Chapter 26: Those who are called leaders 2 of 3 (Part 01)

From inside the Inkara Orphanage, Julia came out with Siska after listening to her explanation about the news of traders from the kingdom of Moloia who came to spread a distorted understanding with the system of the Kingdom of Felixia. They set foot in the courtyard, and went to the port area where the people of the kingdom of Moloia gathered.

Julia is seen carrying a sword on her waist tied to a belt, while Siska carries an iron spear just in case. They didn't carry any more gear, it was the only weapon the two men had brought. Just as Julia was about to open the fence, it suddenly felt a terrible air that was no stranger to her.

The cat girl's hair immediately stood up, her tail was vertical and the look of her eyes turned sharp. Siska who was in that place also felt that terrible air, the blonde-haired woman shivered trembling fearfully as she felt the pressure of an aura that felt as strong as a monster.

“I ... this ... does this aura belong to Mr Odo?” Julia looked towards the road leading to the harbor. Although he could not be sure who the aura belonged to, but he was not wrong considering who the aura that felt like a monster.

“I go first!”

“E-Eh?! Wait ..!”

Julia quickly ran and jumped high up on the roof of the building on the side of the road to take a shortcut, she did not listen to the words of Siska who tried to stop her. The Nekomata girl galloped over the tile, jumping from one roof to another very agilely.

A duaaark!!

The sound of explosions bounces from the direction of the port. Seeing the black smoke billowing into the gray sky, Julia's instincts spoke ill of it. The girl used the Battle Art technique to increase her leg strength, then immediately jumped up high towards the harbor. But before arriving, there was again a strange clanking sound that was loud. He recalled the sound like a weapon that was often used by people in the empire, reflexively stopped on one of the roofs of the storage sheds and looked around to find the source of the sound.

“It ..., the sound of a rifle? Why are there guns in this place?! There!”

Julia finds the source of the sound, the sparkle of the gun barrel and a strange movement on the roof of the warehouse a few hundred meters away from her caught sight of the girl. He quickly increased his magic pressure, making the fire arrows hovering above the right palm to be thrust towards them.

But before throwing the arrow, Julia saw a puff of smoke vapor around the pier. At first glance, the figure of Odo who began to wake up while carrying a girl with both hands. Julia canceled her magic and was about to jump quickly towards Odo who was at the bottom. But when she saw that part of the child's face was shattered, Julia's body trembled in fear. His footsteps stopped, for a moment he felt reluctant and afraid of his employer.

“Master Odo ..., you ...”

Julia shook her head, trying to think of something else and understand the situation. He looked back at the shooter, then immediately understood what was happening. “What did they do that to Mr Odo?!” said the girl full of anger.

He quickly jumped down, then ran towards Odo who was standing between the puffs of smoke that began to disappear. By the time Julia got near her master, the wound on the black-haired boy's face had healed completely as if what Julia had seen before was just an illusion.

“Mr Odo ..., are you okay?” Julia patted the black-haired boy's shoulder. Odo did not respond, he just fell silent and did not turn his head. Touching her cheeks, Julia was shocked because the child's skin felt cold and stiff.

“Master!? You ...!”

Odo's body knelt down, still carrying the girl with both hands. Highlight the child's eyes look empty and his left eye is completely white because the cornea of the eye goes into the eye bag. A magic circle suddenly appeared right above Odo's head, shaped like a Halo and began to emit light. Ether particles began to collect, entering into Odo's body through the pores and regenerating some parts in his body.

Seeing what happened, Julia could only gape. He knew what the master was up to, it was very similar to the High Level Recovery Magic, Regenerator. In Julia's lore, in the Michigan Continent there was only one person who could use such magic and she was a Great Witch who lived in Miquator City, Miquator City, it was not seen directly and only from the story of Mavis.

When Odo's body finished regenerating, the black-haired boy immediately took a breath like he had just come out of the water. His breathing was breathless, sweat started to pour out from his pores and his body temperature slowly returned.

“Sialan ..., my lung function is also affected ....”

Odo turned his head to the side and only realized Julia was standing there. Their eyes looked at each other but the words did not come out for a moment. Lowering Nanra down on the snow surface, Odo slightly sighed and looked lazy to explain.

“Why ... You're in here? Not ... Mr. Odo said he wanted to go to the Government Headquarters ....?” The question Julia asked was exactly what Odo thought. With a slight look away, the boy replied, “I happened to pass by in this place and suddenly attacked them, it looks like I became the target of killing those people.”

Odo pointed at the people lying down in terrible conditions. Julia looked up, she just realized there were bodies lying in the place. They had some burning, scattered parts of his body, and clearly no one was seen alive.

“What ... actually happened? Why .... Who are they?!”

Julia was completely confused over what had happened. Odo just glanced flat, he was sitting cross-legged and staring intently at the roof of the building where two men had shot guns at him. The boy wanted to catch up to them, but he couldn't do it right away because Julia had come and he couldn't just leave Nanra.

“They are people from the Kingdom of Moloia .... Looks like they instigated the fishermen to revolt and carry out the assassination plan,” explained Odo while turning to look flat Julia.

“Rebellious? So what Siska said was true, those people .... Eh? Wait ..., they really want to commit your murder? Why ...? For what ... The kingdom of Moloia is doing things that are contrary to the Conference Agreement?”

“Entahlah .., but it looks like they want to fight, loh .... Well, it's from one of the corpses there, hell.”

The child's words slightly made Julia tremble. He gulped heavily, then asked again, “What are you ... who did all this?” The cat girl saw the trepidation of the black wasteland, the expanse of flames that began to extinguish made her really not think that the children who made them all perish.

“Hmm, I did it. They attacked me and were about to kill this girl, so I killed them ...”

“Akh ..., pain .... Excessive sensitivity is indeed annoying, all my senses are sharpening and the pain is strengthening.”

Finished adjusting the body's sensory, Odo woke up and began to stretch his neck. He put on an annoyed expression with a flat look, then faced Julia and asked, “Did Julia know about them? Why could the military people of other countries infiltrate like that? Is the security of Luke's territory this weak?”

Gaining a sharp look from the boy, Julia could not answer directly. He turned his face, then said slowly, “I-That's probably because the military personnel of Luke's territory now is very minimal when compared to other regions.”

“What is it because of that failed Astral World Expedition twice?” ask Odo firmly.

“I ... yes ...”

Turning from Julia, Odo knelt in front of Nanra and retrieved the Potion from the storage in the Dimensional Bracelet. Sowing the potion in a glass bottle to the girl and throwing away her container, within seconds the wounds on the little girl's body disappeared. Although the wound was closed, but some of the girl's teeth were loose of course not the body back. Potions only speed up the recovery of the body, not grow lost body parts, even though they are high quality and very efficacious.

“Mbak Julia ..., please take Nanra to the orphanage.”

Odo woke up, then began to increase his magic aura and black blue lightning began to envelop him. “I will chase them,” he continued while turning his head and looking hard at the cat girl.

“Me—!? That's dangerous! We better go back first and notify the Madam at the Mansion! We must fight them with the troops!”

“Hmm, then please notify them as well.”

Odo walked away, but his right hand was held tightly by Julia and stopped. “Wait! Mr Odo, it's dangerous! The people of Moloia Kingdom are different from other countries! They rarely used magic, traces of Mana or their movements were very strange! They were the strongest Kingdom after the Great War ended, if me—“

“About it,” sela Odo. He forcibly removed Julia's grasp, then stared flatly as he said, “What they use is science and ascending technology. Indeed because they did not use magic, their attacks were hard to detect coming from nowhere. But, almost everything they used was close to metal. I can outsmart it.”

“Know ...? It may be true that you outsmarted it, but it is still dangerous! Let's go back first! Not just your head until terlu—“

Julia's words stopped, she immediately turned her eyes away and refused to say it. Looking at the silvery-haired girl's expression, Odo knew that Julia was watching as she was shot and her head shattered. If Julia sees that, Odo can also predict that the girl also saw how the boy used regeneration magic that is far from human and tends to be terrible.

“Mbak Julia saw it, yes .... Well, then, it's not like Julia also knows that I won't die that easily, right? Although their weapons could hole their heads easily, it would not kill me instantly as long as my nerves did not die en masse.”

Odo spread his right hand to the side, then activated the Dimensional Bracelet and took out a wooden box that instantly fell onto the snow surface. Julia flinched, seeing the trepidation of the box that the child suddenly took out.

Taking off the shirt full of bloodstains and tattered, the boy crouched down in front of the box and opened the cover. Inside there is the Halaah Shirt and several weapons such as short swords and daggers, as well as several sets of shirt clothes. All of that was a fight that the boy had taken from the storage warehouse in his residence. Odo quickly picked up the shirt and put it on, then wrapped it in a bow shirt.

[Note: Halkah Shirt; a shirt made of armour rings or chains, having a length of at least up the thigh and having short sleeves.]

Turning around while tying his clothes, Odo said, “Mbak July, please back off a little.”

“Eh? Hmm ...”

As Julia retreated to the spot where Nanra was lying, Odo began to concentrate the lightning on both palms and pat the surface of the worn chain armor. Electricity flows on the surface of the armor as a conductor, its electrical potential is equivalent to the body of Odo and has electromagnetic properties that can be increased and lowered according to his wishes.

“Headshot Anticipation at least this is enough ...” Odo spread out his hands, then lowered the electromagnetic waves on his armor to the minimum.

Seeing what Odo was doing, Julia did not understand at all and could only stare confusedly. Odo reinserted the wooden box into the Dimensional Bracelet, then stretched it with a small jump to check the condition of the body.

“What are you doing? Quickly take Nanra to the orphanage and report to Mommy about this. If they move again, it's too late ..”

Odo stopped skipping small. Stretching her hands towards Julia, the active electromagnetic waves on the palm increased and forcibly pulled the sword from the glove that was on the girl's waist. The sword rotated in the air, then adjusted its angle and was captured by Odo.

Seeing the lightning flash coming out of Odo's palm and the armour of the chain, Julia just understood what the boy was doing to the iron metal he was using. “Did you use lightning to pull my sword earlier?” julia asked with a surprised look.

“Hmm, more or less so .... Then ..., please yes ....!”

Without explaining further, the boy enveloped his body with lightning and instantly leaped high using throwing magic. He re-created the magic of throwing in the air with a sideways position, then immediately darted through the air without letting Julia stop him.

The cat girl was completely panic-stricken. The magic Odo used did not look too powerful when compared to the magic Julia had seen, but in terms of complexity it was very beyond his comprehension.

Realizing that there is no time for her to get confused, Julia quickly takes Nanra and takes her back to the Inkara Orphanage. He did not think of anything else, only Odo's orders were his priority. Although he himself is aware it is wrong to let the child go alone, but he himself is also aware that preventing or following him is not an option because it may only hinder him.
