In a random part of the forest inside Konoha, three girls stand in a gripping silence. Tomoka's heart rate had increased until she felt like she was about to crawl out of her mouth. The other two were not in a better condition than him.
“Alright, I have two secrets. I believe you two as my girlfriends have a right to know. One pertains to the village and the other is entirely mine. Which one do you want to hear first?” Tomoka said her words slowly and in a flat tone hid her nervousness.
After pondering over it for a while, Hinata took a step forward and spoke out which surprised the other two. Usually Hinata would hand over the decision making to the two of them so this one was the first.
"How about you tell us the first one involved the village because it might be less private than the others?" Even though he had gathered his courage and spoke in the end he was still the usual Hinata so it appeared as a suggestion.
"That sounds good" Nozomi said as she nodded.
“Alright, before I start, I want you, Nozomi, to stay calm and let me finish. It will be difficult for you but please understand. Therefore, I need to give you both a little history lesson.
After the war era when five great ninja villages were created, our first Hokage who wanted peace did the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. He caught a tailed monster that was a living creature made of a ton of chakra, totaling nine. He then proceeded to present them to another village as a sign of peace.
Each village holds two except Konohagakure who keeps the strongest of them, the kyubi. Since these ferocious beasts were alive, they had to be restrained or they would cause a lot of chaos. The solution to this problem is to seal them inside human containers known as jinchuuriki.
This is where my secret plays.. I am one of the two jinchuuriki here in Konoha.”.
Silence fell as the two girls permeated the information I had just given them. It didn't take long for Nozomi to connect the dots.
"Is ... what Kyubi attacked Konoha twelve years ago?" Nozomi's hand clenched her hand so tightly that she held it so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
"Yes though there are other circumstances in the show that's-"
"I'll explain everything, take it easy, okay?"
Hinata is feeling a little left out at the moment, but she understands this is important for Nozomi. After all, Hinata had lost her mother not long ago. After Hanabi's birth, Hinata's mother contracted an unknown illness. When Hanabi became one, her mother died. That was just three months ago. Hinata felt hurt back then but Tomoka had helped her.
~Flash back no jutsu~
Hinata was devastated. Her beloved mother has died and now she stands here at her funeral. His heart ached knowing that he would never be able to see her smile again. That he would not be spoiled by her anymore. That she would never be able to feel that motherly love again.
“When fond memories turn sad, you need to remember that when the pain is gone, it will become much more important. Hinata you're lucky.” At that moment Hinata felt a tinge of anger. How could he be lucky when his mother died!
"How can you say that !?" Tomoka gave Hinata a small sad smile. Even though he did have loving parents in this life. In the past they could not be called loving at all. His childhood, his true childhood, has been marred by two people who do not love it. Although the wound had healed somewhat, the scar remained.
“I said it because it is the truth. Unlike others, you should at least feel the love of a mother.” Saying that Hinata noticed that Tomoka turned to look at Nozomi and Naruto. That was when he understood what Tomoka was trying to say.
Even though she lost her mother, she could at least experience her love and attention. He must make fond memories with his mother and overall grow loved even though the love only comes from one parent.
“Death comes for all of us sooner or later. The important thing is to live the short time we have in this world without regret”
Hinata just nodded and fell silent. His sadness subsided a little and now he just felt tired and melancholic. At least, he has good memories with his mother and now he can make good memories with his friends.
