Re:START/If {Book 1.0}
Chapter 68: Aswad 15 of 15 “According to dream” (Part 01)

Silent in a corridor, seeing and hearing the people talking lies in their own shadows. So attached and whispering to each other, exposing the truth among the nonsense that comes out of the mouth.

It was a corridor in an educational building. White ceramic floor and monochronous colored walls. Some cameras appear in the corner, a form of supervision for everyone in the scope of education. Among the liars who claimed to be hardworking, a young man who showed absolutely no hard work stood by a window.

Grey shirt and black material pants, then a plain red tie and pantofel shoes. With the appearance of an educated and classy person at that time, he gave a flat look towards the people below who were sitting in the garden.  On the third floor, he looked out of the window without saying anything and just stared down at everyone.

“A forced lie, a reality that is drifting away. Unknowingly infiltrate the heart and tear without mercy …. The world is full of manipulations that feel perfect. Drama, tragedy, romance, as well as various other kinds⸻ The Gods view human struggle as only a story for their benefit.”

After saying such a thing with deep intent, the black-haired youth stopped staring out. He put his right hand into his pants pocket, then walked along the groove of people in the place. When he reached the room where he was studying, he stopped and looked inside.

Inside the room, people his age were sitting neatly, listening to the speech of an old lecturer who was giving learning materials. Seeing the young man open the door and look inside with a grim expression, almost everyone stared at him and seemed to wonder why he was just standing there and not coming in right away.

The lecturer who was teaching walked up to him and asked something, looking anxious to see the expression of one of his students. But before he could approach and pat him on the shoulder, the young man faced the lecturer and took the handgun out of his pocket. It was pointed straight at the old man.

Everyone was panicking and panicking. But a few seconds later, some people laughed a little because they thought it was just a toy gun. Once again the lecturer asked the young man to calm down, while walking closer and asked him to sit down for a moment to explain why he looked so gloomy.

“Pak, what do you think man is? Why is destiny always imposed on us? Why are we in this world and have to obey the script made by God? If God is loving, why did he create hell? If indeed he created the world for human habitation, why did He give suffering to human beings by calling it a trial?”

The consecutive questions sounded absurd to ask at the time, then of course the lecturer did not listen to him and continued to persuade the young man to calm down. But when the trigger was pulled and the projectile shot through the lecturer's shoulder, the tense atmosphere broke into tension.

Some people ran towards him and tried to restrain the young man. But without a doubt, he immediately pulled his gun and shot everyone who ran towards him. On the vital part, very accurately and make them collapse instantly.

Closing the door and locking it from the inside, the young man again pointed his weapon at the Lecturer and asked, “Rebellion over destiny is the essence of a human struggle, death is the highest form of rape. I stand here and do this to fight destiny. From that base, if I kill Mr now ... roughly leaning in which direction?”

The young man stopped pointing at the Lecturer, pointed the weapon at his own head and asked again, “If it is like this, where will it also be headed? Please answer this question, Mr. Lecturer ..”

The lecturer looked pale, hesitant to answer what he looked like because what he knew would definitely increase the percentage of the young man pulling the trigger. Even so, after being pressed he had to still give an answer.

The old man said that none of the two was a form of resistance to fate. Whether it's shooting himself in the head, the lecturer, or even everyone in the room, it's just an escape from fate.

The answer made the young man satisfied, seemed to smile thinly and began to lower the gun from the head. But because of this, he felt he had to do it and put his firearm forward. Without any warning or hesitation, he pulled the trigger. The head of the lecturer was immediately hollow, the projectile penetrated until his brain and body immediately collapsed backwards.

Everyone inside the room shouted, instantly panicking in fear. Some were immediately curled up, some were running and trying to hold the young man back, and some were just shivering in fear. Once again with no hesitation, the young man pointed a gun at them and pulled the trigger.

First he killed those who tried to attack him until the ammunition ran out. Dropping the firearm, he took the other gun out of the left pocket of his pants and re-shot the one that was still in the room. Exactly 15 shots to kill 13 people including the lecturer in the room.

The sound of the door being broken down started to sound, the crowd outside made the young man turn his head with a flat eye. Walking between the dead body and the pool of blood on the white ceramic floor, he put on a flat smile and stopped right in front of the door.

With the remaining one bullet in his weapon, the young man pointed it to his forehead. While smiling lightly he said, “How, my self. Is this message clearly conveyed to you? Here you are, a murderer and a rebel of the world. Remember these words of mine well, myself in the future …. No need to feel guilty, you are not a person who deserves to feel that way.

He closed his eyes, stopped smiling and looked sad. While slowly pulling the trigger he again said, “Rebellion until the end! Take the path you want even if you have to kill the Gods! Then understand this, sin will never disappear even if the world ends! Sin can only be redeemed by other sins, not forgiveness. Although the world forgives, those who curse you will never...”

With the last bullet, he shot himself in the head and ⸻

۞۞۞

The voice of the crowd woke him up. Slowly opening his eyes and gazing forward, what Odo first saw were the nobles and conglomerates. They pondered in groups at welcoming parties, talking about business or trivial issues to make relations with each other.

He looked around, observing the magnificent scenery in the room that made himself at first glance feel alien in his own residence. Unusual fancy decorations, different layouts, and also strangers who were almost all the first time he met.

Grey shirt suit and black material pants, red cravat tie and leather shoes. With his unusual formal attire, Odo Luke is in a saturated mood with no idea what to spend his time on.

Closing his eyes for a moment, he recalled a few dozen minutes ago during the initial session of the event and the guests in the room approached him with fake smiles attached to their faces. It seems clear just want to make a relationship, look for face, and consider Odo is only a small child that can be used.

Recalling this made him momentarily feel annoyed, opened his eyes and stared flatly at the nobles who occasionally glanced at him. Most of those inside the Main Hall were only official representatives as well as the spouses they brought, whereas for the guards just waiting outside as they were not allowed to enter.

At the tables, all snacks such as bread, sweets, and other served foods are almost untouched as if unattractive to guests. Aside from having been fed after arriving at Luke's residence, they seemed busy talking to each other while carrying only a glass of red wine that had been drunk a little.

The two Hosts seemed to be busy serving the guests, having a conversation that could be said to be unusual. Mavis's face looked a little upset following the guests' conversation, while Dart only smiled slightly and only replied in short sentences because he did not really understand what the other nobles were talking about.

In the welcoming party, Odo did not talk much like when discussing with the King. He simply followed the predetermined protocol for the prospective male fiance, then only spoke as necessary and seemed to avoid over-contracting with the guests.

After the initial session, the young man only needed to be in the party room until the event was over. Because of this, he was in one corner of space and seemed to emit an atmosphere that was difficult to approach.

At first glance staring at the full wine glass he was holding, the young man saw a reflection of himself in the dark red water. A flat gaze with a grim expression, so tired and saturated because of something.

“I am indeed not suitable for an event like this,” muttered the young man.

Hearing his complaint, Arca Rein approached the young man with black hair and asked, “Why is it even here, shouldn't you be with Princess Arteria?”

Looking towards the tanned blonde youth, Odo glanced at his astonishment and in his mind wondered why Arca should approach him now.

The suit that the Eldest Son of the Rein Family wore for pasta was borrowed from Luke's Residence, so he wore clothes that were not much different from what Odo wore. But on the tie, he wears a dark blue color.

“You yourself how? Wouldn't it be better now that you're with Mrs Calista? He rarely goes outside and takes part in events like this, right?”

Arca turned to Calista, who was seen with her husband, Thomas Rein. After sighing lightly he also said, “The mother has been accompanied by Ayahanda. It doesn't feel good if I interrupt.”

“What is so right?” Odo gave a small glance, then with a faint smile said, “Not unexpectedly it could be Uncle Thomas and Mrs Calista hoping you join them, you see.”

“Seriously you want to talk about me continue?” Arca drank a little wine in the wine glass she brought, then turned to Odo and asked again, “When I arrived, it was very surprising …. Father said, you had an important conversation with King Gaiel and the Heads of the Family, ‘ right? What conversation is it?”

Odo turned to him and asked back, “You weren't told your father?”

“Eng ...”Arca just shook her head, feeling that the conversation was too important so she could not know. But out of curiosity, the Eldest Son of the Rein Family kept asking, “Can you tell me that, Odo?”

Odo momentarily fell silent, thinking of some possibilities that could happen if he told him to Arca. Feeling indebted to many things and having inconvenienced the Rein Family Son, Odo looked back flat ahead and in his mind decided.

“Only about engagement. They knew about my demonic aura and had wanted to cancel it out, more or less like that.”

“Ap⸻!!?”

Odo's simple answer made Arca's eyebrows twitch, facing towards him and staring with a look of surprise. Understanding the place and situation, he only took a deep breath and showed an astonished expression as the young man in black hair was still able to relax like that.

“You don't need to worry, it went well .. Her engagement is not off.”

“You know, Odo …. That's not what surprised me.” The statue momentarily looked up straight, looked anxious and asked again, “Why don't you hide it? Time in the city of Mylta I do occasionally feel the evil air from you and do not mind it, but if the nobles here know⸻”

“It doesn't matter either ...” Odo turned his head and looked straight at Arca, put on a thin smile and said, “King Gaiel and Archbishop who is likely most resisted already know that, and they have no problem with it.”

“If other nobles? Mr Garados and Mr Jakall? They're also in talks, aren't they?”

“Hmm, they also already know ...”

Odo turned to the guests, looking at Princess Arteria and Prince Ryan who looked sticky to the King. Although some important guests approached the King to talk about something, the two of them since the party began did not stay away from the King.

The bottom of his sister was being stared at by Odo, Prince Ryan glanced sharply and showed an expression of hostility. Odo could only put on a faint smile, feeling that the Princess' sister was too protective.

While looking back at Arca, Odo Luke put on a faint smile and said, “The problem is now only two, the Prince and Princess Arteria.”

“Hmm, what happened to them?” The statue also stared at the two people mentioned by Odo, starting to feel the same way when they saw the two of them were too attached to the King.

“Prince doesn't seem to like me, then Princess Arteria is also somehow indifferent to this engagement.”

“Huh, just that anyway.” Arca let out a light sigh, put on a small smile and patted Odo on the shoulder with her left hand. With a facial expression that quickly turned serious, Arca narrowed her gaze and said, “Although she does not like it, inevitably the Princess and the Prince must obey their father's orders ….. Weddings among the nobility are indeed mostly of that kind, Odo.”

The words again reminded the Only Begotten Son of the Luke Family that it was indeed the life form of the nobles. Feeling a little dislike of it, the young man in black hair looked away and asked, “If Uncle Thomas marries you to a woman you don't like, what⸻?”

“I still will obey him,” replied Arca before Odo completed the question. Drinking wine in a glass until it runs out, the young man with bright green eyes said again, “Ayahanda and Mother have been willing to sacrifice their household for the sake of the kingdom. I cannot continue to be selfish ..”

“Hmm, I think you can say that because you never really fell in love with anyone.” Odo walked towards one of the servants on duty in the corner, putting the wine glass still full with a barrage of empty glasses on the table where the servant was standing guard. Looking back at Arca, the young man with black hair said, “It doesn't matter you're selfish, all this time instead of you living that way?”

Arca seemed annoyed to hear the insinuation, then while walking towards Odo he asked, “Makanya from now on I want to change! Why are you talking like that, Odo? After all, have you ever been in love to the point of saying so?”

“Pernah ...”

The answer made Arca surprised, the joke slowly became a serious thing. Seeing the expression on Odo's face, he knew that the young man with black hair was not joking at all.

“Hmm ...” Arca tried to think of his words as mere jokes, then lightly asked, “What is it? Where is he now? I wonder who can make someone like you fall in love.”

“He is no longer in this world,” replied the young man as he walked towards the main door of the hall.

Hearing what he said, Arca was shocked and speechless. The waiter who stood guard at the empty glass was shocked to hear it. Arca wanted to chase after him and ask further. However upon seeing Odo's grim face before opening the hall door, footsteps came to a halt and Arca simply fell silent on the spot.

The young man left the event room, leaving his duty to stay in place until the event was over.

Okay well?

Not stingy, it's just that personally I don't like people who like to break the boundaries of freedom in terms of work.

If you want a promo, please go elsewhere or to other social media.

There is a special place on Facebook.

Well, right now I can't.

Btw, the update schedule will change again. It will continue parallel until it is over. Season II of this series has entered the manufacturing stage.

In other words, I try to update every day. Although later there will be some who will be hollow.
