The Passion of the Segara

The Passion of the Segara
Eps. #16 Accept Me What It Is

Segara slowly approached the Pearls and tried to melt the ice between them. Segara held onto the shoulders of the Pearls as he looked into his eyes, there was a sense of guilt that he could no longer hide.

"I'm sorry, Ra! it's all because of me! All this time your life has been very peaceful here, but after I've been here you've been in a lot of trouble! I don't know what to do right now, Ra?" segara said slowly.

"That's not wrong, Bang! everything that happens is out of our control. Maybe this is the fate God has written for us!" The pearl lowered its face, the tears flowing back between its two eye valves.

"You're right, Ra. Maybe this is our destiny! I never thought I'd be stranded here and meet you. Right now all we can do is just go through everything!" said Segara pasrah. With his two fingers Segara lifted the chin of the Pearl and slowly wiped the tears on his sweet face. Pearl began to be able to review a smile on his lips, although it felt heavy, he had to surrender to accept the message of his destiny and had to marry a man who only he knew as a Segara, he had to marry, someone who has lost his past because of memory loss.

Pearl turned her face away from Segara's gaze, she then turned her body, stepping towards the exit.

"Where are you going, Ra?" Segara followed in the footsteps of Pearl who started walking out of his house.

"I want to calm my mind for a second, Bang!" replied Pearl flat, while continuing to walk through the fence of the house. Although the weather was sunny and the rain had stopped but the atmosphere had begun to darken, the sun had set replaced by a star that began to show its bright lights.

"It's night, Ra! where are you not going?" Segara tried to prevent it, but Mutiara did not care about Segara and continued to move her tiny legs down the path that connects one house with another in the village.

"Wait, Ra! I want to come with you!" exclaimed Segara, he also followed the steps of Pearl who was further away from his home.

The pearl stopped its steps on the shore not far from the mouth of a small river. The girl then sat on the sand looking at the open ocean that lay before her. Only the flickering lights of the fishing boat that was at sea could be seen clearly from there. Segara also sat next to Pearl. The atmosphere in that place is very calm because it is far from the busy activities of fishermen who want to go to sea. The sound of the waves that faithfully hit the beach was clearly heard from that place. Wind gusts move the leaves of the nyiur leaves so that it looks as if they are dancing weakly with a trembling make the atmosphere feel more calm in that place.

The pearl released its gaze into the middle of the ocean, a gust of wind fluttering its long hair that was deliberately left to wither over its face.

"What are you doing here, Ra?" curiosity fills Segara's mind, not usually pearls like that.

"Garden the sea, Bang!" pearl replied, "if I have the burden of mind I like to sit here, I can feel calm when I see the ocean!" he said with a thin smile looking at the ocean that spread before his eyes. Segara also set his gaze to the sea, he wanted to feel what was thinking Pearl at that time.

"I feel the same way, Ra! by looking at the ocean I can also feel calmer!" he said, a cold gust of beach wind hit the faces of both.

"From childhood I lived in this village, Bang! this beach holds a lot of memories of my childhood!" Pearl now turned her eyes to the stretch of beach sand.

"When Mom's gone, we stopped making salted fish, after I graduated High School I'd rather sell than sunfish, Bang!" said kalem. Segara just sighed listening to the Pearl story, the simplicity and innocence of the girl made him more impressed.

"Life here is very peaceful and quiet, Ra! I am so happy to live in this village!" segara said chimed in the Pearl story.

"I've been living here for a month, I feel like I have a bond with everyone here, if I'm honest I don't want to leave here, Ra!, you know!, besides you and Mr. Imran are always kind to me, I feel like you are the only family I have!" continued.

The wind still continued to blow on their faces, a glimpse of Segara saw a Pearl wiping the hair that covered his face. Segara brought his face closer to looking at Pearl who could already smile back to return his gaze. Segara also rubbed the hair that covered the face of the Pearl that continued to be hit by the wind.

"I can't remember all my past, Ra. But somehow I feel that I have no one in this world but you. It's been a month since you've helped me no one's been looking for me, maybe I'm actually living alone!" segara said, expressing his doubts.

"Don't say that, Bang! everyone cannot live alone, we will always depend on others, where maybe this brother is a kara, he said, surely Brother has a family and maybe they are still trying to find Brother until now!' kilah Mutiara comforted Segara who looked sad because he had forgotten his real family.

"Pearl, inevitably our marriage will be carried out soon, after that you and Mr. Imran will really be my family. I myself can't understand what I'm feeling right now, Ra!" said again.

"I just want you to be able to accept all of this with a chest of air! I want us to try to live it all out, accept me for who I am, Ra! if one day I can remember all of my past, I promise I will keep you, no matter what!" Segara continued to look into the eyes of Pearl who again looks glassy when he heard the sentence Segara.

"Yes, Bang! it's all happening, we have to go through it all together!" replied the pearl with her trembling lips holding back the cry of her scent.

Segara said so touched his feelings that he no longer hesitated to accept a marriage that they would live in order to avoid the slander of the villagers.

The night was getting late greeting, Segara and Pearl were still sitting there, the cold sea breeze began to blow and sneak between the pores of the skin. Pearl hugging her own two arms reduces the coldness in her body.Once in a while she rubs rubbed her palms and put them on her face to make it feel warm.

Segara could realize that Pearl was starting to feel cold, he then took off his jacket and put it on to cover her back.

"Thank you, Bang!" mutiara said softly while smiling to Segara and was replied by Segara also with a sweet smile to him.

Segara draped one hand on the back of the Pearl and brought it closer to his shoulders.Without doubt Pearl joined to lay his head on Segara's sturdy shoulder. Wind gusts seemed to be ignored again by the two of them, a warm feeling enveloped the two until without feeling it had been more than two hours they sat on the beach.
