"Yes, please reset the schedule and give it to me tomorrow!" he said through a cell phone stuck to his ear.
Joel, who was originally about to chim in Ariel's words, had not had time to say anything when he heard a familiar voice for the two of them.
At once the two of them set their eyes and looked at the figure they were familiar with.
"DARCIE,,,"
The owner of the name hung up his phone and immediately turned his head when his name was mentioned in an unusual way that people always called him Adonis.
"Joel, Ariel,,?" greet Darcie with sparkling eyes.
"Well, it's good to see you again" said Darcie.
Darcie got up from her chair and walked over to Ariel and Joel. Just as he was about to sit in an empty seat beside Joel, the owner of the chair came.
"Sorry sir, can we switch seats? It just so happened that they were my old friends and we hadn't seen each other for a very long time" he said with a reassuring face.
"Ah, sure. Please," welcome him kindly.
"I'm really lucky, you're so nice, thank you so much sir," Darcie said with a happy smile.
"I just understand how you feel, please sit down, and I'll move into your chair" the owner said.
"I thank you again. Have a great day" said Darcie.
Darcie smiled widely before sitting next to Joel with her low laugh. While Joel and Ariel try to hold back their laughter.
"I just found out you're a good liar" Ariel said.
"Ssttt, don't let anyone hear it" said Darcie.
"After all, I'm not lying, you're my friends and we haven't seen each other in a long time, have we?" darcie answered with a sinless face.
"Minus with old friend's words" said Joel.
"Ahh, come on," welcome Darcie to embrace Joel as if they are indeed old friends.
"I always couldn't have time to have fun properly, and seeing you two was such a fun unexpected thing" she said.
"Is this the other side of you I don't know about?" ask Ariel.
"I have a lot of things you don't know, you know?" darcie replied with a big grin.
"Then tell me!" darcie looked at the two of them in turn.
"Honeymoon?" darcie Goda.
"Where do you know?" greet Ariel.
"It's awful" said Darcie with a sad face. "You've not invited me, and that's your question?" continued.
"That's not what I mean," Ariel argued.
"We wanted to invite you, but we didn't know how to reach you" Joel said.
"You just got worse when you found out we were married and you didn't come" Ariel said.
"I'd love to come, but I know your wedding on the day I'm on my way to London" Darcie said.
"But if you give me a chance, let me give you something as your wedding gift" he continued.
"no need. With you having the intention to come is more than enough," Joel replied.
"No, no, no, no, I'll give it anyway, but before that, congratulations on your marriage" Darcie said.
Joel greeted him warmly, as did Ariel.
"So where are you going now?" ask Joel.
"Caribbean, they_ah I mean the company that we invited to work with accepted our offer of cooperation, and asked us to come to sign the contract" said Darcie.
"That's good news, congratulations to you," said Joel. "And an unexpected coincidence" he added.
"Continue?" repeat Darcie frowned.
"That's our goal" Joel explained.
"Are you sure this is a coincidence, Bunny?" ariel Sela.
"You mean?" greet Joel with frown.
"Are you sure this isn't a pretext he's making? Just look at how she had so smoothly lied to that person," said Ariel staring fixedly at Darcie who was also staring at him with widened eyes.
'How did he guess correctly?' inner Darcie began to feel misgivings.
Darcie gulped her saliva, staring at Ariel and Joel in turn. He was just about to say his apology before finally hearing Joel chuckle softly.
"Pft, ha ha ha, you should have seen your own face" Ariel said.
"You look like a thief caught red-handed" Ariel said.
"Basic,,,! I thought you couldn't believe my reason for coming to the Caribbean" replied Darcie.
"I don't even have a reason not to believe you" Joel said.
"But I don't understand one thing" Ariel said.
"What?"ask Darcie.
"Searching for opportunities can be any way, you know?" welcome Darcie.
"Although it ended unprofitable, but there's always something we can get out of what we do" Darcie said.
"Well, now that sounds hard to listen to" Ariel said.
"Ha ha ha, I'll say the same to you when you talk about music" Darcie replied.
"Ah, I'm so reminded of something" said Darcie managed to attract the attention of Joel and Ariel.
"In a few weeks, there will be a celebration in my company, and I'd like to invite you two to come. But, I also want to invite you to play the piano or musical instrument that you like," Darcie said staring at Ariel.
"I don't care what the cost of it is, because I invited you as Ariel Esther, not Ariel my friend,"
"So, uhm, would you consider it?" ask Darcie.
Ariel set her sights on Joel who gave her a slow nod.
"We will try to come, but I will only play as your friend" replied Ariel.
"Eehh,,?? B-But, what if people underestimate you?" welcome Darcie.
"Accept or not at all?" ask Ariel.
"I'm very happy to accept it, but I'm afraid that it will affect the image you have" Darcie said.
"I don't accept payment from my own friends" replied Ariel. "And I didn't come alone, what else should I worry about?" coined.
For a while Darcie was stunned, she looked at the couple in front of her in turn.
'They're a perfect couple, ' Inner Darcie.
"You are our friend, and all you ask for is a simple request" Joel said.
"Your attitude makes me wonder, how did you meet?" darcie asked with a amazed face.
"I also wondered why we got this far" Joel said.
"Please be more specific" Pinta Darcie.
"We met as doctors and patients" Joel said.
"Ahh, I get it. Ariel's sick and you're the doctor who took care of her, are you?" ask Darcie.
"Yes," Joel replied.
"It's impressive, I think your story will sound unique" Darcie said.
The three of them laughed lightly together, not sensing they had taken off since a few minutes ago. Carry them and other passengers who have different destinations, some with one destination and some resume other flights after the plane they are boarding lands at the airport later.
They exchanged stories again as if they had known each other for a long time. There's no awkwardness in it.
Their chatter subsides when Joel feels a slight burden on his shoulder, and soon realizes Ariel is asleep by leaning on his shoulder.
"He looked exhausted" said Darcie.
"Well, it's probably because we're tired when we travel by road" Joel said, without giving a more specific explanation.
"Then, you also need to rest, after all this flight still takes a few hours, maybe we will reach the destination in the morning," suggested Darcie still maintaining her soft voice.
Joel nodded and suggested the same. His hands switched on the seat backrest button Ariel sat on and lowered the backrest slightly. All his movements were done carefully, not wanting his small movements to wake Ariel up.
Darcie helps pick up the blankets that are available in the cabin and gives them to Joel.
"Thank you very much" said Joel.
"Not a problem" Darcie replied smiling.
Darcie took another blanket for herself, lowered the back of her chair and leaned her head, looking for a comfortable position for her to sleep in.
Not knowing how long Darcie slept, he woke up again and saw Joel and Ariel still asleep. Joel did not even change his position in the slightest just because he did not want to make Ariel wake up.
'I hope your relationship will last forever, ' Darcie murmured softly.
He again leaned his head back to sleep again, the sky that still looked dark signaled their journey was still long, until he finally fell back asleep.
Some flight attendants go around to make sure each passenger feels comfortable on their way, tidying up the blankets of some passengers who accidentally fell, or offering drinks to passengers who are still awake.
Until, without feeling the time goes fast, Joel looks a little stretched. His eyes slightly opened and saw the sky was no longer as dark as before.
"Sweety, get up, we're almost there" said Joel quietly, patting Ariel on the cheek.
"Mhm,, are we there yet?" ariel asked in a loud voice.
"It's still not, but I'm sure you don't want to miss this" Joel replied smiling.
"Missed what?" ask Ariel.
Joel pointed at the window with his chin, making Ariel turn her body towards the window. His eyes widened, fascinated by what he saw from the window.
