What ghosts do pt1

Konoha, a week before Tomoka's trip to spider territory.

Moka-37 crawls around the Konoha library. The reason why he crawled instead of walking was simple. Currently he is in the form of a worm, even his wooden body is the same shape. Moka did not understand why the originals were so insistent that the library assigned ghosts to worms. Either way it does not really matter, and will become less important in a few days after the task is completed.

The Moka-37 mission is simple. Infiltrate Konoha's shinobi library and steal as much information as possible. Of course the original will not be satisfied with Konoha's public library so there are other ghosts who “borrow” information from each clan's library in Konoha.

The work was entirely boring, or at least that was what the original believed. Moka knows what boredom is because all ghosts share her knowledge with the original. However, unlike the original, they were unable to feel emotions, something they were all grateful for most of the time.

Most of the time Moka is active at night when it is less likely to get caught. He would peruse various books and ledgers then he would extract useful information, create catalogs, and store them in his original mental library. Until now the most useful thing he found was some scrolls about fuinjutsu.

Unfortunately, the amount of information about fuinjutsu stored in the scroll was very little. All he found were some basic theories and instructions in the creation of an explosive seal as a storage seal. Overall it is useful but basic. It was very sad that this was the most useful thing he found in the library because everything else was just a scroll on a basic jutsu.

Another gift, though less useful than fuin information, is the iryo ninjutsu scroll. Unfortunately it was just the basics and contained nothing about the mystic palm technique. If the original wanted that information then he would probably get it from Moka-34 who was in charge of "borrowing" the information from the senju.

If it's not clear now Moka's ghost series is Tomoka's intel gatherer. Their job is to infiltrate and gather information from all possible sources. They are also responsible for infiltration. Most if not all of them did not have humanoid bodies. Some, like nerds, take this nonhuman form as a joke.

Say, 17, when do you think we'll get another lead? 14 Feeling depressed. Although ghosts cannot feel emotions, they still act as if they have them. Ghosts have decided to create their own personalities using Tomoka's knowledge and act accordingly.

“I don't know, but this is the third base we found. The snake is really slippery.” 17 can only sigh in annoyance. Their mission does not have the highest priority but still disturbs the created 17 personalities.

The mission is simple: find and contact Orochimaru if possible. Damn to them, the snake was too slippery. The hidden base they found had been abandoned. Some of Orochi's subordinates still survived and they were aggressive. Therefore their team suffered fatalities.15 and 16 of their bodies were destroyed and removed again.

"Really, we could've found another headquarters if it wasn't for those two idiots who chose such a troublesome personality." 14 could only grumble as they continued to move.

The 16 chosen personalities are cool-headed fools. As for the 15-year-old he was a muscle-headed idiot. Therefore they would fight recklessly and would more often have their bodies destroyed. Worst of all was the reason they chose such a troublesome personality.

“Because we already have a depressed girl, and a nerdy girl then we need an athlete and an idiot to make things balanced!” That's what they say. Sometimes 14 wonders if the original has anything to do with the decision.

“Come, let's keep moving. Let's enjoy the serenity and silence while the two of them return here.” 17 said when he saw 14 distressed expressions. Hearing this, 14 had to agree.
