61. New relationship

During the day, someone pressed the bell of Ariel's apartment as she was busy with the score in front of her.

Sleeveless casual clothes with shorts and clamped hair originally looking messy did not bother Ariel as she walked towards the door with the paper in her hand.

He slipped his pen from his hand into his ear as he opened the door. His eyes were still staring at the paper in his hand as the door opened.

"There's something I can bant_,,,"

Ariel's sentence was interrupted as she lifted her face and saw Joel standing in front of the door widening her eyes slightly as she looked at him.

"Akh," cried Ariel in shock

"BAAMM,,,,!!!"

Ariel immediately closed the door in panic. I didn't think Joel would come by noon. He just knows it's still hours working for Joel.

For a while, Joel was stunned to stare at Ariel with an appearance he had never seen before.

'How can he still look so cute with such an appearance?' inner Joel.

"Hey, Ariel, open the door! Why did you close it again before I came in?"

The sound of Joel's screams rang out from behind the door with a slow knock on the door.

'Why should he come when I'm like this? I really look messy, ' Ariel wrote in her heart.

"W-What are you doing here?" ariel replied which also raised her voice.

"Are we going to talk in this way yelling at each other like this, Ariel?" ask Joel.

"Wait, just give me ten minutes" Ariel said.

"My time isn't that much, open the door now" Joel ordered.

"A-What? Wait, then five minutes," asked Ariel again.

"Now Ariel!," said Joel.

"At least give me time to change clothes" Ariel said.

"No need, I won't be here long because I have to get back to work" Joel replied.

"At any rate, you've been wearing clothes, not without clothes" Joel said.

"Joell,,,!!!" exclaiming Ariel.

"Ha ha ha, open it, I'm not biting," teased Joel.

"I just don't want to open it more and more after hearing you say that" Ariel welcomed.

"I'm really going to run out of time if you don't open the door right away" Joel said.

"I promise I won't complain about anything" cut Joel quickly.

Ariel tidied up a bit of her clothes and slowly opened the door. Showing more clearly Joel who stood in front of the door with a paper bag in one hand.

"You're still pretty, what are you worried about?" joel brought his face closer to Ariel's.

"Shut up,,,!!" ariel turned her face.

'Ukh,, shame, ' Ariel in his heart.

Ariel's face began to meet red, making Joel more and more want to tease him. With a quick movement, Joel gives a quick kiss on the lips before stepping in. It made Ariel flinch and immediately followed Joel with her eyes.

"Joel,,!!" ariel's protest covered her lips with the back of her hand.

"I came just to deliver lunch, and lunch with you" Joel said, ignoring the protest Ariel had made.

As Joel headed to the counter table to prepare lunch, he saw a table in front of the sofa with sheets of paper on it, scattered across the table.

The ball-shaped crumpled paper also existed in several corners of the floor, it was obvious that it was thrown with origin.

"What happened to your apartment? Last I saw, not this bad," asked Joel in surprise.

Joel grabbed one of the papers he had wrapped near his feet, then opened it. Some of the beam notes are neatly written but also many scribbles in it.

In another paper, the beam notes are connected by some lines that he does not understand. His forehead frowned to read the small writing below each note.

"This what?" ask Joel.

"Pratitor," replied Ariel.

"I'm doing arrangements for the song Ken is going to perform" Ariel explained.

"Haa, it looks like my head will explode if I face this every day" joel stared at the paper in his hand with a few flashes.

On the other side of the table, there were three empty coffee cups. Seeing that, Joel immediately looked at Ariel.

"Do you drink coffee alone?"pointing at the cup.

"It won't be good for your body. It's even half a day" continued Joel.

"I woke up at three in the morning, and couldn't sleep. Then remember that I haven't picked a song for Ken. But, it just ended in a dead end," Ariel explained laughing awkwardly.

"And haven't eaten yet?" ask Joel.

Ariel nodded slowly.

"I just realized it's noon now" replied Ariel.

Joel put the paper bag on the counter table and took out the contents. Start preparing for lunch, while Ariel sits in a round chair in front of the table.

"It looks like I came at the right time" said Joel.

"You should call me first if you want to come" Ariel protested. "At least I can tidy up this place a bit," Ariel continued.

"And can't get a chance to see you like this?" goda Joel looked at Ariel from top to bottom.

Shorts and sleeveless tops showed her pure white skin, her long raised brown hair and clamped with origin, the strands of hair that failed in the clasps dangled in her cheek line.

"Sorry, I prefer to come this way" Joel added with a grin on his face.

"Well, we eat first, after this I have to go back to the hospital," said Joel thrust a plate of food at Ariel.

"When do you have time to cook?" ariel asked before bribing her lunch.

"Ehmm, potatoes?" ariel muttered while chewing her food.

"The morning before leaving, and the food I brought can be connected to electricity to keep the food warm" Joel said.

Joel began to bribe his own food, while continuing to steal a glance at Ariel who was enjoying his homemade food voraciously. It made her happy just with Ariel liking what she made with her own hands.

"Ehm,, Ariel,?" call Joel.

"Uhm,,?" Ariel raised her eyebrows staring at Joel still chewing food in her mouth.

"What-is,, is now,,, we,,,, uhmm,, that,," Joel rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

"What do you really want to say?" ask Ariel.

"Ukh,, that, that, I just, I want to know. Uhmm, are we now,,,"

Joel again ran out of words and hung up his sentence. Looked at Ariel in the eye, then looked down.

"Joel,,?" call Ariel.

Joel raised his face and saw Ariel staring at him.

"Why do you look like a boiled crab now?" ariel could not help but laugh. "When you come you look very confident" he added.

"Ariel,,,!" joel protest.

"Pft, sorry, ha ha ha,, well, well, well, I listen. Say,!" pinta Ariel stopped her laughter and folded her hands on the spell.

"Are we now,, ekh, no, are you now,,," Joel again felt nervous.

He wondered if it was the right time to ask that question? Is that too rushed?

"No, forget it" said Joel quickly.

Joel went back to eating the food in front of him in silence.

Ariel leaned her face, her hands outstretched and placed them on Joel's cheeks. Lead him to look at her.

"You know? I feel bad when you come and I'm in this way. It's like _,,,"

"I like whatever you look like, Ariel. In my eyes, you're still beautiful with your looks" Joel said.

"Because you can make me feel comfortable in a fast time and I'm still myself" Ariel continued.

Joel smiled faintly, returning the gaze Ariel had shown for him.

"Is our relationship a lover? Is that what you want to say?" ariel asked with a gentle smile as she lowered her hand.

"You, don't mind about that?" joel asked a little doubtfully.

"I mean, I don't want to force or urge you into a relationship that you don't want to,,,"

"Do you doubt my feelings for you?" cut Ariel.

"What,?? Of course not, why are you asking that silly question?" hatch Joel.

"That's exactly what I wanted to ask. Why are you asking me something ridiculous?" ariel replied asking.

"But, if you really want to keep asking, then the answer is 'Yes', '" Ariel smiled.

Joel placed his hand on Ariel's hand, then squeezed it gently.

"You know? I thought I couldn't be happier after yesterday, but you proved me wrong. I feel happier than I was yesterday" said Joel.

"Why, I can say the same for you now" replied Ariel.

They clean their tables and cutlery when they are done.

"Joel, then,,!" call Ariel when Joel is at the door ready to leave.

"Yes? What's?" joel turned around.

"If you're at work, don't come to my apartment_,,,"

"Why? You don't like it?" cut Joel.

"I haven't even finished what I wanted to say" Ariel said.

"I'll meet you at the hospital, so you don't have to see me if you want us to have lunch together" Ariel explained.

"But_,,,"

"You have a great responsibility to do with someone's life, Joel. Don't ignore that fact" Ariel said.

"I know you take a break and there's another doctor, but it's not always the way you want it, is it?" he added.

"Alright," replied Joel lethargic as he turned his face away.

"Hey," Ariel approached Joel,

Ariel stretched out her hand, led Joel to look at her, then wrapped her hand around Joel's neck.

"Frankly, that childish side of you looks sweet," the teased Ariel smiled.

"You can meet me anytime after work or when you're off. And I'll do the same. I'll see you if I'm on vacation or after work,"

"Will I try to adjust my schedule to yours, is that enough to make you feel better?" ask Ariel.

Joel put his hand on Ariel's waist, and pulled her closer.

"Much better," replied Joel bowing his body.

"In that case, I'll go back to the hospital now" he added.

Joel kissed Ariel on the forehead and left while waving lightly as he entered the elevator that Ariel immediately replied with a smile on his lips.
