Brakes

Arya kicked the table because of emotion. Arya is so upset that she has to get tired of fighting real thugs in order to save Cindy and her son.

Plaques

Arya slaps the cheeks of her men who are assigned to look for thugs but instead fails.

"Stupid, why don't you come?" Arya squeezed her hair out of frustration.

"Sorry our boss got the wrong address" he replied.

"You guys even though I told you to follow that woman from her house" Arya growled.

"I'm sorry we're bosses" said his men in fear.

"You see this, my face is battered by having to fight them." Arya pointed at his bruised face from the thugs. His men did not dare to raise their faces.

...***...

"Where do you know Arya from?" Devon asked suspiciously.

"Oh yesterday he was the one who helped Cello when he was about to get hit by a motorbike on the street."

"What's? how could he have almost been hit?" Devon asked in panic.

"He ran because he didn't want to be invited home" Cindy replied.

"That's all?" Ask Devon.

"No, I've met him three times already" Cindy replied honestly.

"So that was the second?" Obviously Devon thought the second one was because the third one they met while fighting against the thugs earlier.

"No, the second I met him at the restaurant. He paid my meal bill" Cindy replied honestly.

"Why can he pay your meal bill?" Devon was almost crazy to hear his wife's answer.

"You know, I don't bring cash, I think that carrying the card you gave me is enough, it's not enough balance" Cindy said bluntly.

Devon forgot to say that it was a debit card not a credit card. "I'm sorry I should have told you it was a debit card. I didn't check the last balance. The possibility of staying is a little because I made it to buy the company's necessities as well" Devon replied.

"Yes, I was also wrong to buy expensive food when our finances are difficult now." Cindy looked down because she felt guilty.

Devon lifts Cindy's chin. "Are you sad because I'm poor now?" Devon asked his wife for an honest answer.

Cindy shed tears. "Do you doubt my love? Even you used to pretend to be poor more than this I can still accept you for who you are."

Devon hugged his wife tightly. "I'm sorry, baby, I thought you could turn your back on me" Devon said.

"I will only turn away if you turn first" Cindy threatened. Remembering the past that once happened between Devon and Lisa makes it hard to forgive A

her husband when it happened again.

"Promise dear," said Devon with a smile.

"Oh yeah I'll go back to the office if there's any phone call me, while your car will be fixed in the workshop. You can take a taxi if you're going anywhere" Devon said, handing Cindy a wad of money.

Cindy looked at him. "What is this mas?"

"Handle to you, use it well."

"But how do you get this kind of money isn't our finances being tough?" Cindy did not believe it.

"You don't need to know, baby, I'm leaving first."

"You're not involved in gambling, are you?" Cindy shouted but it seemed like her husband was ignoring her talk.

Devon ordered an ojek online. He will take a ride to the office. However, before he took off his suit and put it on his arm.

"Sir Devon?" Ask the driver to make sure. He was afraid of wrong people because the one who ordered his motorcycle was so neat with a suit.

The driver gave it to him nervously. Then Devon climbed into the driver's trunk. "Road sir," Devon commands the driver.

The driver held a smile as he got an unusual passenger.

When they stopped at the red light someone shouted at Devon. "Not wrong, famous hotel owners can ride an online motorcycle taxi, where is the luxury car?" The guy's crush on Devon.

Devon pretended not to listen. But the driver knew that the man he was talking about was Devon.

"Don't listen sir. It's better to pretend you don't know him" the driver told Devon. Devon was overwhelmed.

"Thank you" he answered softly.

Although embarrassed but this is the only way to get to his office. Bayu could not be counted on to drive him because he was driving his personal driver to the hospital.

"I can't go down just because of one innuendo. The talk can't hurt my skin so I don't have to fuss over something this small. Although my heart was hurt hearing his words," inner Devon encouraged himself.

"It's over, sir" said the driver.

"Here's the money" Devon gave me a red note.

"But I don't have any change sir."

"Take it, sorry to give you a few tips. Thank you for driving me," Devon said sincerely.

"So you're the owner of this great hotel?" Ask the curious driver.

Devon nodded as he answered the driver's question. The driver was proud to deliver a large company owner with his tail motor.

Devon then gets into the elevator. But a foot stuck on the elevator door. "Tommy," said Devon.

"I can't believe a Devon got on an ojek to get to his office" Tommy said.

"If you want to insult me, I have no problem. I will make it my booster. I was ready to be insulted when I fell poor. That way I know which friends to fight against" Devon said with great affirmation.

Tommy laughed at Devon's words. "So you consider me an opponent?" Ask Tommy.

"depends."

"Depends what?" Tommy asked confusedly.

"Would you help me or not?" answer Devon.

"You mean buy some of your remaining shares?" Guess Tommy.

"Intelligent," praised Devon.

"Damn, you little sycophant."

"By the way, do you know the name Arya?" Ask Devon seriously. Now they're in Devon's office. Today Tommy is back discussing work at Devon's office.

"I heard the rumors. He said he bought most of your shares when the company was still far from ours" Tommy said.

"Then do you think he planned the destruction of your company?" Ask Tommy later.

"Finally, I thought so, too. You know he's approached Cindy three times."

"What's approaching your wife?" Tommy is shocked to hear Devon's words.

"Yes, where there's a coincidence of meeting up to three times if Cindy meets him every time there's a problem."

"For example?"

"First, he saved my son who was about to get hit, then paid my wife's bill at the restaurant, and lastly helped her when bullied by thugs."

Tommy laughed when he heard it. "Damn you think I'm bragging," said Devon.

"You're just jealous of your friends and you're making up such a detailed story" Tommy accuses.

"Forgot nothing I told you at length," Devon chirped in annoyance while Tommy was content to see Devon's annoyed face.
