Re:START/If {Book 1.0}
Chapter 29: From the rice planted can grow weeds (Part 03)

Walking along the place, Odo and Fiola again stopped by several places in the artisan district. They had entered the place of herbal medicine concocters, glass craftsmen, artisans association, potters and lastly was a shop that sold magic tools. Every time he entered these places, the boy did something not much different from when he went to the blacksmith's workshop.

He ordered or bought the items they were selling, and then started talking for information. Of course, every money spent on it was always asked by Odo from Fiola, and every time he was asked that Huli Jing was a little reluctant face. The boy did it really diligently and neatly, despite getting the same information from some people he still listened carefully and carefully looked for the difference.

Fiola could only be amazed to see the boy painstakingly do so in almost every building that opened its doors. He knew what Odo was doing to increase his relationship with them, but he did not think the boy would take it very seriously.

Finished visiting all the buildings that opened their doors in the artisan district, it was not realized that the day was getting dark and the lanterns were starting to light up. The snow did not fall so heavily, though the cold became clearer as the city began to darken.

In the artisan district, Odo and Fiola came out of the magic tools seller's shop after buying things from the place and had a small talk with the owner. Holding a parchment paper with a magic-circle structure on it, Odo put on an amazed face as if discovering something new.

“It turns out that many low-level magic is also useful for everyday needs, yes. I learned a lot,” said the boy in awe, face beaming and looking so innocent.

Fiola who was standing next to him had an astonished expression, he patted the boy on the shoulder and said, “Back to reality, Young Master ..” Odo flinched, the boy came out of his imagination and turned his head with a wide smiling face.

“Sorry, sorry .... After that, I got a lot of new things. Hm! Many interesting things in this place, it feels sorry first every time I come here I did not have time to stop by this place.”

Odo stuffed the paper in his hand into the storage dimension, then spread both of his hands to the side. Turning to the right and taking two steps forward, he turned around and looked back at Fiola. “Then, stay to that orphanage and rest there!” he said cheerfully.

“Rest? Do you intend to stay there?”

“Ya!”

“Eeeeeeeeeh ..” Fiola put on a reluctant face and slightly inserted his lips into his mouth upon hearing that. “Better rent only lodging, we still have a lot of money,” persuaded him with a reluctant face with the words Odo.

“No, ah .... Lodging said many barbarians.”

“Who said? Well, that's a point. But if you choose an inn that costs a little more, I don't think people like that exist. Yes, we're going to the inn?”

“Ogah ...”

The boy turned around, then started walking down the main street of the district towards the orphanage located in the pier area. A resigned face was seen on Fiola's countenance, he sighed lightly and was forced to follow the boy's will.

While walking down the road they only realized that at night the Coastal City was very quiet, only a few people were still out and it was mostly city guards who were patrolling while carrying lanterns. They were both approached by guards and asked for their identities. But when Fiola showed a parchment as a sign of a Shieal, the guard immediately knelt down and apologized for taking their time. It happened not just once or twice, but up to five times until it finally arrived in front of the orphanage they were heading to.

Fiola felt reluctant when he saw the building, his expression was not much different when Odo first invited Julia to the place. Turning to face him, the black-haired boy asked, “Why don't you guys like a place like this?”

“You? Julia also refused to go into this place, huh? If you know, why did you bring me here? Being nosy?” Fiola stared flatly, his face slightly irritated and really did not want to set foot into the building in front of him.

“No, coke. I also have a need, so come here .... Why anyway? Is it that bad this place is?” asked Odo in surprise.

“Auran ...”

“Aura?”

“There is a little holy air. Me and Julia have a keen sense of smell like this, so it doesn't feel good.”

“Holy air?” Odo slightly tilted his head. “If Nekomata is reasonable because they do not like it like that, but instead of Fiola Ma'am classified as a Holy Animal?”

“I've guessed Mr. Odo is being nosy .... I am a sacred animal and this smell is indeed fragrant to me. But ..., will you feel at home when you are in a room where the air is full of the aroma of perfume that stings? Time pick you up too I desperately hold it ...”

“Ah ..”.

Odo understood that, it felt very disturbing and unpleasant. What else if you are eating food or want to sleep, the smell of pungent fragrance is indeed very disturbing. But when he looked back at Fiola's words, the boy felt a little strange.

“If the holy weather for Mbak Fiola like a fragrant aroma, how to feel at home close to my mother?”

“Ah? Of course because the smell is different .... Her fragrant mistress is fitting, not stinging like this place ..”

“Then please sleep outside.” Odo ignored the word and opened the gate of the place.

“Eh? Sudan explained why it doesn't even care?!”

Odo turned his head, looked flat and said, “Peduli? Since when do I care about Fiola?”

“Her word!”

“Hmmm.” Odo smiled faintly, then said, “Hink, really .... But ... I honestly have to get into this place. If Ms. Fiola doesn't like it, please find a nearby inn. Later in the morning come here ...”

The Huli Jing stared doubtfully, disbelief clearly visible on the look on her face. Shaking his head, he said, “No need, I want to carry out the obligations given Madam.”

“Whatever, anyway.”

Odo looked back at the orphanage and walked towards the door. As he was about to touch the door, his foot stepped on an invisible magic structure that felt strange and it disappeared quickly. There was no effect from it, Odo did not have time to see it clearly because it was too sudden.

“What was it?”

The door of the orphanage building opened, Siska with a hasty expression was seen there. It was different when Odo saw her in the Main Church, the blonde-haired woman wearing a simple tunic for everyday use. But when the boy smelled the scent and saw her wet hair, he knew she had just finished her bath.

“Hmmm, shampoo is also affordable for the lower class, yes. I don't think so, Siska included ..” Odo's mind, he momentarily fell silent observing the woman.

“Master Odo ...? Why are you staring at me like that?” ask Siska.

“Bathing out? Wear shampoo?” Odo casually asked a question of no manners to a woman. Fiola reached out to the child's ear from behind and reprimanded, “If a reasonable question, you are a noble ..”

“Sick ...,” said the boy in a flat tone.

Stopping pulling the child's ears, Fiola stared towards Siska. Observing the woman, she understood a little why the nun had just taken a bath and used such a fragrant shampoo. “Ah, she just got home from her workplace, yes. Surely he also got shampoo from the Imam after hearing that Mr. Odo will come,” Fiola's mind with an expression of understanding of it.

Odo was a little upset that Huli Jing understood herself and did not tell her. Looking towards Siska, he asked, “Can I log in?”

“Ya ..., of course. But ..., is it okay to come night-night? Not going home first?”

“Hmm? Why?”

“It ... little boy both out night-night .... Yes, I know that Mr. Odo I don't think it's a problem, but the girl next to you ..”

“Just relax, she's not a girl.”

“Sorry before did not introduce yourself, Miss Siska.” Fiola slightly lowered his head in respect, back on his feet he said, “I am one of Shieal, Fiola. This is one of my forms ..., for several reasons I had to use this form when accompanying Mr. Odo.”

“Fiola ...? Fiola the Holy Beast?!” ask Siska to panic.

“Ya ..”.

“What ... is transformation magic?”

“True.”

“Ehem! Can we come in?” sela Odo's.

Long talks were stopped by the boy, after which the three of them entered the building of the Inkara Orphanage. While stepping inside, Fiola's nose twitched and he put on a slightly reluctant face with the scent he inhaled.

.

.

.

.

The room with a classic impression is no longer making Odo feel interested when entering it. Inside the orphanage, the three of them sat in the dining room in the middle room of the building. The candles are lit, the oil lanterns are hung, and the room looks pretty neat even though the quiet atmosphere feels strong. On the table there is a blue woven tablecloth on which there is a jar of dried sweets and other snacks as a banquet.

Fiola sat next to Odo, while Siska sat across from them. Staring at the woman had dried and styled her hair with a single braid tie, the boy with blue eyes had a look of wonder. He could not understand why the atmosphere in the room felt so different.

Siska took off the blue ribbon that adorned her hair, then put it on the table and stared at Odo with a slightly flushed face. The child was getting more astonished, slightly tilting his head and actually thinking about what that meant.

Unable to catch what Siska was trying to say, the boy instead candidly asked, “Kok looks like a lot of food, huh? Doesn't it matter? Isn't the supply said to be thinning?”

The blonde woman was astonished the boy asked that, she slightly sighed and smiled faintly. Fiola looked at the kid exasperatedly from the side, his upper lip slightly going into his mouth and his eyes wide open. Having such a reaction Odo increasingly did not understand what was going on.

“Well, this is just a prank suggestion of Mr. Andreass, I think it's my fault to follow him,” Siska said.

“Force the ignorance of Mr. Odo, he still has not received such an education. Miss knows, her age is still ..” reply Fiola.

“What's wrong, I also don't know myself doing this to the Child Marquess.”

“Do not be low self-esteem, about this everyone has a chance.”

Odo's eyebrows shot up as they continued the conversation without him. Sighing heavily, he interrupted, “What are you talking about?”

“Hmm, it's okay. Later you also know,” said Fiola with a happy smile. It felt like innuendo, again making the child's eyebrows raise.

“So, Mr Odo actually came here for what?” ask the woman with black brown hair. The fox ears that he had hidden with transformation magic started to reappear and twitch.

“Greeting.”

“Hah?” Fiola was startled confused, so was Siska. The two of them stared at each other, then shook their heads and were completely ignorant of what the child was saying.

“More precisely lecturing someone ...” Odo looked at Siska, with a serious expression the boy asked, “What Nanra is there? He didn't run away, ‘kan?”

Siska looks worried hearing that, she hesitantly says, “She is there .., the child is in her room with another.”

“Hmm, then thank goodness.”

Odo seemed to lose interest in it. He started taking out the parchment paper and ink stationery from the Dimensional Bracelet, then started filling it up and got busy with it. Siska was confused to see the child even busied herself, she thought Odo came with the intention of punishing Nanra when the child asked like that.

“What ... You don't want to punish him?” ask Siska.

“That child .., Nanra is the one who stabbed you. Although he was only instigated, but that fact remains.”

Hearing that Odo stopped opening his notebook. He put it up to a height as he sat on the chair. Taking a deep breath, the child felt restless and seemed unwilling to discuss the matter.

“Kak Siska, honestly I am also confused by this problem .... If I could, I wouldn't mind Nanra being taken care of by official law either. There's no reason to protect her .... The reason I asked Miss Lisia not to put her in a prison cell is only one, I don't want this orphanage to be smeared .... Siska knows the reason, right?”

Siska lowered her head, she understood this after having a conversation with Odo at the Main Church earlier. In the plan that the child makes, a good name and a front face are indispensable for success. Siska is quite a well-known person from the Religious Party of the city, if there are rumors of one of his foster children entering bui because the case can be very fatal to the plan.

The atmosphere turned silent instantly, no one spoke anymore and the night breeze that entered through the sidelines of the walls added to the chill. Fiola did not feel that at all, either the cold or the awkward atmosphere that existed. He looked down at Siska, then narrowed his eyes without saying anything.

In the middle of the quiet atmosphere, slowly the door in the room that is connected to the kitchen opens. The girl who was thought to be in her room with the other child was there and listened to all the talk from the kitchen. The striking white hair, the familiar violet blue eyes highlight, as well as the simple appearance of a plain white dress. Odo clearly knew that the girl was Nanra.

“Why are you there?” Siska got up from the seat, looked at the child in a panic and said, “Why don't you obey Brother's words, I told you you should wait in the room with the others until the conversation is over ..”

Nanra showed no guilt at all, either about the Siska ban or the incident at the dock concerning Odo. He stared at the dark black-haired boy and Fiola, showing hatred for the nobility and the upper class. Although after what happened, the hatred for Nanra did not decrease at all.

“Why are you here again?” ask the white-haired girl.

“This you ...” Siska is running out of patience.

Odo got up from his seat abruptly before Siska stepped up, then walked over to the girl. Standing in front and staring at him flatly, the blue-eyed child asked, “Have you been well? See your front teeth are running out of everything...”

“Did you come just want to say that, Mr Child Marquess?”

The girl stared intently, full of overflowing hatred. It was so baseless, just a sense of wrongly directed impingement. Odo understood that, he tried to understand it and resist the annoyance that also began to overflow.

“Hmm, feel absolutely no guilt even though it has happened like that, huh?” asked the black hairdresser in a relaxed tone.

“Taste of guilt? For what?! I even now still wish that you should just die back then!” nanra said with overflowing anger. The girl really did not show her guilt.

“What's not to worry about this place? Can s—”

“Axiety?! I'm not a member of this dilapidated place!? Who would want to!” Appointing Siska, the girl had not known herself to berate, “That hypocritical woman who would have taken me to this place after I lost my family! I am not asking to be helped at all! Anyway ...”

“Again?”

“This is all the fault of the nobles ..., if only they were more competent .. surely My mother and father were still alive. I hate the nobles!!”

Odo stared increasingly flat, listening but feeling no empathy for the girl. Sighing a little, he said, “I know that, you've previously told me.” Putting on a grim face and slightly squinting, he again said, “But ..., you who are this smart and already understand those problems should know that stabbing people is a crime, right?”

“It ...” The girl fell silent, she could not argue and realized that it was indeed a crime.

“You know ..., Nanra .... Stabbed from behind it was very painful, what else with such a poisonous knife.”

“...” Nanra stepped back, feeling guilty about it.

“Because of that ..., at least you know the consequences, don't you?” Staring low at the girl before him, Odo began to let out the murky thoughts he was holding back. He said it like that not for logical reasons, but completely carried away by emotion.

“Are you going to imprison me ... with your authority as a noble child?”

The thread of patience of the black hairdo broke off. He scrunched his face and was consumed by emotions that started to rise to the surface. With annoyance, he said, “Haaah! Why do you hate such nobles so much? Are you stupid?”

“Their indecision killed my family! They're the fools!”

“You hate wrong .... The ones who killed your family were bandits, why do nobles you hate?”

“Because they bandits are rampant! Because they do not komp—”

Odo stuffed his index and middle fingers into Nanra's mouth before she finished the words, continuing inside until the girl choked and pushed back. “Ugh! Did yan—” Odo scuttle the girl's leg, then drop her on the floor. Asking his body and sitting on it, the boy restrained Nanra from waking up.

“So ..., do you want to say that being in the leader position can give you better results, boy? Do not think just because you already know one or two difficult words you seem to understand everything ..”.

“It ...” Nanra started to tremble, Odo was actually looking at her darkly.

“You know, Nanra .... Because of your stupid stabbing— with me in the harbor, how many people do you think are dead? How many people do I have to kill when you do that stupid thing? Brave? You must have thought that your actions were their representative, but .. I know people like you ..... You ... regret after stabbing me, don't you? Betrayed like trash ..”

“The people of Moloia Kingdom are wrong! Not me!”

Odo was completely out of patience upon hearing that, he stared low with a dark fury. In a hoarse voice, he said, “Now even blame others for their own mistakes? You are shameless! Radahan ...”

“Whispering! What do you know about people like us! We are weak, we have no power or strength! All we can do is something like this! We are always oppressed and devastated! Do you know how we feel!!?”

“I don't know .... I know how people like you feel .... But ... At least you know that it is only used by them, right?”

“Not! I'm not being used! I used them! I will definitely kill you!”

Hearing the words of the stubborn girl, Odo put on a face of giving up tiredly. He in his mind decided to stop convincing the girl with words. Clenching his hands and raising them, the boy planned to launch a fist into Nanra's face.

“Master, tungg—!!”

Fiola's voice was not heard by Odo, the boy punched hard into the girl's face and blinded her with bruises. The buark! Raising his hand again, he beat and beat her until the girl's face bled and her own hand was injured.

Fiola hurriedly stopped Odo and separated him from Nanra. The girl curled up in fear and Siska immediately hugged her. With the look of Odo's eyes very wrathful, despite having been held by Fiola the boy kept clenching his hands until bleeding.

“Kill me? Let me kill you, YOU MORON!! Maybe when your stupidity dies it can be healed! Let me rip your mouth off! I cut your throat!! I cut off your tongue so you don't talk like that anymore!”

Odo completely lost his calm mind, the usually calm and patient child was furious. He thrashed and tried to lung at Nanra, if not held back as hard as Fiola might he would have killed the girl.

Gaining such wrath, Nanra trembled in fear and curled up in Siska's arms. He didn't know that Odo would be so scared when he was angry. His stubbornness changed with regret and fear, he could do nothing but stare in trepidation from behind Siska's embrace.

“What do you do, quickly take the child away first!!” said Fiola.

Soon Siska held Nanra, then ran out of the room to protect the child from Odo's rampage. “Release! Let me teach that fool a lesson!”

Odo thrashed, until accidentally scooped Fiola's head hard and blinded him bloody.  Keeping the child in custody, Fiola did not let go. He knew that Odo would really kill the girl in the present condition, and he would regret it if he did so.

“Tuan Odo .., please calm down ...”

.

.

.

A few minutes later, little by little Odo's anger began to subside and he stopped struggling. Fiola stopped hugging her from behind as the boy began to limp, he stared grimly at the child sitting languidly on the floor.

The room looked chaotic, jars and snacks scattered, ink splattered and tables upturned due to Odo's tantrum. Blood dripped out of Fiola's head, the woman took the chair lying down and sat down until it held her wounded head.

“Tuan ..., what is your purpose for coming to this place to rampage? If so, it is better we go to the inn just now ..”.

Odo did not wail, he sat on the floor bowing his head. Looking up at the Huli Jing, the boy said, “Sorry .., I. Though I tried this hard ..., but why should I be scolded like that? Why did he say that ...? What ... because I was born into a noble family?”

Fiola looked up at the expression of the child. Tears dripped down his cheeks, like a helpless little boy. Completely weak, unprotected and extremely fragile. Seeing that expression in Fiola's chest felt something throbbing, hurt and made him put on a regretful face.

Getting up from the chair, Fiola immediately knelt before Odo and hugged him tightly. “Sorry ..., Sir. I'm not aware that all this time you've been pushing yourself .... Though from earlier I was next to Mister and knew what you had done, but instead said like that,” said Fiola.

Kreeks!

The sound of the door opening, and it made them slightly flinch. Looking in that direction, the other children of the orphanage peeked in dismay. Nesta, Daniel, Firkaf, and the twins Erial and Mila all came out of the room after hearing the noise Odo made.

Seeing them staring in fear, Odo immediately wiped away the tears and stopped putting on a sad face. Smiling stiffly, he said, “Sorry to make an uproar. Does that bother you?”

They all went into the room. Standing before the door, the five children looked at the chaotic room in confusion. Daniel asked, “Why is this room? Did something happen, Mr Witch?” The red-eyed boy who showed absolutely no fear to his face. He walked forward, then again asked, “Why ... was Kak Siska running out carrying the Nanra?”

Odo was silent on the question, he turned his face away in guilt. The twins Erial and Mira run towards Odo, then join Fiola in his arms. Staring at Daniel, the twins simultaneously said, “Kak Dani is evil! Don't be a Witch Tuna prank!” Odo was surprised to hear the words of the two innocent children.

Raising his face and really looking into their eyes, Odo shed tears and regretted what he had done before. It could not be repeated, his mistake when carried away by anger and hit Nanra, and said like it made his heart hurt. It was more painful than him being stabbed with a knife, felt deep and really made his breath tight.

They are just plain, pure and follow what their hearts say. The children of the orphanage were still children, as was Nanra. Saying such a thing and snapping it with anger, let alone committing violence was the uncivilized act that Odo hated the most. Doing such a thing really made her feel contemptible.

A glimpse of the memories from his previous life flashed through Odo's head. It was when he had a fight with the neighbor's child and in the quarrel he made the neighbor's child battered. It was just an ordinary quarrel of a small child, very natural and often happened to children his age at that time. But when the parents of the neighbor's son protested to his parents, Odo was really scolded by his own two parents.

He was slapped violently in front of the neighbor's son and neighbor. In his own home, he felt like there was no place to live. Under the pretext, “You embarrassed Mom and Dad! Why can't you be a good boy?!” Both his parents beat him up and defended the neighbor's son more, they chose to defend them rather than their own child.

Odo felt that it was despicable and did not want to be parents like them. But doing something more or less similar to such violence, Odo really felt that it was not at all that different from his hated nature.

“Sorry .... I'm sorry ...”
