The sound of the doorbell distracts Joel who just finished cooking for lunch.

"Let me open the door" Ariel smiled brightly.

Ariel ignored the astonished look Joel gave her and rushed towards the door.

"Thank you for coming" greeted Ariel happily as the door opened and showed her the female figure behind it.

"I'm the one who should be thankful that you invited me, Ariel," she replied kindly who was none other than policewoman Charlie.

"No, no, you must be busy at this hour, and you still come just to fulfill my invitation, it makes me touched and to be honest, I'm very happy" Ariel replied.

Charlie helps Arriel walk towards the dining room. Joel, who was arranging the dishes, was surprised when Ariel came back with Charlie beside him.

"How did he get here, Ariel?" joel asked unhappy.

"I invited him, wouldn't if we had at least one extra person, the atmosphere would be warmer?" answer Ariel.

"When have you been close to him?" joel looked intently at Charlie.

"Don't look at me like that, Joel,! I have no ill intentions towards Ariel" Charlie smiled, not offended by Joel's slightly rude attitude.

"So, are you right that you know each other?" ariel looked at Joel and Charlie alternately.

"I only know his name" elak Charlie.

"And I doubt it's true" Ariel said.

"What's really going on?" ask Ariel.

"Nothing, we only met in a few cases and it involved him as a doctor" Charlie replied.

"You don't have to say things you shouldn't say, Charlie,!" sela Joel's.

"Don't worry, I know my limits" said Charlie.

"What's wrong with you two? What happened between you?" ariel Cecar.

"It would be better if you stopped asking, Ariel,! This is not something you should know" Joel replied as he stood up.

"Enjoy your lunch, I want to get some fresh air" said Joel, stepping away from them.

'Is he sensitive like this? Everyone knew him as someone who was not sociable and reserved. But in front of me, he was being silly, childish, and had a sense of confidence that was too high to make him become annoying, Ariel's inner self

Ariel and Charlie look at each other and raise their shoulders and laugh.They continue eating them without caring for Joel.

"You don't have to clean this up, Charlie," bans Ariel when they're done eating and Charlie takes care of the table.

"Who will take care of it? You?" god Charlie raised his eyebrows.

"Hey, I can still do it if it's just to clean the table, after all, the one that's injured is just one leg, not my hand" Ariel protested.

"I would feel bad if I let you do that, Ariel," Charlie refused. "I'm so grateful that you invited me to lunch" she continued.

"Of course, aren't we now friends?" greet Ariel.

"It's an honor for me to be friends with you, Ariel" Charlie replied.

"It is precisely me who is honored that I have the friend of a policewoman like you," Ariel sincerely praised.

"And also a musician like you" Charlie replied.

"Where do you know?" ariel was surprised.

"Who doesn't know about Ariel Esther? Where do you think I can get your name?" charlie Goda. "Don't forget this one important thing, Ariel. I'm a cop, and you were involved in an incident that made me have to reveal all your identities" Charlie said.

"But, it looks like Joel doesn't know who you really are" Charlie guessed.

"Well, no, ignore him" replied Ariel.

"I'm so grateful to have a friend like you in this town" Ariel said.

Charlie smiled and hugged Ariel before leaving. Shortly after, Joel returns after Charlie has left.

"Why did you invite him here?" joel protested as soon as he saw Ariel sitting on the sofa.

"What harm? He's my friend," defended Ariel.

"Friends? Since when?" furious Joel.

"Look,!! I don't know what your problem is, and why does this bother you so much? What's wrong with him being my friend?" ariel Cecar.

"Because he's not good for you" said Joel.

"That's what you think, not my judgment," argued Ariel.

"Stop getting into my life by passing her as your stepping stone" forbade Joel.

"you're misunderstanding, you,!" cibir Ariel's. "I was just friends with him, and had nothing to do with you. As you told me, our relationship is only as doctors and patients, isn't it?" coined.

Joel could not say anymore, seeing the calmness that was on Ariel's face, making her soften her attitude.

"I did say that, but I just wanted to keep you safe and unharmed again" Joel said.

"I understand that, and I am also grateful for it," Ariel softly greeted.

"I was also wrong to tell you something you didn't want to tell me" Ariel said.

"Forget that for now, I actually have things to say to you" Joel said.

"What's that?" ask Ariel.

"Tomorrow, you can come to the hospital to remove the cast," said Joel.

"Yes, come by at 10 a.m. I'll be waiting for you there" Joel explained, "Because tonight is my last hour to treat you as my patient.

"That's a huge relief,!" greet Ariel. "I'll come tomorrow" he continued.

'This is good news, but why don't I like it?' inner Joel.

"Thank you for being patient in taking care of me all this time, Joel" Ariel said.

"That's my duty, Ariel," Joel replied.

"Can we keep in touch even if you're no longer my patient, Ariel?" ask Joel was-was.

"Of course, Joel. You are my friend. A friend I've really had since I was in this town" Ariel said.

"So is I, Ariel. You're a friend that I've had since I was in this town" Joel said.

"Well, I'm gonna start cleaning up my stuff, so I can go tonight" Joel said.

"You can do it whenever you want, Joel. I wouldn't mind that" Ariel said.

"Thank you, but it would be better if I took care of it today" Joel said.

"Alright, if you insist so," Ariel replied.

Joel began packing all his belongings and stuffing them in his bag.

As soon as night falls, Joel leaves Ariel's apartment, and returns to work the next day.

Ariel goes to the hospital the next day according to Joel's schedule.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Ariel walks with her hands creeping on the wall, down the hospital hallway to the room where Joel is waiting for her.

TOK,,,TOK,,TOK,,,

Ariel knocked on the door, and heard a familiar voice from within.

"Come in" greeted him from the inside.

"Excuse me, doctor. I came for a cast release," Ariel said to the doctor who greeted her.

For a moment, Ariel's heart suddenly beats faster when he sees Joel in his doctor's suit.

'Did he look like this before? Why don't I realize he looks good?' inner Ariel.

Joel smiled then nodded and asked Ariel to sit on the bed that had been prepared.

Without saying a word, Ariel immediately got into bed with Joel.

"Well, are you ready?" joel asked, sitting at Ariel's feet.

Ariel nodded her head and Joel smiled.

Joel washed his hands and began to cut the cast that wrapped Ariel's leg.

His hands carefully and slowly, removing the cast, tried as much as possible not to injure Ariel's leg.

After the cast was removed, Joel cleaned Ariel's feet with water from a pre-prepared container.

Their proximity is so close during the cast release process, making their heart beat faster.

Ariel looked at Joel who was focused on her, with a prickly Ariel blowing Joel's forehead to cover the nervousness that plagued her heart out of nowhere.

"Don't tease me, Ariel,!" joel reminded me.

"you look so focused" greeted Ariel without feeling guilty.

"Let me finish this first," Joel replied.

Joel's fingers touched the skin of his feet, making Ariel pounding even more.

"Arkhh, where did this strange feeling come from? Why am I this big?' erang Ariel in heart.

Joel wrapped Ariel's feet in a dry towel and cleaned the remaining casts that were still attached, and began to move Ariel's legs up and down.

"Is it painful?" ask Joel.

Ariel simply nodded slowly with a face that was met with red.

"All right, then it's done. But you have to come again next week and continue for another month" Joel suggested.

"Well, thank you doctor" Ariel said.

Joel smiled and nodded, his eyes now turning to the note that was originally placed on the table.

"Your leg is still not fully healed, so it is highly recommended that you do not do strenuous activity before it is completely recovered" said Joel.

"Okay, that's all. You can go now" said Joel closing his note.

Ariel nodded and moved from her seat. His feet stepped on the floor and tried to walk and smiled with satisfaction.

"Thank you" Ariel said as she walked away.

However, when Ariel reaches the door, Joel's hand holds the door down until it is difficult to open. Just as Ariel turned around, Joel's hands were on either side of Ariel, locking her between her hands.

"What does this mean,?" ariel looked into Joel's eyes.

"Can you not look like this when you get out?" ask Joel.

"You mean,?" ask Ariel bangtung.

Joel took a deep breath and released Ariel.

'What am I doing? He's no longer my patient, I can't keep forbidding what he can and doesn't do" Joel said.

"Nothing, you can go" said Joel and quickly stepped aside.

Ariel shrugged her shoulders and immediately left the room where Joel was. With a light step, Ariel left the hospital with a relieved smile on her face.
