DEAPECTRUMS
032. SENSED HIS EXISTENCE

Ian's presence made me very surprised, let alone him coming by directly picking up a very precious necklace from my grasp. The necklace belongs to the boy I really want to meet right now.

Ian looked at the necklace with a frown. I don't know what he's thinking.

“L? Why is the locket the letter L? Your name is not at the beginning of this letter, is it?” Ian looked at me who saw him. “This isn't yours? You stole it, didn't you? Geez you really are a thief.”

“What do you mean?” I looked at Ian with a surprised face.

“Yes I'm sorry, you're not a thief.”

“Not it! You said this pendant was the initials of the owner's name?” I asked with a serious look.

Ian answered him.

“So you mean the person who has this necklace must have a name that starts with the letter L?” I asked again who finally thought of something.

Ian answered my question once more with a nod with astonished eyes at me.

Then the boy has a name that starts with the letter L. Why did I never think about it?

“What's up, Bee?” Ian finally asked me.

“Where's Cleve?” I asked who asked back.

“He still wants to take a walk outside, it seems he's happy to be here" replied Ian. “Bee, I want to ask you something,” said Ian as he pulled his gaze from my gaze. “I want to know who you want to meet when you say you want to leave Poegriye Island? Who do you call that kid?”

Hearing Ian's question, I did not answer him immediately, but rather took back the necklace in Ian's hand.

“You are right, I am indeed a thief,” I said directing my gaze out the window. “I stole this necklace from a boy.”

“So you want to return the necklace to the boy you stole?” Ian asked with a skeptical look at me. “You don't need to be that good until you return it, Bee.”

“No, I have to return it!” I still look out the window. “I stole from the boy when he saved my life. What kind of person returns milk with tubal water? I don't want him to hate me for stealing from him.”

“You don't know where he is?” Ian seemed to disagree with me. “Which is true, even you yourself are not sure if you will meet him again or not. So why give it back?”

“We will meet again—”

“You mean you and the kid promised to meet again?”

“Not so,” I said staring at Ian who from earlier kept looking at me. “The boy was sure that we would meet again and even he said that he would change this place for the better.”

“So you also thought that the boy had changed Deapectrum to what it is today?” Ian emitted a mistrust from his eyes. “This is like a joke, what can a child like us do? I really can't believe what you're saying, Bee.”

“The boy is different from us, Ian!” Excited with a little loud tone. “Everyone listens to his words and even he can ensure my safety.”

I took my breath after saying that and then looked out the window again.

“He's not a kid from Deapectrum like us. The boy came from a free country. Tell me, why would a free country boy come to this land of banishment?”

I turned to Ian who was staring at me from the start so we both looked at each other for a while because Ian didn't answer my question.

“What, is it true?” I asked Cleve who was still standing in front of the door.

“It seems they are important people because their car entourage is in the guard of security soldiers,” Cleve replied. “They all wear neat clothes and look different to us. There were about ten to fifteen cars. They really look cool,” Cleve continued.

Without a second thought I immediately ran out of the room leaving Cleve and Ian who looked puzzled looking at me.

I quickly ran out of the hotel past some people who were walking leisurely.

Outside the hotel was so crowded because there were so many people who crowded to see the car troupe that Cleve told.

I'm sure once the boy must have been one of the people Cleve saw, and he must have been in one of the cars that had walked away by now.

Like the first time I saw him, the boy was also in a car the night Isbell died. At that moment he saw my existence. So now I'm thinking of chasing after the car to see if the boy is there or not.

If he's in one of the cars and I can chase him, he'll see me.

I'm trying to chase the cars that are already running. Passed through the crowd with great difficulty and ran as hard as I could.

Finally I managed to chase the car at the very back and continued to run while watching the people in the cars.

But when I was about to get to the fourth car from behind a security guard stopped me. I stopped running because the security guard pushed me and tried not to chase the car anymore.

My legs felt so shaky and my heart was pounding. I tried to catch my breath after running.

The boy wasn't in all three cars from behind, but I'm pretty sure he was in one of the other cars.

If the security guard hadn't come to me, I would have found the boy. The boy had caramel colored hair and blue eyes, once I saw him I would have recognized him immediately.

“You okay, Bee?” Cleve came after me, Ian standing behind him. “We'd better get back to the hotel outside cold once.” Cleve grabbed me and walked over.

Cleve gave me a glass of warm milk when we got to the hotel room. He told me to drink it immediately but I just held it, to provide warmth in my palm with a still-stricken mind.

“If there is no security soldier, I am sure I will meet him,”.

“What do you mean?” Cleve stood in front of me, looking at me who was sitting on the side of the bed. “You mean the boy who owns the necklace is one of them? He was in that car?”

“She is not there,” exclaimed Ian who had just walked into the room. “I just asked the hotel clerk if there was a man of our age, and he said no one. They're just men around forty years old.”

“So no,” Cleve said.

“I also asked a security soldier about the purpose of the troupe and the answer was that they would leave Deapectrum. All because something happened, so they had to leave this place immediately.”

“Is that true?” My toot.

I felt that what Ian said was completely untrue. I don't know what feeling makes me sure that the boy is in one of those cars.

I can feel his existence earlier.
