The Passion of the Segara

The Passion of the Segara
Eps. #87 The Beginning of a Meeting

Evening on the same day.

Rendy tidied up all the papers scattered on her study desk and prepared to go home. However, as he exited, the lights in Arkha's study were still on.

"Boss Arkha hasn't come home yet, I'd better report to him first" he murmured.

Slowly Rendy walked towards Arkha's room and knocked on the door.

"Just go in, Rendy!" Arkha said and called out to him from inside the room.

"You haven't come home, boss?" asked Rendy when she saw Arkha was still very serious in front of her laptop screen.

"I'm lazy to go home, Rendy!" sahut Arkha was brief with his flat smile and looked uninspired.

"How, has there been any news about Pearls and Mama? how far has your search gone?" keep Arkha.

"My men have spread all over the city, boss. But until now, we haven't gotten any trace of them yet" Rendy replied as she sat on the chair before Arkha.

"But there's other news I'd like to tell you, boss" he added.

"What news?" ask Arkha curiously.

"I just got information from my men that Mrs Livina has been coming to Lapas to visit Mr. Alfin, Boss."

"What! Livina still goes to Lapas? what's he going there for?" Arkha flinched, on the look on his face was an aura of anger that flashed after hearing Rendy's report.

"It looks like Mrs Livina and Mr. Alfin are still in contact, and my men are investigating again, Boss!" sahut Rendy's.

"OK, keep investigating, Rendy. I became more and more suspicious of Livina, it seemed like there were a lot of secrets she was hiding behind me."

"Surely, Boss!"

"Now you go home first, Rendy. Let me be here alone. My head is dizzy," Arkha decisively expelled Rendy from before him.

"Good, Boss." Rendy rushes out of Arkha's room and leaves Arkha alone in his study.

Arkha leaned his back on his study chair while snorting long.

"Livine...! what is he planning? If he dares to play with fire behind me, then I will burn him myself!" There was emotion emanating from Arkha's eyes.

Arkha rubbed his face and shifted his mind.

"Pearl...! where are you, honey? May the Lord meet us soon" Arkha prayed in his heart. That day he felt so longed for his beloved, without realizing it a smile rose from his lips when he remembered the Pearl.

After a few minutes of daydreaming, Arkha glanced at the number on her watch and already showed it at nine o'clock at night. Arkha rushes to turn off his laptop and leaves his office.

On top of his car driving slowly on the city streets, Arkha's mind was still fixed on Pearl, his eyes swept all the corners of the road through him and hoped for a miracle that made him meet on the road with his heart.

The car continued to drive without a definite purpose and Arkha also did not know where he was going to steer it. That night, she was reluctant to go home, because if she came home, she would definitely fight again with Livina for no apparent reason and no idea what the trigger was.

After a long drive around the city streets, Arkha stopped his car on the edge of a fairly deserted road. Arkha remained seated in his car while lowering half the glass of his car. From inside the dashboard, Arkha picked up a pack of cigarettes and started sipping them slowly. Arkha is not a cigarette addict. However, when he feels stressed and is in a lot of trouble, cigarettes can be his escape.

Arkha leaned his head against the headrest of the car seat while spitting out cigarette smoke through the windshield of his car. His mind was glaring, the shadows of the faces of Pearl and his little son Baruna always flashed through his memories.

"PLEASE...! let go of me.., please...!"

Arkha gasped, faintly heard the sound of a woman shouting for help passing in her sense of hearing.

"It seemed like there was a voice asking for help, but it was not clear, like the sound of someone having their mouth smothered." For a moment Arkha thought and he frowned while trying to sharpen his hearing.

"Shut up! no yelling! If you yell again, I'll rip your mouth off!"

From behind the thicket of bushes on the side of the road there is now a heavy voice of a man who sounded threatening.

Arkha rushed down from his car and approached the direction of the sound.

In addition, there was a small child also who was seen being carried by another man, and the child was crying out of fear. The atmosphere was dark enough that he could not see clearly who the people before him were.

"Stop! Release them!" pekik Arkha's.

Instantly the four men with the coverings turned their heads towards him.

"Don't interfere in our affairs!" snapped one of the men dressed as thugs.

"Go, don't be a hotshot! we could've killed you here!" One of them snapped a threat.

"You cowards can hurt women and children! what do you want with that woman and kid, huh? you depraved humans, let them go, quick!" arkha Challenges felt riled at the behavior of the four men before her.

"Bad...! many bacots! Let's just finish him off!" the orders of one of them who had been holding the woman.

The two men immediately ran up to Arkha and attacked him.

As usual, fighting was not something Arkha was afraid of, even though in two people's wobbles at once, Arkha was not easy to defeat. By cleverly he deflected the kicks and punches of the men, even he himself was much more deft to attack the two men and shower them with kicks and punches.

"Please let go, I. Don't hurt my son, I beg you!" whining the woman they were arresting, she was very frightened and her voice sounded hoarse, clear and continued to beg.

"Shut up!" snapped at the man who was still firmly grasping both of his hands.

The woman and the child were Pearls with Baruna.

As Pearl was in confusion looking for an inn, without her noticing four men were watching her. When Pearl and Baruna arrived at that quiet and dark place, the four unknown men immediately ambushed and caught him.

"What's our fault, why do you want to arrest us?" pearl screams with her trembling voice held back in fear. He was very worried that those people would hurt Baruna, especially with the condition of his closed eyes he could only hear Baruna's cry which also seemed very frightened.

"I said shut up! if you talk again, I'm not afraid to hurt this kid!" The man carrying Baruna also snapped and posed a threat.

Pearl was silent at once, though very worried that she would have to be quiet for the sake of Baruna's safety.

Meanwhile, the two men who were fighting with Arkha looked overwhelmed. Both fell to the ground and were battered by Arkha's punches and kicks.

"Arrgghhh...., weak! you two are no match for me!" pekik Arkha was discordant and smiled cynically.

Arkha then turned his head towards the two men who caught the Pearl, with a demonic gaze and one end of the lips he lifted, Arkha pointed her index finger at them.

"Take them off, or I'll finish you off, too!" challenge Arkha again.

Although the Pearl's eyes were closed and were being frightened in the men's threat, the Pearl could clearly hear the voice of the man shouting before her.

"Bang Segara.., that's Bang Segara's voice," muttered Pearl. He almost screamed calling Segara's name, but he immediately regained his senses and held his voice.

"I'm not afraid of you!" squealing the man who was holding Baruna. He quickly released Baruna from his carrier and sat him on the ground and attacked Arkha. With the two fiercely fighting, Arkha remained easily against the man.

Baruna cried again in fear.

"Malurin...!" Hearing her son's cry, Pearl could not help but cry, she immediately shouted which made Arkha instantly turn to the little boy who was sitting on the ground and cry loudly.

Despite being in a fight, Arkha was still able to recognize the boy.

"Malurin...!" Arkha shouted as he turned his body and aimed a kick at the man who was fiercely attacking him.

Blaakk...!

Arkha's kick right hit the core area in the man's thigh which made him instantly fall to the ground and groan in pain.

As fast as lightning Arkha ran and embraced Baruna's body into his carriage. The reflection of the light from the street lighting hit the faces of both.

"Om handsome!" peeking Baruna instantly stopped her crying and hugged Arkha.

"Baruna, my son!" Arkha hugged the little boy tightly.
