DEAPECTRUMS
005. RESCUERS

Arriving behind the luxury hotel I was silent for a moment to think about how I could enter quietly because there were so many people in black and armed uniforms at each entrance. I walked down the street beside the hotel entrance fence and saw a hole in the bushes the size of my body. I was thinking maybe this was the entrance for me because my body would have been able to pass through those narrow bushes.

But how was it when I entered there were already guards guarding the area. I took a stone and threw it inside over a three-meter-high fence filled with bushes.

There's no movement in there, it means there's no one there. Fast-moving I crawled into the courtyard of the hotel through a two-meter-long shrub.

My body ached from being pierced by thorns from the bushes but I came out safely.

There are no guards in here. I again scanned my surroundings to find the entrance to this building that stood majestically before me. At a distance of twenty meters there was a white door made only of ordinary wood. It must be the entrance for the slaves.

Without thinking again I headed for the door with a quick movement but did not make any sound. I was really lucky because the door was unlocked. Whether because it was deliberately not in the key or because of the carelessness of someone who did not lock it but certainly I was really lucky, surely Isbell was the one who had opened the door for me.

I threw my head into the room through that door, it turned out that this door went straight to the kitchen, and there was no one there, I was really lucky. I quickly went into the kitchen and looked for food there.

The delicious aroma coming from an oven made me instantly tempted but I couldn't pick it up because I didn't understand how to open it. Then I turned to a big trash can and found a lot of bread with various shapes and flavors in the dirty place. I grabbed a plastic bag and put the bread in it. Not all I input suddenly sound footsteps two people.

"Why is the door open?" A woman's voice made me quit my activities. "You didn't close it?"

"So I closed it." Reply to a man who entered with the woman.

Foolish of me, I should have known that the slaves had started to come this early. It should have been an unlocked door and a baking oven for bread was enough for me to be careful. I must have been found out and they must have killed me. What am I supposed to do now?

No, maybe the two slaves would have been willing to give this trash to me.

"Who are you?" Ask the boy. The two slaves found me who was silent.

"You're going to steal, right?" Said the slave girl.

"I just want to take—"

"Hurry and catch him!" The slave girl did not care what I wanted to say. "If they find out there's a thief coming in, they're gonna kill us! Arrest and kill the boy before the guards know!"

Hearing the words of the slave girl I immediately ran without direction, the important thing is that I have to avoid the two slaves because they will kill me.

They chased me with a knife they took from the kitchen. I kept running up the stairs hoping they would get exhausted. Although my run was fast but it seemed like the two of them were unyielding probably also because they were afraid that the guards would know their carelessness so that my existence threatened their lives.

I can get away from their pursuit even though they are still chasing. I walked down the long hallway when in the opposite direction I heard the sound of someone's footsteps while the two slaves were still chasing me in the opposite direction.

I hid beside the wall that was leaning forward so that the two slaves did not see me and there was an expensive urn next to me. The jar covered me from the guard's sight, but the two slaves would definitely find me and kill me. Finish my story now. Jatnera forgive me.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Suddenly the door behind me opened and a boy appeared whose face was not unfamiliar.

The boy looked in both directions the passageway which in one direction the two slaves had already started to look, was beginning to look, the two slaves walked slowly and hid the knife they were carrying because in the opposite direction a guard carrying a rifle was walking.

Suddenly the boy pulled me into his room. I stood behind the door in the boy's room in relief, though still a little bit of a concern.

"Young master did you see a daughter?" There was the sound of a slave woman at the door.

"What's this about? What happened young master?" I heard a voice I just heard, I guess it was the gunman. "Remember your status!! It is forbidden to talk..."

"It's okay, I'm hungry and I intend to ask for food to the kitchen but they happen to pass by." The boy's speech sounded very calm like there was nothing he was hiding.

"Oh then shall we prepare the young master." Answer the boy.

"Go quickly! What are you waiting for!?" The guard gripped with ferocity.

After that the boy who just saved my life closed the door. He looked at me without making a sound made me a little misbehaved because he did not understand the purpose of his gaze.

Maybe I should leave now because I don't want to make Jatnera worry about me. But in front of the blue-eyed boy and the caramel colored hair, I was unable to move even just by winking.

"You're the tree girl, right?" The boy's voice surprised me a little.

I scrunched my forehead because I did not understand the meaning of his words. Is that a tree girl? Suddenly I remembered the day I saw her.

That night he opened the car window and stared at me. I didn't think he actually saw me. Even though if he saw from his flat expression at that time, he seemed not to see my existence.

It was only fitting that he could speak like there was nothing he had hidden in the two slaves and guards. Maybe that's his talent.

"What did you bring?" The boy snatched the plastic bag with the bread I picked up from the trash. He picked up a dusty and incomplete doughnut from the bag, then walked up to the trash and put the food in the trash.

Seeing what he did made me shocked and wanted to shout forbid it but the boy's smile undoes my intentions.

"I'll get you some new food."

After saying so the boy came out of the room leaving me alone. I, alone in the room, looked around, every corner of this room. Really fancy. I've never been in a place like heaven before.

That kid is really lucky if I can take his place.
