Finally Meet Yohana

This morning, I had arrived at Soekarno Hatta International airport escorted by Riko. Before entering to check in, Riko slipped a thick brown envelope into my hand. I refused because I had enough of what they had given me. With Reni telling me where Yohana was I was so grateful. But said Riko, I will need it later during the trip because indeed we can not be sure whether everything will be smooth or there are obstacles. He will take you to the island of Fish where Yohana lives now. From the airport, we had to take a two-hour road trip, then to the island by boat for an hour. The chartered car also boarded the ferry boat. From there we had to travel overland for a few minutes to get to the place in question.

This island is actually not too big, its inhabitants are not up to a hundred KK. Until there, it is not difficult to find Yohana, especially he is not too fluent in regional languages.

"Before she died, my mother asked me to look for you. He wants to apologize from you, Han, so please come home." I said. "Reni and I have nothing to do. I've already finished everything. We're divorced and he'll let go if I come back here. He even asked me to bring you back. So please come with me, Han." My love.

"I can't, Ben. This is my place. My new life. I'm comfortable here. Mr. Hadi and his wife, the owner of the house, raised me to be their adopted son. They've done a lot for me. I can't just leave. You're late anyway, Ben. I've been lured by people!" Yohana showed a ring embedded in her ring finger.

I said that I immediately went up in black when I found out Yohana had been proposed to people and the person was the biological child of Mr. Hadi and Bu Hadi, Yohana's adoptive parents. "No, I can't accept this fact, Han. This is impossible. You have to cancel this engagement. You can't marry anyone but me!" I said.

"What does that mean, Ben. Did you forget, it is illegal to propose to someone who has been proposed to someone else. I can't betray that family anyway. They have been very good to me and will give a life that is no less good than before. My life's been so exhausting, Ben, I want to live quietly here."

"I don't care, I'll take you back to Depok, I'll never leave you again!" I said.

We had a discussion until suddenly someone came. The middle-aged woman who was accosted by Yohana's mother. She is Bu Hadi, Yohana's adoptive mother. I was introduced to a woman who claimed to have helped Yohana as her brother from Java. Ms. Hadi welcomed me well because she did not know that I and Yohana loved each other, which she knew was my family who nurtured Yohana since she was a child.

"Come, comein. Just a minute." Madam Hadi went inside, and she came out with a tray of two cups of warm tea and three dishes. There are boiled, fried beans and fried bananas. Very kindly, Ms. Hadi told me to taste her dishes, and then wondered about me and Yohana when I was a child. "We ... although the acquaintance of Yohana is still new but very fond of Johana. In addition to raising her as a child we also want to make Yohana as a daughter-in-law. She will be a new source of happiness in our family because she will be a wife to our only child." Said Bu Hadi, while Yohana just sat quietly while bowing her head. "Oh yeah, Ben tonight can stay here. Stay a few days until the wedding of Yohana and our son Rudi takes place." Said.

Actually I want to immediately refute Ms. Hadi's statement. But seeing that mother speak so passionately made me think of cutting her off. I needed reassurance from Johana before deciding what the purpose of my arrival was. "No need to ma'am, I spent the night at the inn at the entrance of the island. There are still drivers and chartered cars too, it's not nice to have to part with a good driver's father" I said. Indeed, I have decided not to return this chartered car, I will hold it so that we can go home together.
