Just like Ian said, Cleve and I followed Ian to the treasure hole. He asked us to look for objects that are still good and collect them according to the type of object.
Cleve and I did it without asking, but I'm sure there will definitely be another herd of criminals that will come like yesterday.
“At last you guys showed up too,” said Ian making me and Cleve stop with our busy lives and look at him who was outside the fence.
Nine criminals came unarmed and surrounded us.
“You want money right?” Ian asked the criminals.
“That's right, give us the money and we'll let you guys pick up the stuff in this place,” replied a bald-headed criminal.
“Then I have an offer for you,” said Ian walking closer to the bald-headed criminal. “How many of you? Must be over twenty people right?”
“What did you say?” Ask the criminal again. “We know that you killed our friends yesterday so we ask you carefully. If you guys pick up the stuff in the treasure hole at least give us the money.”
“I hope you receive the offer I will give you,” exclaimed Ian walked up to the bald-headed man casually and then held his shoulder. “I know you are the leader of all the gangs of criminals here. If you want money, how about you work for me?”
Cleve and I looked at each other as they were becoming less and less aware of what Ian was doing.
“What do you mean boy?” The man growled and put away Ian's hand that was on his shoulder. “You want to make us slaves? Are you tired of living?”
“No. Isn't that so, instead of slavery already removed?” Ian Refuting. “I've been looking for a good place to sell all those things, and have arranged for us to use the place. If you want money, work with us.”
“I don't understand what you're saying, it's best to say frankly everything without circling.”
“I want you to tell your men to sell things from the treasure hole in my place. And we'll halve the results. So I'm the one who provides the place and makes sure everything is safe while you're selling. Hows it? It's a good deal, so you don't have to kill to get the money. I know this place has never been visited by people so you don't have to fear dying of hunger if you cooperate with us.”
“Yang is right. You told us to sell all those things?”
“Yes it's true,” replied Ian. “But I won't force it if you don't want to. Let's go!” Ian shouted at both of us.
“Wait a minute!” The exclaim of the man who was the leader of the herd of criminals made Ian's steps stop. “The result will be split in two?”
Ian answered him.
“Are you sure that place is safe?” Ask the bald head again to make sure.
“Just calm down, and no need to worry about security issues, leave that to me. You just need to sell" Ian replied with complete confidence.
“Alright,” replied the man. “When do we start?”
“Tomorrow I will come back here,” replied Ian smiling.
Cleve and I could hardly believe Ian's idea of working with a gang of criminals. But it seems like a good idea, that way we will have the money to survive now.
“Where did you get that idea?” Cleve asked Ian when we returned to the inn.
“Are you sure it doesn't matter with the place? We do not have a business license,” said I sat on the other bed that is Ian's bed.
“Let's rest, last night I met the chief security officer at the place and got his permission on condition of giving twenty percent of the sale, so we'll get thirty percent. That's enough for the three of us to live here, right?” Ian said as he walked over to me and lay on the bed I was sitting on. “We will use the place at night to sell so as not to be too flashy. I'm sure for sure the black market is very useful for the exiles at Deapectrum.”
Almost three months the three of us left Poegriye Island. We are currently living in a small inn close to the treasure hole.
For two months we were getting money from the black market Ian was making, and working with the gangs of criminals who controlled the treasure hole.
The black market went on at night and it turned out to be going well. All those working dumpsters meet their needs, buying stuff from the black market at a bargain price.
Actually, Ian's idea is very good because then all parties benefit because of the black market.
And again our relationship with the herd of criminals is good. Moreover, Ian also gained the trust of the security forces who served in the black market.
During the day, the three of us helped the herd of criminals collect items in the treasure hole. And when night falls, we go to the black market to make sure the activities there run without obstacles.
This afternoon, I was at a diner with Ian for lunch. Cleve promised to come to eat with us, but until we finished eating he had not come.
Cleve must have met a security soldier he had known for almost a month. It seems Cleve likes the guy.
“Looks like he's not coming,” exclaimed Ian put a spoon up a plate. “Even last night he didn't come back, surely he was with the man and they spent the night together. Geez, Cleve really drove me almost crazy.”
“Do not talk like that. Looks like Cleve really likes Hansly,”.
“Look at it,” said Ian staring out a window made of glass.
Cleve and a man named Hansly were kissing without caring about the people around him.
“That's right, they were kissing on the street. They shouldn't do that in public. And I don't understand why Cleve likes the blond guy while he hates Tiffany the blonde in college.” Ian looked upset at Cleve's behavior. “I'm lucky to have you too, Bee.”
I smiled at Ian's words, and saw his annoyance at Cleve.
“I feel Cleve is not wrong,” I said as I looked at Cleve and his new lover making out.
“He made out in public and you said no wrong?”
“She has decided her new life, and I'm glad Cleve found the one who loves her,” I continued so Ian looked at me who was still looking out the window. “Isn't it better that you also look for someone?” I said with a one-way look at Cleve who was laughing happily.
Ian suddenly grabbed my hand on the table, making me look at him.
“How about you, have you found it?” Ian asked and I pulled my hand out of his hand. “Bee, I never know what's on your mind. But I'm sure that you're still thinking about that kid, right?” Ian looked me in the eye. “You think about that child all the time until you never see me. Am I right?”
