Bram keeps the phone nailed to his pants after sending a message to Joel, and switches to Ariel with a glass of water in his hand, then thrusts it at Ariel who is sitting on the sofa to calm his heart.
"What's the matter exactly? Why are you crying?" ask Bram softly.
"It's nothing, sorry to surprise you, and also, I'm sorry to yell at you," Ariel replied smiling as she sipped water from the glass in her hand.
"You can tell me, Ariel. Don't give me a silly answer by saying there's nothing when I've seen it" Bram said.
Ariel just smiled wryly, and laughed discordantly. But it was not enough to stop her tears from rolling back.
"You quarreled with him?" tanya Bram while giving a handkerchief that immediately received Ariel .
"I hope not, I want to digest it, but it's hard to see it, I just need time to rethink what I've seen," ariel said while wiping her tears using a handkerchief from Bram.
"What do you see?" ask Bram.
"He_,,,,"
"With other women?" cut Bram.
Ariel turned her head quickly towards Bram who was putting on a smile, feeling from Ariel's shock that her conjecture was correct.
"What does your point of view say?" ask Bram again.
"I_,,,"
"Did he betray you?" Bram cut out the sentence Ariel was going to say again. Ariel was surprised again.
"Joel's not a breng*sek like me, Ariel. That's the only thing you have to remember" Bram said, sitting next to Ariel.
"He always had a reason for every action, and his explanation always made sense,"
"The reason why you're like this is, you think of him as I used to be" Bram said carefully.
"But what I see is different" Ariel argued.
"What makes it different? He and I were clearly in the same position when you saw us with another woman. The only thing that was different was that he was after you just to give you an explanation" Bram replied.
"Then, why did he have to lie in the past few days?" reply Ariel.
"What makes you think he's lying?" tanya Bram again threw a question.
"He said he was at home when I called him in front of his locked house, he said he was at work when I was just there and he wasn't seen asking for leave," ariel said in between her sobs.
"I'm sure he has a reason for that, and whatever the reason, he doesn't want to worry you" Bram replied. "The reason he lied to you is because he doesn't want you to worry about what he's doing" he added.
Slowly Bram raised his hand, gently rubbing the top of Ariel's head.
"The mistakes I made with you in the past made you think that he was just like me, but I believed him he wouldn't do the lowly things I did to you before" Bram said.
"If I find out what's really going on, will you allow it?" ask Bram.
"You mean, talk to him?" ask Ariel.
"That's too simple, Ariel," Bram said.
"Of course I looked for all the things related to the smallest part, but I searched secretly, including finding out about Christina," said Bram.
"Christina?" ariel frowned.
"Why him?" ariel was confused.
"Because he was the one who sabotaged your students at that time" said Bram.
"How is that possible?" ariel's rebut widened his eyes.
"That's the truth, and I've been investigating. I'm guessing, the person you saw with Joel earlier was him, was I wrong?" guess Bram.
"That's,, it's him, but_,,,,"
Ariel could not continue her sentence, feeling heavy to believe that Christina deliberately wanted to embarrass herself.
"But why?" Ariel asked again, still finding it difficult to digest what he just heard.
"After hearing this, you can guess, right? Why was she there with Joel?" ask Bram.
"It's hard to believe, how could he do this?" hiss Ariel.
"A person with ambition can do anything, Ariel. And you know more about that. If you deal with it with anger, it's the same as letting him win, because I'm sure this is his goal to do that,"
"I assumed she knew you were coming, and made you see what Joel was doing with her, even though I still didn't know what they were doing,"
Ariel stared at Bram's amber bead, feeling the great change in Bram, his gentle demeanor even better than the last time he knew Bram. His wise side warms his heart. He seemed to have a figure that could protect him like a big brother.
The figure of an older brother who was able to cool the anger in his heart, all the ambitions that once existed in his eyes seemed to disappear without a trace.
A thin smile adorning Ariel's lips, she felt much better thanks to Bram's help which allowed her to see the problem from various angles, and draw unemotional conclusions in it.
Ariel sipped her drink again and put her glass on the table, then looked back at Bram who was still staring at her.
"Thank you, Bram," Ariel said in a heartfelt tone.
"No need to thank him, you just need to make up with him, and continue your love story," continued Bram lightly laughing.
"Do you know?" Ariel again threw the question with widened eyes.
"I realized it when we got together with Charlie at Joel's house, and I appreciated it when Joel decided not to tell us about your relationship" Bram said.
"Let's think about it, she, ugh, to be honest, I'm actually lazy to say good things about her" Bram grumbled.
"Herrrr,,," Bram shuddered. " I get goosebumps hearing my own words, just make sure she doesn't hear this, or I'll strangle her,"
All Bram's grunts made Ariel fail to hold back the laughter. Ariel laughs loosely realizing Bram also cares for Joel even though they always fight every time they meet.
"Finally, this smile came back," Bram sighed touching Ariel's cheek, and smiled gently.
"I feel a lot better, and it's thanks to you" Ariel said.
"That's what I'm supposed to do," Bram replied wiping away the rest of Ariel's tears with his thumb.
"I hope I don't see any tears like this after all" Bram said.
"Am I allowed to stay here?" bram Goda.
Ariel widened her eyes and punched playfully on her shoulder, making Bram laugh again.
"Is that your goal from the beginning?" greet Ariel.
"Hey, I'm just asking. It's possible that you allow it, then it's a bonus for me" Bram replied confidently.
"Bram,," cried Ariel felt Bram's request was ridiculous.
Ariel hits the sofa cushion on Bram's face which immediately catches him and snatches him from Ariel, wanting to save his face from the pillow punch. Make them laugh again.
"It looks like I have to go home now" Bram said after looking at the clock on his wrist.
"I won't stop you" Ariel said.
"Tck, even though I wish you'd prevented me" decak Bram.
"And stay after?" connect Ariel with raised eyebrows.
"Exactly," Bram answered, blinking his eyes.
"Basic, you're very good at taking chances" Ariel said.
"I'm just making the most of what I'm getting" Bram replied confidently.
"Your confidence is too high" said Ariel.
"It would be a problem if my self-confidence wasn't high, wouldn't it?" reply Bram.
"Ugh, why are you so good at replying to me now" Ariel grumbled.
"Because you are the one who taught me that way" Bram replied.
"Hey,,,"
Bram laughed out loud at Ariel's reaction, and the one thing that pleased him was that he saw her smile again after a while and saw her crying.
"You sure it's okay if I leave you alone?" ask Bram to make sure.
"I'm fine, Bram," replied Ariel.
"You're not planning to kill yourself, are you?" ask Bram again.
"Ohh," Bram lamented as Ariel pinched his waist.
"Yes, yes, I understand," he said grimacingly as he rubbed his waist.
"I go home first, call me anytime if you need any help from me, I'll definitely come help you" Bram said.
"Thank you very much, Bram, that means a lot" Ariel said.
Ariel escorts Bram to the door, and immediately closes it after Bram disappears from his sight.
"Hats-chi," Ariel's sneezing voice sounded just as she turned around after closing the door.
"Ugh, why does my body feel bad?" moaning Ariel rubbed her nose which suddenly lost its function.
"Argh, my nose is completely blocked, I can't smell anything" he said as he rubbed his nose.
"Hats-chi,,,"
Ariel sneezed back a few times as she walked towards her room. He cleaned himself before going to bed to rest.
Before going to bed, he prepared a glass of water and a box of tissue on his bedside table, then covered himself with a blanket.
However, when he almost fell asleep, the sound of the doorbell rang, making him kick the blanket from his body and step out of the room lazily.
"Ariell,,,"
The soft sound of a call behind the door instantly stopped Ariel's hand movement as she was about to open the door.
"Joel,,?" hiss Ariel slowly.
"Why did he come on nights like this?" mumbling slowly.
Ariel peeked out of the door and saw Joel standing at the door with a guilty face.
"I can't see him now, I let him go, he'll come home if I ignore him" said Ariel slowly and turned to return to his room.
Ariel pulls back the blanket after turning off her phone, ignoring Joel who is still waiting because he thinks Joel will leave if he does not come out.
The feeling of shivering and his head slightly spinning helped him to sleep faster, until without he realized, he had fallen asleep.
