017. FIRST DAY IN COLLEGE

We went back to our room after dinner to sleep. Tomorrow we have to get up at five in the morning to run around the island. I lay down on my bed with some relief to sleep well tonight. I'm grateful for that. I didn't have to worry about the herd of criminals who could have come while we were asleep. I tried to close my eyes and rest.

“Bee, you haven't slept, have you?” Cleve exclaimed, his head sticking out from above looking at me. I opened my eyes to see it. “So your mentor is Gumi?” After speaking as soon as Cleve got off his bed and climbed up my bed. “It was great. Gumi is the youngest graduate of the college. And the nature is also fun, so told Nem.”

“Mentormu Nem?” I wake up from a sleeping position.

“Yes. Nem found me while I was crying in the woods because my older brother left me two months ago.” Cleve. “At that time Nem was looking for a girl who would be enrolled in this college. For two months I learned to shoot like Nem.”

“So you can shoot? That's great.” My word. “Where is your father?” My toot. I remember Cleve telling me that his father was a funny man.

“The day before my older brother left he went to the treasure pit but never came back again. My brother said he was killed by a herd of criminals who shot him many times.” Cleve answered with a sad face.

I remember a man who was shot by a herd of criminals when I went to the treasure pit. The man gave me the bread he had hidden under his shirt. Maybe he was Cleve's father.

“Come tell us about your life Bee.” Pinta Cleve by holding my arm.

“I was taken care of by a grandmother named Isbell, and I had a sister named Jatnera that Isbell picked up. He's three years younger than me. After Isbell died I lost Jatnera to my stupidity. It was also then that I met Gumi in the treasure hole. I asked Gumi to teach me how to take care of myself.”

“What did you learn from Gumi?” Ask Cleve. “Gumi is great at hand-to-hand fights because it has incredible speed and is very adept at using boomerang”

“That's right, therefore I can't beat him.” My speech. “Gumi told me to study swordsmanship because at this college no one has really mastered it.”

“Medium? That's great Bee. So you can use the sword?”

“Can you guys not be quiet? We want to sleep stupid.” Excited Tiffany who slept in the hose two beds from us.

Cleve and I just laughed a little in response.

“Bee, let's teach me to read.” Cleve. “This book about what?” Cleve picked up my favorite book called The Beauty of the World that was beside me.

“This book about the beauty of the world. Inside are some very beautiful places all over the world. Let me teach you how to read.”

At five o'clock in the morning our new students gathered in the field for a morning run. Actually I still feel sleepy and still want to sleep because last night I really slept comfortably. If Cleve didn't wake me up maybe I'd still be asleep and get punished for not following the schedule.

Our eighteen new students are ready to wear our sportswear. Cleve and I chose to sit down because the teacher who will lead us has not come yet.

“Include me is the person in charge of this new class. My name is Wendy.”

There came a woman with red hair and long shoulder-length curls. The woman was young and her age must have been around thirty to thirty-five years.

“Okay Wendy, what should we do now? Running?” Cleve asked who immediately stood up when Wendy came over.

“OK so as not to waste any more time let's run.” Wendy. “You are required to run every morning around this island. Don't forget eight o'clock you'll be in class so try to run behind me so as not to fall behind into class.”

We all ran after Wendy. I didn't know how big Poegriye Island was until we had to run around it. But after running for almost an hour I started to feel tired. Some of the children were also far behind. I'm looking for Cleve who's behind me. Cleve was with a girl who was falling. I ran backwards to them.

“What's up, Cleve?” My toot.

“His leg sprained we can't leave it.” Cleve replied while helping the narrow-eyed girl stand up. “Come help me, Bee..”.

I immediately grabbed the girl on the left while Cleve on the right. After that we ran to try to chase the others. But the distance is still too far even I don't know how much longer it will run.

I was already feeling tired but Cleve looked more exhausted. I'm used to running long distances. It's best that I pick up this sprained daughter and let Cleve run without having to pay. Cleve really looked exhausted.

“Cleve, let me clean it up. You just run. Your face is pale.” My speech.

“It's okay, Bee, I'm still strong.” Answer Cleve.

I stopped running and changed positions. I'm halfway between Cleve and the girl whose legs are sprained, I'll get them both at once. Cleve just smiled at what I was doing.

After running for almost two hours we finally got back to college. Some kids are still behind us. Wendy told the injured of us to go to the clinic.

Soon I brought Cleve and the girl whose name I didn't know yet to the clinic. It turned out that four other children were already in the clinic and Tiffany was one of them.

Immediately I laid Cleve and the girl whose leg was sprained. The two women in white clothes looked extremely busy due to their impromptu patients. I chose to leave the room to go straight to class even though the class starts in an hour.

Three children who looked pale on papah by other girls entered the clinic when I came out. I walked through the hallway while paying attention to some of the classes in which the upper-level students were watching their teacher.

My throat is hot from running. I have to drink right away otherwise I'll get strep throat.

Suddenly Ian walked towards me with a bottle of drink. He looked at me and immediately thrust the bottle at me.

For a moment I looked at Ian who was standing in my presence. He even pushed the bottle of drink he brought to me. I took it, and then he left before I could say thank you.
