I have decided that I will continue to fight in this college even though I will become a murderer. I must survive, yes, I must survive and must not die because I must meet the boy again to return the necklace I stole from him.
And I have to survive because one day I will leave Deapectrum and live free somewhere. Archie Island, I will stay there after I leave this land of exile, because whatever I have to do I will survive even if I have to be a murderer.
With Cleve, I visited a girl whose name we still don't know at the clinic.
It seems that the boy has no friends therefore Cleve and I will be his friends here.
The narrow-eyed kid looked happy when we came. He smiled at us making his eyes seem closed.
“How's your leg?” asked Cleve who was sitting on the side of the girl's bed.
“It has improved,” he replied.
“Oh yes, introduce my name Cleverlly, but just call Cleve, and this is Bee,”. “What's your name?”
“My name is Marchi,” he said with a smile.
“Good Marchi, you don't have any friends yet, do you? Then we will be your friends,” Cleve smiled kindly.
At about three in the afternoon we went back to the dormitory. I lay on my bed while Cleve was still trying to learn to read. There are only a few children in the room and are doing their own activities while Tiffany with her three friends named, Kara, Rhoda, and Svelya are out of nowhere.
I hope they don't beat up Ian like they did last night.
“Bee, who is that guy?” cleve asked me to look at him sitting next to me lying down. “The person who said he would change this place for the better, who is that person?”
“I don't know who he is,” I replied with a straight look up, down the bed that Cleve was sleeping in. “The boy helped me who was about to die. He said so with great confidence, even he was sure to see me again.”
“Where is that boy? Is he not like us?”
“No. He's so different. He did not need to fear being killed as many guards were guarding him. Even everyone listened to his words. He's a kid from a free country.”
“Then where is he now?”
“When I wanted to meet him to return this thing, he had already left Deapectrum,”, I said as I showed him the necklace I took from the pocket of my pants.
“This is the boy's necklace?” Cleve took the necklace and noticed it.
“Gumi forbade me to bring the necklace here for fear of punishment of the heart, but I cannot leave it because this thing is very precious to me.” I replied.
“Ka...then so quickly hide and do not let anyone see!” exclaimed Cleve thrust the necklace back into my hand and I immediately put it back into my pants pocket.
Cleve took a deep breath and lay down next to me. “Bee, is it okay if we kill?” cleve asked looking at me. “I don't know what to do, I don't want to be a killer but I don't want to get out of college and go back to my old life. I don't want to starve to death or be killed by criminals."
I turned towards Cleve who was looking up.
“Is there only two options to live here? Kill or be killed?” asked Cleve without changing his position.
The next day all the new students, back to follow the morning run but this time only a few students had to go to the clinic after running because they felt their strength drained.
Cleve managed to run to the end without feeling exhausted while Marchi still did not follow the morning run because his sprained leg could not move much.
We entered the class to take lessons like Wendy's instruction because today we will start learning.
“For the first lesson I will teach you how to read,” Wendy said.
I didn't pay much attention to him talking and looking out the window.
Ian was carrying a bucket full of water. Looking at it I recalled when I had to walk a long way with clean water for our drinking supplies.
“Who among you can read?” ask Wendy.
“Bee...” call Cleve but I'm still focused on watching Ian out there. “Bee do you hear me?”
Cleve made me wake up and looked at him questioningly.
“Reply reply!”
“What answer?” I don't understand Cleve's words.
“So no one can read?” Wendy spoke again.
“Can you really read, Bee?” Wendy looked at me. “Truly shocking. Yesterday you said you killed and now you can read. I didn't know you were lucky to have a mentor like Gumi, or Gumi was lucky to recommend you.”
Wendy began writing letters on a white board with an object called a marker by Isbell.
The letters were so familiar to me that this lesson bored me. Cleve who I've taught to read still seems serious about what Wendy taught. It seemed that Cleve really wanted to quickly learn to read.
“Wendy, I'm going to the toilet,”.
After Wendy nodded, I immediately walked out of the room. Actually I don't want to go to the toilet, I'm just tired of being in class.
I wanted to get around this college and noticed the fifth graders were practicing shooting in the spacious field behind the main building, the building we were studying in.
Some students shot right at the target that was placed at a distance of about fifty meters using a long barrel weapon that sounded very deafening.
After feeling satisfied I walked back to see the third level disciple who was holding an empty-handed fight in the inner field hall.
After being satisfied to pay attention to them I intend to return to class because I fear I will get a sentence if too long permission to go to the toilet.
I walked past the toilet at the end of the main building and saw Ian carrying two buckets of water he had just taken from the toilet.
Ian looked at me but threw away his eyes trying to get out of my way.
“Let me help you,” I urgently urge you to pick up the bucket you brought with your left hand.
He looked at me as if he was telling me not to do that.
“It's okay, let me help. Where are you taking him?”
Ian looked at me and immediately stepped up. I followed him from behind towards the small building located beside the back of the Gyeld Enn Chourius college.
When he reached the room that looked like a kitchen, Ian poured the buckets into a large jar.
Three women and one man in the room looked at me.
Ian walked out of the room and I followed him. He sat in a wooden chair in front of the building which was the kitchen.
I hesitantly sat down next to him who did not care much about what I was doing. We were silent for a moment.
I'm really confused as to what I should say. Ian can't talk so it's useless if I talk about something because he won't answer. But I wanted to be friends with him so we had to get to know each other.
“Your name is Ian, right?” I asked until he looked at me. He looked at me with his big green eyes. “I Bee...” I continued to make Ian smile. “I'm ten years old, and how old are you?”
I immediately realized that asking was impossible because he would not answer.
“Sorry, I shouldn't have asked," I said.
Ian suddenly moved from his seat to pick up a piece of wood that was underground after which he scratched the ground with the log. He made the number nine on the sand and it surprised me a lot.
“Ka...you can write?” I asked in surprise and Ian nodded in response. “Can you read too?”
My question is a little stupid because everyone who can write can read it too.
“Yeah this is really strange, why they take girls who can't read, while you can write and read,” I cried with a smile.
“Tian!!” There was a sound coming from the kitchen.
Ian looked at me and then ran away from me.
After Ian I rushed back to class. I left class for a long time with permission to go to the toilet. I'll definitely get punished.
I quickly ran towards the Gyeld Enn Chourius college. When I was about to enter the college gate my feet stopped running when I saw Mom, Bianca and Wendy were standing in front of the gate. Mom looks angry at me.
I'm sure I'll definitely get punished for my mischief. I did wrong and deserve to be punished.
Finish my history.
