The painful truth

Tomoka's body felt heavy and her mind was dizzy. Despite having the best sleep of his life, the all-important fatigue of months of planning and nights cannot be cured with a night's sleep. Even so, she felt a blizzard as she hugged with her warm pillow. It felt so comfortable that he could not help but rub his cheeks.

"T-Tomoka, s-stop it, it tickles" A sweet voice attacked his ear, jerking his mind with awareness. Opening her eyes, Tomoka realized that she had rubbed her face against Nozomi's nape, like a cat marking their own.

"Sorry" Moving as fast as his tired body would allow, Tomoka broke away from Nozomi. Although while doing so he felt reluctant he did not want the situation to become more awkward.

“Erm, I know you must have a lot of questions so just ask. I'll answer honestly no matter what.” Tomoka hadn't thought of things until now. His only priority is to keep Nozomi safe. Now he must somehow explain things.

"Why are your eyes pink?" Nozomi stared straight at the pair of pink balls. They hypnotized him with extra disciples that constantly appeared and disappeared.

Tomoka who heard Nozomi's question was so confused that she realized she could see the aura of Nozomi's chakra. Her kinaga remained active all night while she slept! Panic attacks her mind because she is afraid Nozomi will find her kekkei genka creepy.

As the redhead focuses her gaze on Nozomi hoping to see fear or disgust, she instead finds attraction. Nozomi's eyes shone with curiosity and a tinge of longing that greatly confused Tomoka.

“Do you think they're creepy? or disgusting?”

"What's!? Nah! They're beautiful!" Surprised by Tomoka's question, Nozomi immediately replied.

T-thank you The sudden praise made Tomoka feel embarrassed and dizzy. Coughing to regain her composure, she decided to return to the original question.

“This is dojutsu. I call it kinagan. It allows me to see the chakra aura of people, objects, and anything else that might have chakra. It also allowed me to steal some for myself. I haven't told anyone else about it, not even my parents, so please keep this a secret, ” Tomoka replied honestly as she trusted Nozomi.

"Where are we? and why are we here?” After satisfying her curiosity for Tomoka's eyes, she decides to return to her sudden and mysterious situation.

“We were in a cave I designated as a safe place. Wh why? It will be hard to believe but know that all I am talking about is the truth” Tomoka's gaze is sad and uncertain. He did not know how to convey the news gently, so he decided to just do it.

"Klanmu, the Uchiha clan, has been massacred by the heir of the Itachi Uchiha clan under the orders of his superior Danzo the leader of a secret organization in konoha named root." Tomoka decided to tell things the way they are, not even hiding information that she shouldn't have.

Nozomi's mind went blank for a moment as she desperately tried to process the information Tomoka had just told her. He wanted to scream, call him a liar, he wanted to deny every word that came out of his mouth.

Although Nozomi was disliked by the clan members, he remained a part of the clan. Not to mention the non-shinobi from the clan treated him quite well. Being told that they were all killed is hard to believe.

“The reason why we are here is because I knew it before and did everything I could to protect you. Sorry I can't do more for your people” Tomoka chose her words carefully. He needs to handle the situation wisely so Nozomi won't hate him or his village, though the latter can be handled easily if that's the case.

“K-you know! Why don't you tell Hokague-sama! He could have done something about it!” More than anger, Nozomi felt confused. Why is!? Why didn't Tomoka help his clan?

“I didn't do it because things were going to get worse back then. Even if Hokage-sama stops the massacre, things will get worse. Do you know why patriarch Uchiha called all the clan members?” Nozomi simply shook her head before Tomoka continued.

"That's because he was going to announce the start of the coup" Hearing that, Nozomi's mind was completely blank. He wanted to scream, yelling that Tomoka was a liar. However, deep down she knew that Tomoka was telling the truth. Unable to cope with what he heard he fainted.
