The Passion of the Segara

The Passion of the Segara
Eps. #17 Stabilizing the Heart

A bright morning welcomed the arrival of fishermen who had just returned from the sea, one by one they docked at the dock and lowered their catches each.

Pearls also appear to have been among the fishermen and was busy with boxes of fish boxes that Imran had just removed from his boat. As usual they sold all the fish to the suppliers after that they rushed to open the stall and it was seen that some of the customers were waiting there.

"Where country? He didn't help you today huh, Ra?" Imran is looking for Segara's whereabouts in the warung area.

"I told him to stay home, sir! after yesterday's incident, I didn't let him come here to help me, I don't want the villagers to insult us anymore!" reply Pearl of the middle.

"Your decision is right, son. It's better that she's home before your wedding day." Imran nodded in agreement with what his daughter had already said.

Pearl just smiled wryly at the words of Imran, she felt very unprepared with the marriage that she would soon live with Segara.

"Mr should also go home and rest at home, sir! you must have been tired all night at sea!" said Mutiara who is cooking hot water to make coffee and boil instant noodles.

"No, Ra! You'll stay here! After what happened yesterday, I'm worried about you. You will not leave me alone!"

Pearl continued her work and Imran also helped her because she did not want to leave him alone there. Soon after the stall began to bustle, the fishermen who just finished selling fish immediately stopped by the Pearl stall to just find breakfast and drink coffee there. They chat and chat there, there are also those who only discuss the catch that day.

"Which country, Ra? How come he didn't help you sell?" ask one of the fishermen who come to his stall every day.

"Bang Gara is home, Bang!" sahut Pearl.

"I heard yesterday afternoon there was a storm here? what's up?" the fisherman asked again, his tone sounding still polite.

"Yes, just a little misunderstanding, Bang!" denying the Pearl, he knew that the question would definitely be heard more than others.

"What did I say, Ra? you and Segara should just get married, it is not good to stay at home, you are not siblings. Marrying a cousin, let alone just that distant cousin, is still allowed by religion!" other fishermen rebuked him.

The pearl only smiled faintly in response to the rebuke directed against it.

"Yes, soon you'll marry them off!" said Imran who was disturbed to hear the fisherman's question. Pearl could only bow her head, for some reason she felt that her Father also wanted her marriage to Segara.

"It's important you don't forget to invite us, Mr Imran!" the fisherman turned to his other companion and was greeted with a nod of the head by his comrades, all of whom chuckled at the same time.

"Yes, that's right!" they were almost at the same time.

"Just calm! you all must have invited me!" sergeant Imran with a big smile.

Not long ago, the stall was deserted, Imran still accompanied Pearl there until her daughter finished cooking lunch.

"It's over, sir! Let's go home! pity Bang Segara himself at home and he must be hungry!" mutiara said while closing the door of her stall.

"See you are very attentive to Segara, Ra! I'm sure in your heart you actually like that guy, right?' imran asked Pearl in a slightly teasing tone.

"Bang Gara, that's the bike why, Bang?" mutiara asked Segara who when they arrived on the terrace of his house, the girl saw Segara was busy fiddling with Imran motor engine.

"It's been three days that your motorcycle died, Ra. Yesterday I told Segara to fix it!" before Segara could answer, Imran had answered Pearl's question first. "The state understands the machine, that's why you told him to." continued Imran again with a smile full of pride towards Segara.

Segara only smiled faintly hearing the praises of Imran.

"It's done, sir! Now it can turn on the motor again!" Segara patted his palms together to remove the dust that stuck in his hand because he had just repaired the Imran motor engine, his hand was also full of oil stains at that time. Segara then stepped on the starter motor while pulling the gas and the motor was lit perfectly as before.

"You are great, Segara! You are experienced in everything!" praise Imran again.

"Motor Father can live again, so today you can go to the city of the district to buy some of your wedding needs!" imran continued again with a smile.

Hearing Imran's words, Segara only sighed flatly while glancing towards the Pearl that was still standing by the door. No doubt, the two stared at each other, Segara reviewed a smile for Pearl, but Pearl instead lowered her face and blushed in shame.

"When you're done, I'll wait for you at the dinner table! Let's eat first!" exclaiming Pearl hid her shy smile.

They ate together as usual.

"Father has determined the date of your wedding next week, you have discussed with Mr. Head of Village!" babble Imran in between their lunches.

Mutiara and Segara just silently did not respond, they have not even stated their decision to accept or not the marriage, but Imran was very confident that they would soon marry. Therefore, both Mutiara and Segara feel they can no longer decide anything else but just undergo their marriage which must be immediately implemented to avoid the slander of the villagers again.

Indeed, there is a sense of happiness in the heart of Imran because it will make Segara as his son-in-law. Since Segara was in their family, his presence was like bringing good luck to Imran. He felt close to the goddess fortuna after there Segara, his catch was increasing and Segara was also very responsible to help him in everything including keeping his favorite daughter.

"Father is going to the subdistrict city right now, so as not to kesorean!" imran said as he grabbed his jacket and helmet from inside his room.

"Today you won't go to sea because it's a full moon" he added. "Country, you please take care of Pearl! I'm probably home a little late!" Imran smiled, he strongly believes that Segara can take care of Pearl with full responsibility.

"Okay, you're also heart-hearted on the road!" reply Pearl while kissing the back of his Father's hand, Segara also kissed Imran's hand.

Imran then stepped out and picked up his bike, immediately passing from the house.

"Why do I feel you're happy with our wedding plans, Bang?!" mutiara said to Segara while shaking her head slowly.

"Yes, Ra! therefore it is our duty as his son to make a smile of happiness Mr Imran always there right?" segara replied by asking with a smile looking at the face of the Pearl that looks red with a red greeting considering their wedding day that was about to be implemented.

"Yes Bang, soon you'll be his daughter-in-law and I'll be your wife!" the word was thrown very naively from the plain lips of Pearl.

"And I promise that after we get married, I will always try to be the husband responsible for you, and a good son-in-law to Mr. Imran, Ra!" Segara smiled as he gently rubbed the head of the Pearl and the girl also looked at him with her sweet smile.

Both of them feel more confident will be able to live their marriage even though there is currently no vibration of love in their hearts. Segara and Mutiara are equally solidify their hearts to receive each other and learn to love each other after their marriage later.
