112. Regretting

Joel felt all the heavy weight fall right over his head. His heart was shaken violently after hearing what Bram had just said. A great regret slowly filled his heart.

"If you know what hacking is, why don't you use your skills to figure it out? Are you so proud of all your thoughts?"

"You're just using your ability to hack into apartment cctv and think about what really never happened,"

"You're just too afraid that Ariel will be the same person who hurt you that you've forgotten the fact that Ariel feels the same way as you do, too,"

"The only thing different is that he's completely out of his comfort zone, opening his heart completely to accept you, while you're still bound by your fear,"

"Coward,"

Joel couldn't get a word back for a defense. Everything Bram said pierced his heart deeply and it was the truth he always denied.

"Do you know that too? He looks like a living doll in the last few days? But he could still say nothing happened with a smile on his face,"

"Now, tell me where he is?" ask Bram.

"D-He's gone,, a-a-I'm going to his apartment," Joel replied.

"No," Bram shook his head strongly.

"He hasn't left this beach yet" Bram said, leaving Joel staring in confusion.

"The car is still in its usual place" he continued.

"W-What??" welcome Joel to surprise.

"But, he left more than half an hour ago" Joel said.

His heart began to be filled with worry. All the words he had ever uttered seemed to be buzzing in his ears. It re-spinned in his mind.

"Where's the place she really likes around here?" ask Bram.

"Haa,,,???" Joel blinked confused, his mind seemed to be deadlocked.

"Think of something stupid!!" hardik Bram is upset.

"He must have a place he really likes here, and he must have gone there" Bram said impatiently.

Thinking for a moment, Joel fell silent for a while, thinking of one place that Ariel really liked to spend time in.

"The cliffs,," Joel sizzled.

"What's? What do you mean by cliffs?" ask Bram.

"There are rock cliffs that lead to the sea and some are above the sea, when the water starts to rise, almost half of the rock will be covered by sea water" Joel explained.

"We are there" said Bram, who was answered with a quick nod.

Joel pointed out the direction where the cliff was, and they began to run towards it, hoping that nothing would happen to them.

"Why are you doing this, Bram?" joel asked in the middle of their run.

"I know what you're thinking, this might be a situation where I can get her back to me, but she loves you not love me,"

"I just don't want the fools I know to feel the remorse I feel" Bram said.

"If something happens to her,,,"

"I will kill you" said Bram without looking.

Joel gave a quick glance, then refocused on the road ahead of him still running.

"There," said Joel pointing at the cliff.

Bram stared at the cliff that was quite high. Above the cliff silhouette someone is seen staring at the sea that stretches in front of him.

The thing that made them surprised at that moment was when someone was also there and approached him, before long one more person also approached the silhouette they believed was Ariel. Without cueing, they increase their running speed, trying as quickly as possible to reach the top of the cliff.

Ariel stepped slowly to reach the edge of the cliff that Joel had shown her and became her favorite spot ever since. He took a deep breath by closing his eyes, then re-opened his eyes.

The strong gust of wind that hit his face could not even help to wipe away his rolling tears.

Smiling bitterly at the sea in front of him, as if he asked something that had not been answered.

'Everything will be fine, I just need to close everything again and vow to no longer open my heart to anyone, ' Ariel's inner self.

"Why am I satisfied now,"

The skeptical voice of someone he knew so well rang out from behind his back, making him look up and stare at someone standing not far from him, smiling haughtily and triumphantly.

"Do whatever you want to do, Christina," greeted Ariel lethargic.

"With you not hurting her heart alone, it's enough for me" he added.

"Currently, your naive nature sounds really annoying" Christina snorted.

Christina stepped closer to Ariel who had turned back to her, staring at the sea in front of them.

"Do you want to know something?" christina smiled.

Ariel was just unmoved, seemingly uninterested in what Christina said.

"You and Bram were part of my plan" Christina said with a grin on her face.

"What???" Ariel exclaimed in shock, quickly turning towards Christina.

"Should I tell you everything from the beginning?" said it.

"Where should I start?" he asked again as he put two fingers on his chin, looking at Ariel with a triumphant smile.

"I'm sure you already know about the sabotage, and then do you also know that I persuaded your students to lure you to Aphrodisiacs?"

"Only the businessman's man came accidentally, but added perfect, unfortunately_,,,"

"The plan failed miserably because she was just as naive as you. And then, the kidnapping? It also failed because of your protege who somehow came on time. And musical instruments in the studio? It also failed because Joel helped you, and I ended up using Bram as the last pawn, and,, Voilaaa,,,"

"It worked, now Joel doesn't even listen to you at all even if you wait in front of his house until morning,"

"I'm no longer worried that you're going to tell Joel the truth, he's not going to believe anything you say" Christina said.

"Why? What mistake did I make with you?" ask Ariel.

"Because I love Joel, and he loves you," replied Christina haughtily.

"It's not love, it's just your ambition" Ariel said.

"I would never be willing if you approached Joel based on your ambition" he added.

"really? And you will tell her the truth which will result in her hating you even more" replied Christina cynically.

Christina laughed contentedly, saying everything with a sinless face. While Ariel widened her eyes with a face of disbelief. He did not even think that everything that happened was planned, even though he had felt strange about the series of coincidences that occurred.

Still he was surprised if it happened because Christina did it

"Great,,,,!!!!"

The sound of applause accompanied by the tone of a sneering voice interrupted them making the two of them simultaneously turn their heads.

"You're doing very well" he added.

"Jessi,,,?" hiss Ariel.

Ariel's eyes widened in disbelief seeing Jesica smiling towards him. His steps got closer to Ariel, and hit when their distance was only a few inches.

Just as Jesica was in front of Ariel, Ariel suddenly felt a strong urge against her. Within a split second Ariel felt her body float and continued to slide down, making it realize someone was pushing her off a cliff.

Ariel's body floated, until finally his body was captured by the ocean below. Panic spread throughout his body as the waves felt pulling his body into the deeper parts of the sea.

"Hupf,,,"

His hands tried to climb to the surface, his legs continued to kick desperately, but his movements actually made his body more interested down.

Whether or not how much water had been swallowed, Ariel began to squeeze her lungs filled with water, her hands and feet began to limp, and her legs began to wither, until finally stop moving right sounding something hit the surface of the sea as if someone fell into the sea with him.

'I could swim even if it was just a little. At least I can float on the surface of the water. I really suck, Ariel's inner.

His consciousness began to fade along with his body which kept getting lower and pushed by the waves. Until the darkness hugged Ariel's body completely
