Re:START/If {Book 1.0}
Chapter 41: Mutual-Evine 1 of 10 (Part 01)

Second week of spring. A month passed since the trade route of Mytla city was reopened and completely free from the threat of the bandits.

Lorian Trade Union which immediately turned the direction to the government got some special rights as a city investor, one of which they got tax relief and could freely export-import in the coastal city.

On the matter of cleaning the headquarters of the bandits who are still scattered in the Rockfield area, the Baron, Oma Stein, as Mayor of Rockfield has done the cleaning although it can not be in full because the bandit groups tend to be scattered in the forest and difficult to be eradicated.

Coastal cities that last year lagged in various aspects began to experience progressives. Free open trade routes between cities make the mobility of the supply of goods increased. Coupled with some cooperation made between the Stein and Mylta families after the appearance of the Demon King, the, things like the exchange of market commodities are increasing rapidly even though the fishermen can only get sea products after the frozen bay begins to melt.

Political power disputes between the Religious Parties and the Government Parties also adopt a bright spot where both parties can maintain the balance of political influence. Although problems such as understanding from Moloia are still vaguely left, it is, The Religious who say that such an understanding is wrong and deviates from the teachings make the adherents little by little leave the outside understanding.

On a warm sunny day, Odo Luke opened his eyes with a slightly grim face. The light entering through the open window made him squint his eyes on the bed. Immediately get up and sit down, the young man slightly leaned over and looked to the left right as if looking for something.

Realizing that he was not at the Mansion, Odo sighed. He was in one of the rooms of the Porzan Inn, had five days he borrowed the room for a place to rest while in Mylta.

“Wake up, Odo?” the voice that the young man knew.

Looking at the window, there was the Great Spirit of the Lord of the North Sea. He was standing by the window, with a different appearance. Vil was not wearing the typical Ungea outfit he liked, now he ate simple clothes like a tunic that was wrapped in a white shirt. For subordinates, he wore black tight trousers that were tied to black short skirts with blue checkered line patterns.

Odo feels that Vil's appearance is imitating him. But missing the opportunity to ask why the Great Spirit had started to dress like that three days ago, Odo chose not to discuss it.

“Ya, already awake,” replied Odo. Staring flat at the Great Spirit, the young man again said, “Sleep for a long time is not good, my body feels all pain .... But if I don't sleep my body will drop instantly. Tch! It feels like being a sick person indeed.”

“Yeah, you haven't fully recovered yet, anyway .... Honestly I was also surprised when you collapsed after chatting with the merchant.”

Vil walked towards the bed, sat down next to Odo and looked at him closely. Touching the young man's forehead and checking his temperature, he said, “I don't think you have a fever or anything. But ... Why is your face always pale? Ever since you came to town, loh.”

“Ah, here low-level spirits are very rare, anyway. My body's recovery needs their help, so ..”

“You take mine?” Vil extended his hand.

“Eh? Couldn't you be here thanks to my strength? If you're getting weaker it's the same I should increase my concentration of power ...”

“Ah, free dong.”

“Tuh, already know the answer ...”

The young man with black hair got out of bed. Taking off his shirt and pants, he took a change of clothes from the closet. As usual he always wore a long-sleeved shirt and black pants, with a black glove on both hands.

The young man shamelessly changed clothes even though Vil was still in the room, as if he did not care about it. Just like that young man, the blue-haired Great Spirit was not bothered at all.

“This may not have been asked by Julia and the others, but I was curious. Odo, where do you know that merchant so much that he would lend me a free room like this?” ask Vil.

While buttoning his shirt, Odo replied, “When I came with Fiola I knew him. Just a coincidence, kok.”

“Concidence .., yes.” Vil stared flatly.

Slightly glancing, Odo said, “Why?”

“Hearing the word coincidence from you feels unnatural. This plan you gave me .. It felt too perfect because it went too smoothly. It just so happens to sound weird.”

“Too smoothly? What is too smooth?”

Vil took a little breath. He took off his shoes and went up to the bed, and lay with both hands on his back up to the top of the bed.

“Everything .... From the first day you came, enter this inn and have a conversation with that merchant. Allowing me to discuss with him afterwards, then dismantling my identity as the Great Spirit on him and making the merchant even more interested in your plan.”

Hearing that, Odo simply fell silent and immediately put on his pants. Finished tidying himself up, he slightly sighed. Stretch both hands up and round.

“Ah ..., do I need to shower first, yes?” muttered Odo while kissing his own armpits.

“Let's relax, you don't give off any odor at all, kok.” Vil sat down on the bed, stared with his expressionless face and said again, “What else do you want? Continue with the plan you gave me? I don't know why I became a little confident thanks to the information you provided this ...”

Turning to the Great Spirit, Odo replied, “Yes, we use the plan ..”

Walking towards the door and opening it, the young man walked out and walked the hallway. Vil immediately got out of bed and put on his shoes, came out with Odo and closed the door. The room where they were on the second floor of the Porzan Inn, he borrowed it for free after several agreements with the Lorian Trade Union Executive, Aprilo Nimpio.

In the black above white agreement which was officially the lobbying process was done by Vil, several things were agreed regarding the store that Odo Luke wanted to build. One of the contents of the agreement is to provide free two-room rent for a year at Porzan Inn, this is based on Aprilo who became the sponsor of the inn.

The important content of the agreement is that Odo must provide some new products that will be sold at the special store that will be built. In the lobbying conducted by Vil revealed that the store to be built Odo will sell goods that do not collide with United merchandise. Using the policy, Aprilo is targeting Odo goods to be sold in other regions for profit-sharing purposes.

“Odo, by the way what exactly do you want to sell? Shop ..., which you built it for the store, ‘kan?” asked Vil who was walking next to the young man in black hair.

Slightly slowing down footsteps, Odo replied, “The essence is not raw goods. A processed that might attract attention.”

“Hmm, what is it?”

“Once, I still sort out which ones would be interesting.”

“Eh? Not decided yet, huh?”

“Already, but must be sorted whichever comes first.”

While chatting lightly, the two of them reached the stairs and descended down. They passed by an innkeeper, exchanged light greetings and immediately resumed their respective needs.

Arriving at the lobby, Minda and Gariadin are seen sitting and have been waiting for them. Odo and Vil approached immediately, took a seat and the young man with black hair said, “Sorry, Brother Gari ... Brother Minda. I just woke up.”

“Hmm, you really so wake up during the day, yeah. I did not expect,” said Minda. The woman who was seen always wearing the uniform of the maid stared in wonder, while remembering Odo who could be said to always wake up very early.

“Well, my condition is deteriorating, anyway. This is a form of adaptation .... So, what is the smooth construction?”

The long black hair woman took a deep breath. Staring lightly and smiling, he confidently said, “Everything went well. The Dwarves and the hired people are working maximal and may be able to finish later this month.”

“If Brother Gari?” ask Odo.

Smiling with pride, Gariadin replied, “Ah, very smoothly! I honestly didn't think that the Religion and the Government could get along like this. Indeed, every city has such a division of parties, but I don't think they can have such a tolerant point. Well, they're like oil and water, anyway. Difficult to unite.”

“Gariadin ...! Watch how you talk! Though you are also Shieal, but instead talk casually like that in front of Mister!” reproof Mind.

“No problem, lah. Sir Odo did not bother him, either. Right’s, Mr Odo?” said the man dressed in black shirt casually.

“Yes, I have no problem, really. After all, if it feels stiff it is also strange,” replied Odo.

“Tuh, listen!”

“But ...”

Odo was silent, watching the old red-haired man's words. Gazing towards Gariadin, the young man watched him closely and estimated what the man was doing before sitting in the lobby.

What Gariadin was wearing was an outfit almost similar to the black shirt Odo had worn, a sort of priestly uniform. From that he knew that one of the Shieal had just come to the Main Church or something to take care of the existing problems.

Odo slightly sighed because there was only one problem left from the political issue of Mylta. Holding his chin with his right hand, the young man looked away and thought of some other things.

“Mr Odo .., can I ask you something?”

Hearing the sound of the Mind that felt stiff, Odo stopped daydreaming and stared at him. Smiling faintly, he said, “What is it?”

“Actually ... to what extent did Mr Odo plan it?”

“It's true! The master! Actually you planned it to what point?” connect Gariadin.

Getting a question from Minda and Gariadin, Odo momentarily fell silent. He understood that such curiosity was indeed natural to appear considering the people he ordered did not know the true purpose of Odo.

“Why do Mbak Minda and Kak Gariadin feel so?” ask back Odo.

“Your plan is too perfect,” says Minda.

Odo was silent, smiling faintly and waiting for Mind to reveal what was in his mind.

Staring into Odo's eyes, Mind said, “That's to the point of making me creep. From you tell me about the people who sell wood, stone, sand and even ask the witches from the store in Niaga District to make concrete ..., everything feels very directional.”

“Hmm, indeed all of that is directed,” said Odo casually.

“Honest ..., even when asking the Dwarves, I did not expect that you were using the Osel connection and invited some Dwarves from Rockfield to help .... Not only that, the position of the land also I feel perfect .... Planning your development as well. The design, the way of development, the architecture and everything it feels is perfect, and it is. frightening.”.

Hearing the words of Mind that felt very rare for the woman to argue, Odo slightly smiled thinly and felt relieved one of the Shieal who he knew became a little open.

“I have planned everything. From start to finish .... If Mbak Minda feels that it is too perfect, it is actually just because Mbak Minda always sees people making immature plans. To me a plan like this is reasonable and ordinary ..”

“Custom ...? All this?” Mind a little bit.

“Ya ..”.

Gariadin interrupted the conversation and asked, “If it's about the Government and Religious Parties, do you also plan that from the beginning? To find their tolerance point, you already planned it?”

Odo slightly looked away, observed the quiet lobby and said, “Ya. I planned it from the beginning. Does Gariadin know the nuns in the Main Church? What is Siska?”

“A— Miss Siska, yes. Right also ..., he takes care of the Orphanage that you often go to. What since then have you planned it?”

“Hmm, less more.” Odo stopped observing around, looked back at the two Shieals and said, “So, before I directed Mbak Minda and Kak Gariadin again, what would you like to ask?”

“It ..”

“Actually ...”

They both look awkward. Want to ask something but seem a little reluctant to ask for some reason.

“Hmm? What?”

“Actually we are not the only ones who are curious, Julia and Imania too,” said Mind hesitate.

“What's the question?”

“When you come to this place and bargain with the Trade Union Executive it .... If not wrong, his name is Mr Nimpi, yes? .... Why ... Vil can lobby that actively? Not her ...”

“He's a nerd, isn't he? Don't know about society? Why does his speech smoothly so and can even persuade people,” sidelines Gariadin directly at the core.

Vil who sat next to Odo was immediately disturbed, feeling offended and staring flat at the red-haired man.

“Ah, about that ....Well, it's true that Vil doesn't have social skills. She's a nerd, introvert again ..”

“Odo ..”  Vil glanced in annoyance, feeling played with by them.

Looking towards Vil, Odo smiled lightly and said, “But, yes .... Honestly, it's hard to explain, but just think of it like this. Vil his attitude changed, can lobby smoothly and actively because of my strength ...”

“Strength ... Mr Odo?” ask Minda.

“Yes .... Just so you know, I have the power to share information. People are intelligent because of the mindset and attitude from birth, but people are smart because of learning and the results of experience .... In short, I can make people smart.”

“Eh ..?”

“Ah ...?”

They were really dumbfounded to hear that. Looking at each other, Minda and Gariadin did understand but still could not believe it because it sounded unreasonable.

Smiling a little at their reaction, Odo again explained, “Share information, it's the same I share knowledge and experience.”

They still can't accept something that doesn't make sense. If what Odo says is true, things like training and learning are no longer necessary. Just by sharing experience and knowledge it can already make one become an expert in something.

“Already, we continue the conversation,” said Odo.

After that, the young man returned to do the briefing for them. The mind is asked to continue to take care of the process of building the store because he and Imania are given responsibility for it. For Gariadin, the former priest was still assigned to intermediaries between the Religious and the Government Parties.

At the briefing, Odo gave them some extra time to keep an eye on the remaining external understanding and other possible external dangers given the current state of interstate politics.

Minda and Gariadin alternated once every two days with Julia and Imania to be in the city of Mylta, therefore Odo requested that later the message be conveyed to Julia and Imania who were now in the Mansion. The reason for doing such a shift was because of Odo's request, he felt anxious about the security at the Mansion for several things.

.

.

After having a conversation with the two Shieal, Odo and Vil went back up to the second floor of the inn. They did not go to their rooms anymore, but headed for another room on the third floor. While walking Vil followed with a slightly grim face, knowing what Odo would do later.

“What ... should really be in this way, Odo?” ask Vil.

Not slowing down footsteps, the young man replied lightly, “Yes, what else. I've done it, where it might stop halfway.”

Arriving in front of a door on the third floor of the inn, Odo knocked four times.

“You're awake? Owls are white when they are small, but as adults their feathers turn black. Pure-hearted man when young, will blacken as an adult.”

From within a soft voice rang out, “We are not humans, only small birds.”

The door opened from the inside, a sloth-type Demi-human woman was holding her sleeping daughter. The mother and son were Isla Tenebris and her daughter, Suigin. They are the wife and daughter of Bandit Leader Tox Tenebris.

“A-What's up, Mister?” ask Isla daunted. The golden-brown woman stared fearfully and prejudicefully.

Smiling kindly, the black hairdresser said, “I want to talk, can I come in?”

“Si-Please ...”

The woman who usually always looks weak looks trembling. Letting Odo and Vil in, with a sense of anxiety and discomfort. The last Vil to enter closed the door, as if he had not allowed the woman to leave the room.

The reason the Bandit Leader's wife was in one of the rooms that was lent to Odo, was because the young man had indeed asked her to come with him.

On the day after his agreement with Aprilo, Odo immediately went to Iitla Lots in his office. Having a conversation with the person in charge regarding the captured Bandit Leader, Odo manages to get a bright spot and expels Isla and her daughter from a possible execution.

Odo did not do it out of pity or anything like that, he did it with a cold head and without feeling involved in it. Only in the form of necessity and the benefits that exist, he freed Isla and her daughter.

Odo sat next to Isla by the side of the bed. Looking down on her daughter, the woman simply fell silent without saying anything. Vil, who was leaning by the door, stared flatly, though he understood Odo's purpose, but he did not like the way the young man wanted to do.

“Nona Isla, this is about my offer yesterday .... Do you want your husband to be free?” asked Odo without looking at the woman.

“Te-Of course! The master! Can you free my husband ..?”

The frail woman was immediately entangled with Odo's offer with youth, staring with a hearty face and completely begging. Turning to look at him, the young man in black hair said, “Of course you can. If Miss Isla wants to cooperate with me, I will do that.”

“Really? Thank kasi—”

“However,” cut Odo directly. “Of course there should be equal pay. Miss knows your husband's fault, doesn't she? He's a bandit, even a leader. I know you're family, but you're aware that many of the people you kill have families, right? What .... do you really think can be free with no penalty at all?”

“I-It ...”

“So, what do you want Miss to pay me?”

Afterwards, Odo offered something that sounded very sweet. Every word that came out of his mouth was like the whisper of an angel who led Isla to agree. But in reality, the young man only ensnared the bandit leader's wife on a contract like a contract with the devil.

Without regard for the sins of the bandit family, without pity, without concern, and without the desire to help. What Odo offers is only for his own sake, to utilize the outlaw family with their sins as atonement.

Vil who heard and saw Odo pouting sweet words only fell silent. Staring flat and not at all surprised or disgusted at the young man. He knew that it was like that Odo Luke, so bright and kind but at the same time so dirty.
