013. SWORDTRAINING

I was surprised and confused as to how I captured it because the sword came from a different direction unlike when I was training with a wooden rod. The log last night I threw it up and I caught it from that direction like now. I chose to dodge that sword because if I failed to catch it it would definitely split me in two.

“What the fuck? You want to kill me?” angry seruku.

“Why? Something wrong?”

“Night I practiced catching from above not from a direction like that.” I replied.

“Then now you will practice catching the sword I threw and try to catch it with one of your hands because I will throw these two swords without any time lag.”

“Well I'll try.” I said.

At night I rested and lay down when the plane came. Gumi notices the treasure hole when the plane throws objects into the treasure hole. Not long after his friends came as usual to take the firearms. Suddenly, I heard a lot of footsteps approaching. I turned towards Gumi who looked seriously paying attention towards the treasure hole. The men were bluffing to tell them to hand over the weapons. Nem, who was carrying a rifle, tried to fire at them but two men managed to snatch the rifle before they managed to do so. The herd of thugs besieged five women who remained relaxed looking. I know this is not a good situation but why do they still not feel afraid? The man numbered twenty-three people while they were only five.

“Remember not to use those firearms. You guys understand?” exclaim Nem. Definitely what the firearms mean are firearms that have just been thrown in the plane into the treasure hole.

The fight began. Gumi along with his four colleagues tried to defeat the herd of criminals. But they are outnumbered. Gumi and the others managed to bring down seven people but things have not improved. They still had to defeat the sixteen other giant-bodied men who still looked not exhausted. Seeing the fight scared me. I was shaking and cold sweat came out from all over the pores in my body. I have to help them but how? What if I get killed? I can't die right now.

I'm silent because I don't want to serve the ravings of Gumi at this time. I was busy avoiding the man who attacked me. There was no time to listen or respond to Gumi's rant right now. I dodged the man until my sword fell. The man took my sword and swung his sword at me. I closed my eyes but heard gunshots many times. I opened my eyes and the man fell to the ground. It turned out that Nem managed to take back his rifle and fired at the criminals quickly, mercilessly. I tried to catch my breath gasping with fear.

“You're okay, right?” Gumi helped me stand up.

“You're still with the kid?” tanya Nem approached us. “Yet your work here is over. You want to get him into college, right?”

Gumi smiled at Nem. “Knowledge yes?” gumi scratched his head while laughing.

“Of course.” replied Gumi lightly. “No need to worry I won't trouble you”

“Of course you should worry. You just graduated.” timpal Nem walk away to the car. “Mother was so loud, you couldn't possibly persuade her. Don't consider yourself special because you graduated faster than us.” cried Nem while speeding away with his car leaving us.

“I am indeed special than them.” muttered Gumi with an annoyed face.

Gumi's time of duty guarding the treasure pit ended. I asked her to stay in the old hut where I used to live. When we got there Jatnera was still not there. Being in that place made me remember my life. I had to fight for food when Isbell left me and Jatnera. It makes me feel sad and always cry when I remember it. I really miss Jatnera. I want to meet him now. If only he had, I would have invited him to come to Poegriye Island.

I sat there watching the necklace of the boy inside the hut. While Gumi was outside doing nothing. I still have two weeks left before taking the entrance exam to Gyeld Enn Chourius College. I have to pass that entrance exam because there won't be a second chance. After graduating from there I will definitely leave this country to meet the boy to return his necklace.

“What are you doing?” ask Gumi who walked in and put a jar filled with drinking water. “Whose necklace is this?” Gumi took it from my hand.

“Sometimes later I want to return it to its owner.” I replied.

“So not your necklace?” Gumi looked at. “Better you keep this necklace and do not take it to Poegriye Island.”

“Why?”

“If you make a mistake, they will take your precious things. It was a punishment of the heart.” explained Gumi. “And I tell you not to be friends with anyone there, if you don't want to regret.”

“What does it mean?”

“Don't assume the other kid is your friend before you actually graduate, understand?”

“I don't understand. What does it mean?”

“Listen to my words if you don't want to regret.”

“Alright.” replied. “Gumi, why did you take those weapons from the treasure hole and why are so many weapons thrown in the treasure hole?”

“Actually this is a secret, so do not tell anyone about this yes.” Gumi said seriously. “The weapons were deliberately brought to this place for us by a body in a free country there. If you ask me why I won't answer.”
