The Passion of the Segara

The Passion of the Segara
Eps. #70 Baruna Lost

"Sir, I ordered one rice mixed with iced tea sweet yes, do not use for long!" exclaimed a buyer in a simple stall in the corner of the city park.

That afternoon the shop looked very crowded and buyers had to wait for orders.

"Good, Sir. Please wait a moment!" pearl said with a friendly smile. Although serving impatient buyers, but Pearl still smiled, her hands were also very dexterous to do all her work, understandably, she was used to serving such buyers while still living in her village.

Today is the third day after Pearl lives in the city and works in that simple food stall. Seeing Pearl who was so diligent and friendly to all his customers, making Bu Rahma the shop owner very happy to hire him. Even two nights after arriving in the city, Mutiara was allowed to stay overnight in his stall with Baruna. Mutiara is also very happy because by working at the Bu Rahma stall, she is not confused to find a place to live in the city while for the business of eating, she does not feel worried anymore because at the stall, she is not confused, Ms. Rahma gave enough food rations to her and her son.

"Huh, it's finally over!" sump the Pearl while wiping the sweat that soaked his forehead as he finished washing all the dishes and glasses there.

Warung has started to be quiet because the day is getting late and lunch time is also over.

"If your work is done, you can rest a little, Ara. Don't forget to feed your child, it's already at this hour he must be hungry," said Ms Rahma when she saw Pearl had finished all her work.

"Thank you very much, ma'am" said Pearl. He then rushed to pick up the plate and filled it with white rice and vegetables as well as some of Baruna's favorite side dishes.

Pearls rushed into the room at the stall to meet his son who was left to play alone during his work.

"Una, let's eat first, yuk! it's definitely late afternoon Una's hungry, right?" pearl said as she entered the room. Pearl smiled when she did not find her son there, she thought that Baruna must be hiding in one corner of the room to work on it.

"Una, where are you, honey?" call him. "If Una doesn't want to go out, I'll eat it myself, yeah!" exclaiming Pearl, he hoped that after that his son would come out of his hiding place. However, several times the Pearl called out, Baruna did not appear as well and then the Pearl started looking for her everywhere in the stall.

"Una..., where's your baruna, son?" Pearl kept calling and looking for her son in the shop, but Baruna did not find him.

"Well your son isn't inside, Ra?" asked Bu Rahma who saw Pearls like a confusion looking for Baruna.

"Yes, Mom. The boy likes to joke, he likes to play hide and seek" said Pearl while continuing to walk around in the stall area to find her son. Several times around the stall, but Pearl still did not find her son.

"Either hide where the bad boy is?" Pearl grumbled, suddenly he felt worried, Baruna could not stay still, surely the child was bored if only told to play alone, so busy working, Pearl did not have time to watch him.

"Don't let him go out and play in the park" he said.

"Bu Rahma, I'll let you search for my son for a while, ma'am. He's not inside, maybe he's playing in the park" Mutiara said asking permission from the shop owner.

"Yes, go ahead!" sahut Bu Rahma's.

Pearls then came out of the stall to look for Baruna in the city park.

"Baruna.., don't play far! look out later to meet Mother Jewer ears Una!" he shouted while walking around in the park area and continued to call his son, but the boy did not find him.

After circling the park several times, Pearl became very anxious because Baruna did not look there. He also asked some of the people he met in the area, but no one claimed to have seen Baruna.

"Una, where are you, son!," he murmured in fear of anything happening with his son. How not, they have only been in the city for a few days and during that time they have never been out of the stalls where they work.

"Where should I look for you, Una," Mutiara felt sorry for watching Baruna.

Pearl kept looking back and forth hoping to find Baruna in that place.

"Mother.....!"

"Una, where have you been?" pearl's jolt while rushing caught Baruna's body running over to her, then carrying her.

"Mother's son is so naughty! where have you been, Una? Una left without asking permission first with Mom!" pepper Pearl while pinching the cheek of the boy. He became very upset because his son had already made him feel anxious.

"To cana, Mother. Una play in cana!" plainly said the boy while showing a miniature toy of the ship in his hand.

"Heh, where did this toy come from?" tanya Mutiara was surprised because suddenly the child had brought a toy that was not his toy.

"Dikacih cama Ama, Mother," said Baruna honestly.

"Whose mom, Una?"

"Shy, Mother. Ama is good!"

"You can't lie to Mom! now tell me where did Una get this toy? una must have taken it from someone else, right?" pearl Hardik.

During this time he always educated his son to never take things that are not his own, therefore he became angry to see Baruna who suddenly came to bring the toy.

"No, Mother. It's got Una!" baruna denied evading his mother's accusation.

"Now bring back this toy. I don't like taking other people's stuff without permission!" The pearl took the toy from Baruna's hand.

"No way, Mother. It's Una's," whined Baruna while trying to reclaim her toy from Pearl.

"No, Una. This toy is not yours, son! you have to give it back. Now let's show Mom where Una got this!" The pearl still did not return the toy to Baruna.

Baruna again pointed to the end of the road so that Pearl also stepped her feet towards the road that was always designated by her son.

"That's Ama, Mommy!" show Baruna and Pearl looking across the street. There was a woman who looked like she was confused.

"That's Ama!" yelled Baruna again.

"Is that granny who loves this toy the same Una?" ask Pearl.

"Yes, Mama!" Baruna nodded her head.

The pearl then crossed the street and approached the middle-aged woman who was standing dazed on the side of the road. The woman's face looked shabby with no expression and her gaze was nimble.

"So don't go! don't stay with Mama anymore!" the woman shouted as she saw Baruna and Pearl approaching towards her.

"Give me back my Kaka!" the woman snapped angrily because she did not like to see Baruna with Pearl. The woman then tried to snatch Baruna from the sling of Pearls and strangely Baruna did not refuse at all just that the boy instead deliberately leaned his body to release the sling of Pearls and splashed into the sling of the woman.

"Then don't go again, yes" said the woman smiling as she rubbed Baruna's head and Baruna looked completely unafraid of the woman, but instead looked very familiar.

The silent pearl could not prevent everything that was happening before his eyes. Whether there was any bond between his son and the woman so that Baruna did not refuse to be treated like that by the woman he had just known. Especially with the way the woman's speech and appearance that looks unnatural, Pearl can guess that the woman has a psychiatric disorder.
