Chapter 62: Aswad 9 of 15 “The sad ones from past” (Part 05)

««»»

In one of the rooms in the Alms Lilac brothel, a fragrant fragrance from the smoke of sandalwood incense filled in. Lace curtains are installed on the windows and doors, a tablecloth with purple flower embroidery is held on the table, as well as a luxurious bed covered with mosquito nets and sprinkled with red flower petals on it. In the room prepared to provide the best service, Odo sat in the front seat of the bed and seemed to focus on the parchment papers handed over to his desk.

Sitting at the same table, the madam, Theodora Mascal sucked out his cigar pipe and exhaled smoke into the air which quickly mixed with the incense smoke. The beautiful body of a mature woman, the beautiful curves of her body were clearly exposed with a black dress firmly attached to her body. A unique fragrance scented at a glance scattered as he took off the konde skewer, then made his black hair unravel forward to the lap.

Putting the konde with a flower-shaped knickknacks on the table, the Madam briefly folded her left hand to her stomach and raised both breasts to flirt. After smoking tobacco smoke for a number of times, he put the cigar to the table next to the konde. The smile from her red lips began to widen, at the end of the cigar she had sucked also left behind a lipstick mark.

“You know, Madan ...” Odo lowered the parchment onto the table, stared flat at the black-haired woman before him and reprimanded, “There is no need to prepare this kind of service if I come. Anyway, I came here just to do the monitoring of the funds I've just buried.”

“You don't need to worry, I just made this a kind of camouflage.” The woman dressed in a tight black dress resuscitated her back to the chair and stopped flirting with her breasts. Returning to pick up the cigar pipe, the black-haired woman said, “If I hadn't done something like this, another whore might have thought you were actually coming for a political affair or something.”

“Politics is quite close to prostitution. Are the prostitutes here rarely used for that kind of thing?” asked the young man while returning to pick up another parchment on the table.

Madam laughed a little at this. However, afterwards he briefly put on a grim expression and said, “You said an interesting thing, yes. It is true that politics is close to prostitution. When someone struggling in the political world of distress invites people to join his faction, one of the methods used to persuade is to offer their girls.”

Odo felt strange when Theodora said that, as if the madam was talking about herself. Taking a deep breath and faintly knowing that the madam was already living close to such a thing, Odo again put the parchment on the table and said, Odo, “The plan I submitted went pretty smoothly .... Then may I ask you something sensitive?”

“Hmm, what is it?”

“Madam has been pregnant and miscarried, ‘kan? What impregnates Madam is a person from the government?” asked Odo with a flat expression.

Theodora momentarily fell silent, not immediately answering the question and briefly turning her gaze away. “Ah, about the pregnancy and miscarriage? Not that I have told you that it happened to one of the women who worked in this place, ‘kan? Not me,” elaknya while putting on a stiff smile.

Odo was silent at the lie, fixed his gaze flat and waiting for the real answer from the former mistress of Moloia. Understanding that the young man from the Luke family could not be lied to, Theodora let out a small sigh and at first glance turned her gaze away gloomily.

“For sure after knowing, Master wants what?”

The question was too broad to answer Odo directly. Scratching the back of the head and briefly lowering his face, the Luke family's only son replied, “Just want to make sure. The man who once impregnated Madam is the Deputy Mayor now, ‘kan? I was just wondering what really happened between Madam and Wiskel Porka ...”

Theodora smiled resignedly as the name appeared in the conversation. Staring at Odo, the black-haired woman propped her head up with the back of her right hand and said, “If you already know, why ask me? Exactly as you said, the person is Wiskel from the Porka family's.”

“Means Madam is pregnant not the time is still a mistress, yes?”

“Hmm, it is not ...” At first glance Theodora's eyes glazed over as if remembering her regrets, then while looking at Odo she replied, “If pregnant while still a mistress, where maybe I abort my own womb.”

The answer tells Odo that there is indeed something going on between the two of them. Stop scratching the back of the head and put the right hand to the chin, the young man looked coldly and again asked, “May I know what really happened? It has something to do with the hierarchy of the government of this city, ‘kan? There is also a connection why this complex is not evicted even though the Religious continue to urge every year, right?”

Madam Theodora momentarily fell silent, holding her cigar with her index and middle fingers. Squinting his gaze quickly, with a dislike expression he asked back, “Is that important for tonight's conversation, Mr Niggrum?”

“Of course important.” Odo lowered his right hand onto the table, then with a faint smile said, “That concerns why this place could exist until now. If you can .. I want to hear it.”

Theodora breathed a long, restless sigh and felt unwilling to recall what happened in the first years she came to the city of Mylta. Thinking of other things for the future where she was and trying to believe in Odo, the woman took a deep breath and looked straight at the young man with black hair.

“Alright, I'll tell you about it .... It will be long, is it no problem?”

Odo nodded once in response. After that, the Madam began to tell her relationship with the Deputy Mayor and the story of her teenage years. In it, there is also a reason why she could end up being a prostitute in the corner of Mylta.

It all started about 15 years ago, when Theodora was a teenager and was about 17 years old. Exactly about a year after the Civil War in the kingdom of Moloia ended, a reform on the arrangement of the noble families in the country underwent significant changes and made big waves in the life of the Madam.

Theodora was once the son of a noble of the Mascal family, belonging to the state of Krila in the kingdom of Moloia. She has many brothers from different wombs, because indeed the value of noble women in the country is for political marriage and making coalitions using blood ties.

Fate just like his mother and sisters, Theodora was since childhood educated to become a wife with polite behavior and obedient to her husband. At the age of just 15 years, he married a great nobleman from Marlte and became one of the noble mistresses.

It was also at that time that Theodora lost her honor on the first night, touched by a man two decades from her. For Theodora herself it was not strange because it was her duty, a duty carried by women born into noble families. From childhood he had been educated to be like that and had no complaints at all.

Mascal and Marlte themselves were an incorporated faction with the aim of demanding the country to start the Great War, then restore their glory with the war. Because they are the ones who play a big role as the holders of weapons factories in mass numbers in their region.

Faced with having to choose her family or husband, Theodora preferred to return to her family and file a marriage contract termination letter with the great nobleman of the Marlte. But when he returns, the war is completely over and a verdict of execution falls upon the entire Mascal nuclear family.

Not wanting to die with them, Theodora returns to her ex-husband's residence to ask for help. But of course he was not accepted, kicked raw and even almost arrested for still bearing the name Mascal.

He fled to the corner of the kingdom of Moloea, met a merchant and eventually married him for protection. It happened at the age of just 16 years, not even a year after she sunny with her ex-husband.

Theodora lived quite happily with her husband, often sailing to various places and getting to know the world outside of the kingdom of Moloia. While with her new husband, she got to know the ocean, got the knowledge of trading and how to use money properly. As a woman, Theodora was treated very well by the merchant whose age was only a decade adrift with her.

But once again his shoulder life did not go well. Not even a year he was married, the merchant who became his husband went bankrupt due to a decision from the Fourth Conference of the Country. Free Trade and the Opening of the Sea Line, it makes the sea route monopolized by her husband's trade business is out of competition with the official line. It did not take long, the trading business completely disappeared and only left the archive of debt in small amounts.

With a letter, her husband divorced Theodora, saying he could no longer be happy, did not want to drag her into a pile of debt, and left the young woman in the city of Mytla. At dusk on the day Theodora was abandoned, she met a middle-aged man from the Porka family in the harbor.

It was the great waves of life that transformed him at the age of 17. Making her regret for not being able to maintain her relationship with the two men who were once her husband, then leading her to endless regrets. The only thing that gives him a reason to stay alive is his guilt redemption that grows as time goes on.

“Good afternoon, Little Miss. What do you do in a place like this?”

A regret that will come begins with a simple word. Thrown from the mouth of the old man, under the reddish sun at the end of the horizon. When Wiskel found out that the young woman had no place to live and a kara, on the grounds that he had made her the man's servant brought Theodora to his residence.

The first and second years, he lived in the Porka residence like a servant in general. Cleaning the house, taking care of the garden, shopping to the market and preparing food for the Master and Lady of the house. The Porka family had a 1-year-old daughter. Theodora really lived like a servant of an aristocratic family in general.

Theodora who began to turn 20 years old really grew into a very beautiful woman, even more than the Mistress he served. Even so, the wife of the Porka family did not harbor envy and still considered him a family. Even the daughter in the family who began to grow up considers Theodora as her older sister.

But that peaceful life changed when the Master he served began to look at him in a different way. Whether it was due to the stress of having the territorial power returned from Rein to Luke's family or indeed from the beginning Wiskel Porka harbored a taste in the young woman, but her days completely changed after the incident.

On a winter night, Wiskel Porka came home from his office very late and whatever got into him he went straight to Theodora's room. Then —

The nobleman raped the young woman for a night and literally drowned her. At first Theodora fought back with all her might and ran to the door. But when he understood there was no place for him other than in the house, he finally resigned.

The forbidden relationship continued for several months until the years changed. But when mid-spring, Theodora realized there was something strange in her body. He is often nauseous, dizzy and quickly limp. Then on the advice of the House Mistress, he immediately went to the healer to check on her. That's when she knew that she was three months pregnant, of course she only told the Madam that she was sick.

The Host, Wiskel knew it shortly after in late spring when the womb began to touch the age of 4 months and Theodora's stomach looked slightly enlarged.

“Evict the boy!” The words were uttered by the Deputy Mayor without hesitation when he found out about it.

He threw drugs to abort the young woman. Of course Theodora did not expect that, she had determined to give birth to a child in her womb even though she had to leave the residence. In the midst of the debate that occurred at midnight, the Lady of the House heard it and finally found out that Theodora was pregnant because of her husband.

Disappointment, anger, despair, everything was mixed in the mind of the Mistress he served for the past few years. The woman who had been betrayed hysterically asked her husband for an explanation until suffocated, then at the end she sat down resignedly on the floor of the room and cried bitterly.

“Why did you do this to me? I believe so much .... Why did you betray me like this ..., Theodora ...”

The words made Theodora's decision to keep the child in her womb gone. The chest felt smashed with a spear, making it asphyxiate and in the end give up. In order to protect the Porka family's good name, the woman agreed to abort the child in her womb.

But bad luck came back to him again. The doctor who examined the pregnancy spread rumors that the maid from the Porka residence had become pregnant, making the name of the Deputy Mayor even more degenerate. To the extent that there was a meeting to remove Wiskel Porka from office, many people who wanted his position encouraged the Mayor to remove his deputy.

Once again Theodora was forced to make sacrifices, she was labelled a prostitute and sent to a brothel district with only severance pay and given a small place in the outcast compound. Her remaining dignity was completely stripped away, considered a lowly prostitute who only sowed disgrace on the Deputy Mayor's family. In doing so, Porka's surname again improved as the charge of impregnating his own servant became debunkable under the pretext of being framed by a prostitute.

However, it remained that rumors of a woman being banished in a pregnant condition from the noble residence continued to spread. Theodora who procrastinated to abort her womb was again urged every day with letters that kept coming. Unable to withstand the pressure, she took abortion drugs and miscarriage at the age of 24 weeks with the help of doctors who used to check her pregnancy.

The corpse of the fetus that came out of his body was still vividly remembered until the next few years, haunting him with guilt. As an escape, he started consuming opium and actually plunged into the world of prostitution.

From then on she became a prostitute, falling in guilt for having killed her own child and starting to sleep with many men. Taking pregnancy-preventing drugs continuously, using more of her knowledge than any other prostitute, then building a brothel for herself and becoming a madam at the place.

Since Theodora was still alive in that place, Vice Mayor Wiskel Porka would always try to prevent the prostitution complex from being evicted for fear that its secret would be exposed by the Madam. That was the relationship that existed between them, what happened in the past of those two despicable people.
