won't lose the baby. This is what he wanted long ago. Have a family. Lara didn't want to lose her only flesh and blood.

Lara began to bend her body and hide her face under her arms.

Lara wanted to cry but she was too proud to do so. She did not want to be considered weak and crybaby even by her Phoenix-husband.

Lara held it until her body shook and the Phoenix felt it.

Phoemix hugged him. She knew Lara was at her bottom emotional point.

"Cry if you want to cry. Crying can sometimes lighten your load" whispered Phoenix.

Lara hasn't cried in too long. But her pregnancy made her too mellow.

Phoenix felt Lara starting to open up to him a little. Phoenix wants to know more about Lara from Lara's own mouth, not from someone else's story.

Phoenix rubbed Lara's arm without saying anything because Lara just wanted to be heard.

"I don't like to talk about my old life. I don't want to sell my sad story just to get people's sympathy. I'm against things like that because I don't like being pitied. My pride is too high that many people think I'm arrogant" Lara continued.

"I don't want to look weak in anyone's eyes. I am strong, I cannot be weak because I am alone in this world. That's what's always running through my brain. The words of Velvet's sister have always been my reference to stay alive."

"You're not alone now. Me and my family are your family" Phoenix said at last.

"No, I haven't felt that way yet" Lara replied.

"We're going to leave for a while from here" Phoenix said.

Lara did not answer anything and now just fell silent.

"I want us to get to know each other better. Honestly, I don't know you very well. Our relationship runs so fast that we don't know each other at all.

Long time no talk, until finally Lara and Phoenix were both sound asleep.

Lara was so comfortable with Phoenix's hand rub in her hand that it put her to sleep.

Velvet who had been outside the door of the Phoenix room seemed to be listening to their conversation.

Not intending to eavesdrop, but he just wanted to make sure that Lara was okay and there were no more problems with Phoenix.

Velvet slowly closed the door of the slightly opened Phoenix room and turned towards her room which was next to exactly the Phoenix room.
